Thank you! Finally someone showed an up to date video on the room, great review thanks!
Amazing video, I learned a lot about this vacation spot!
Awesome. Helped me a lot.
Omg all holiday reviews should be done this way.... so honest and helpful thanks !!! But I won’t chose this one lol
Thank you! I really appreciate your feedback ☺️ I am making a video on Paradisus Cancun hotel, if you are looking for hotels to stay at in Cancun, I highly recommend this one, in my opinion it's the best in Cancun 😊
I have been there over 10 times the last 25 years. Here is the summary:
The Good:
-Fairly close to the airport.
-beautiful grounds and beach area
-Many restaurants to choose without reservations
-Big resort where you never feel like you have to leave
-Good breakfasts and some decent restaurants
-Great pricing compared to other resorts.
-Monstrous pool area allows to you to find a quieter area to chill
-Some rooms AC works ok and all rooms have a refrigerator which is nice compared to other resorts without one.
-Some of the breakfast buffet servers are nice.
The Bad:
-Hideously long and methodical check in process dealing with the rudest desk clerks ever. Last time I wanted to punch the jerk he was so rude.
-Hideously rude and unhappy bartenders that don’t make you feel welcomed and don’t appreciate small tips. Therefore no tips are better. Later dogs.
-Rude servers in some restaurants that are arrogant and intentionally work slow to piss you off
-Beat up rooms that needed refurbishment 20 years ago.
- Long lines for drinks and buffet at times.
Overall I keep coming back because it’s priced 1/2 of other resorts that might have marginally better food and nicer employees, but the price is untouchable compared to those other Cancun AI resorts and hotels in the US Coastal Resort area that are more expensive per night and offers no all inclusive options.
The key to success is lower your expectations and expect rude employees and dumpy rooms and then all is well.
do you get enough drinks with all inclusive or do you have to queue for a long time???
Hi Peter! Thank you so much for such detailed pros and cons list! This definitely will help a lot of people to choose if this hotel is for them or not. Thank you again!
Thank u for the help!!! Peter also!!!!!!
I was just there last week and there are a lot of people staying there
Hi! Thank you for the update! :)
Hi! Great content!
I’m curious which color wrist band did you receive?
Hi! Thanks! My bracelet was blue.
muy bonito lugar,mi 5ta vez en el mismo Hotel. Muchas gracias a Gullermo xdel Pozo , Robin Perez, por excelente servicio y ayuda para mi y toda mi familia. Gracias, lo pasamos de lo mejor!!!!
Don't really speak Spanish but somehow I understand what you are saying 😄 Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at this hotel and that the staff was great!
Does the grand oasis have a more mature crowd? Not alot of kids running around? I looked up the most party oriented resorts in cancun and grand oasis keeps coming up in the top 3 in each list for that.
Hi! I'd say it's mostly people in their twenties. There were not a lot of families with kids and they hung out by the shallow pