I had Placenta previa and was discovered due to a big bleed and they found that I had placenta previa they right away put me in house rest and was not able to do any type of physical work, or go to work so I could rest. now I am 8 months and the Placenta did end up moving!
mam how many weeks were you pregnant when you big bleed??

@carolina.oliveria Hi ..! İt's great that you are safely in your 8th month now and the placenta has moved up..happy for you! May I know at which week of your gestation you had your first bleeding? And also, if the bleeding stopped once you started resting.. I'm at 13 weeks atm..and had my first moderate to heavy bleeding today.. on progesterone injections and medications..but very concerned..
Same here
Very motivating thanks
Everything I’ve been reading has kept me freaked out. This helped me.
Thank you so much for explaining this!
Hello Doctor Perez, what is your general recommendation for a one time one day massive bleed due to placenta previa? Do you hospitalize the patient for the rest of the pregnancy or does it depend on other factors? Say this is at 24 weeks.
I’d love to see a video on cholestasis! I feel like not enough providers talk about this issue and it’s becoming more common. Thank you for what you do!! 😊
I had that and it felt like glass was coming out of my skin my entire pregnancy
@@ambermatthews5906 yes! I agree it was torture
was just diagnosed with placenta previa and put on pelvic rest. this is my 3rd pregnancy-first was an emergency c-section due to PPROM and had a VBAC with my second. havent had any bleeding yet, not even spotting but i HATED having a c-section and am seriously praying that the placenta previa resolves itself by the time i give birth.
Hopefully it moves 🙏🏻 I am 14 weeks and have it, it’s early for me, but I have had spotting and bleeding my entire pregnancy
Did you end up with a c-section or vaginal delivery for your 3rd? 😊
I’m going in for delivery on the 31st with placenta previa and I’m sooooo nervous. But my doctor didn’t even explain this to me completely like that.
Thank you for this very calming and informative video. It's been really helpful.
I don't understand why you keep saying pregnant people, and not just pregnant women or just women...
So so helpful. Thank you. Got diagnosed with cpp at 20 weeks (one prior c section) and really hoping it moves as I’d love to do a vbac!!!
I would love a vasa previa or a HG video.
Thank you! This was so informative!
Thank you for this
I have a low placenta and I want to give birth with c section.will it increase the risk of having placenta previa in my next pregnancy?
I had placenta previa with my second baby…not discovered until my son was born via c section
I’m 32 weeks pregnant and have placenta previa, but haven’t experienced bleeding. Alhamdulillah.
NO SEX AT ALL!!!! Make sure of that!
Salam alaikom! Hopefully everything went well.. any updates sister … I was told I have placenta previa and I’m 21weeks now.. so nervous 🥺 I hope inchaalah will be moved by the third trimester 🤲🏻
@@lilyramzy103walikum Salam wrwb I have the same issue. It didn't move for me but I also never experienced any bleedings alhamdulilah. I have a C-section scheduled in 8 days. Inshallah that goes well. Make lots of Dua and trust that everything that is happening is the best case scenario.
I had an placenta previa on my first pregnancy delivered my baby boy at 32 weeks..It was severe blood flow so they had to do c-section. Now after 2 years am 9 weeks pregnant with my second baby. What are the chances of me going through the same case as my first pregnancy?
4 pregnancies here .... All the same :( placenta previa
I am at the hospital at the moment as I had a bleeding again. This is the 3rd time I had a bleeding in 3 weeks. At my 15th week my doctor said I had low-lying placenta and had a bleeding at night but wasn't admitted. I was given progesterone. The second time was I was on my 17th week and stayed in the hospital for 2 days. And now I'm on my 18th week had a bleeding again as I had a diarrhea and causes me to go up alot and go to the toilet. The doctor incharge at the emergency said I have a marginal placenta previa. Gave me buscopan for the stomach cramps, increase my progesterone from once a day to 3 times a day. I had a myomectomy laparoscopy 4 months before I got pregnant. This was not a planned pregnancy and I am excited and worried at the same time.
I’m praying for you Jael, May God protect you and your baby Amen.
how are you feeling now ??jaelflorea0522
@@rubinazain684 hello, I’m feeling good these days. Thank you! How are you? I’m on REST. I can walk up to max 20 min daily, no physical activities allowed, lifting or prolonged standing. My doctor doesn’t recommend bedrest as it he said it will just complicate things in birth like Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism. We already discussed that I will have a c-section for birth as most of the Gynecologists that attended me at the emergency my main Gynecologist agreed this is the better option because I got pregnant 4 months after my myomectomy.
Just wanted to say wishing you a safe rest of your pregnancy. I had complete previa and countless episodes of bleeding from 23 weeks onwards. Made it to 37+2 before a big bleed caused my planned c section to become an emergency one. But baby and I made it through fine!
@@jaelflores0522 im doing good now, i have also marginal placenta previa, got spotting that day, my gynecologist didn’t give me any medication i was begging to them at-least give me some medicine, 2 day it stopped but im on rest i would say bedrest worked for me but now after 1 week im doing little house chores helping my husband at home but sometimes i feel heavy down 😔
Hi Dr Marta, I had my 32 wk scan today and my placenta is still covering my cervix by 1cm. Does this mean I have not much chance of the placenta moving up anymore?
This a good question mine was covering by 1.25cm at my 32 week scan I’m 34 weeks now
I am antithrombin 3 deficiency 😭. I am only 14 weeks, but have previa right now, yes it is super early, but I have spotted my entire pregnancy, and have had bleeding. The good news tho, is that I go in every other week to check on the baby. A c section terrifies me, because I am on lovenoq everyday to prevent clots. sigh.
Same here, currently been on one month bedrest
I have a full placenta previa for my second child and I bedrest in the hospital about 6 weeks. And 35 weeks I had c-section then continued for blood transfusions. It was a scary experience and very traumatic. My daughter now was 18 months old and I’m pregnant again scared having a placenta previa again. How many percent can have it again? In your practice how often this happen? Thank you
Did it happen again ??, sorry kinda in same situation 😔
I had two subchorionic hemorrhages and ended up losing my twins what causes this issue and if I get pregnant again what's the chances of it happening again ? My loss was almost three weeks ago
How far along were you might I ask? Very sorry that happened to you.
I was 12 weeks three days . The hemorrhages we're on September 18/19 I can't remember exactly and on September 28th
I've had a subchorionic bleed twice already and am currently pregnant with twins. So, I was just curious. I am currently 12 weeks with no bleeding. I'm of course worried about miscarrying. Again, I'm really sorry that happened to you. 12 weeks with twins is very different than a singleton I'm sure it was heartbreaking.
I will pray that your babies remain healthy and you can carry them to term.
I had a complete previa 5 months ago. Delivered by planned c section at 37 weeks. Never had any bleeding associated with it. Had some spotting at 5 ish weeks due to a subchorionic hematoma though. What I did have at delivery was lots and lots of bleeding. Ended up needing a blood transfusion. You can definitely feel it when you're losing a lot of blood swiftly. I thought I wasn't going to make it at one point. My vision started going fuzzy at the edges. Scary. My LO is an IVF baby and I understand this is a risk
Did you have a hysterectomy?
@Melinda c No. Thankfully my OB was able to stop the bleeding.
Was your baby in the nicu or did they have any issues ?
@Yve Cano She was in the NICU for the first 24 hrs. She's a bit delayed in her gross motor but on track with everything else. She has mild low muscle tone but a neurologist we saw said there was basically no way to tell what caused the low tone.
I m confused you said no bleeding with it but then you hemorrhages at delivery? That scares me. I was just diagnosed with this today
I just went to the er for what I thought was a strange period but tested positive for pregnancy so I had had a transvaginal ultrasound and they found nothing but I’m only about 3-4 weeks, is this normal to find nothing at this time and be lightly bleeding or spotting?
Yes, that is the placenta growing in. It can be accompanied by light cramps and can feel like a very light period.
If it gets worse, however, call your doctor or obgyn please and talk to them about it.
I had bleeding in 7weeks pregnancy and doctor told me baby died they and they clean my womb im so sad and it's my first pregnancy
I had a haematoma at 8 weeks and bleeding, im 27 weeks tomorrow and still have complete placenta pravia. After reading alot of comments, alot of women with previa seemed to have an early haematoma
Yes, I did have an early haematoma . Never had this with my other two!
Did you complete previa resolve? Mine was still complete at 28 weeks last week.
@@intalmdr4627 I'm 36 weeks now and still have complete previa. I'm due a section at 37 weeks. Definitely not what I want but it's the only option x
@@grounderprincess7799 My doctor is insisting on c section at 36 weeks. I asked if we could push it to 37 weeks and he said no. I am really sad my baby is going to be a preemie.I hope you make it to your schedule c section. Thanks for getting back to me.
@@intalmdr4627 he shouldn’t force you. Can’t you go elsewhere ? Is there a reason to force you? Apparently The lungs are not completely formed until 37 plus?
this was my first pregnancy ever, and my ob failed to tell me i had a previa. i woke up to a big bleed @ 25 weeks, and it just continued throughout my pregnancy. I had an emergency c-section at 32 weeks
I bled so bad, I had an emergency c-section. I filled several pads underneath me. They couldn’t control my bleeding. I was in the hospital for weeks!
My child was 23 weeks gestation when born.
He came home on a heart monitor. He kept coding and I had to bring him back to life after his was blue and not breathing. He was grey and lips blue. Heart monitor screaming. Doctors wouldn’t Beleive me!
I called the NICU, several time as and was told “you are a new mom” AS IF I WAS Exaggerating!
I was told I couldn’t bring him back, he was exposed to the world.
When I finally called 911 after trying to get someone to listen to me; they could NOT Beleive what they saw after what the heard monitor said.
Turns out his hemoglobin was so low, they could r Beleive he was even alive.
Today he has cerebral palsy and I feel that he was neglected medically.
PLEASE listen to your gut feeling and don’t listen to doctors who tell you “you are a new mom”.
You know when there is something wrong!!! Don’t listen to what doctors say over a phone call!
Get checked out!
A lot of good information but you speak too faster..
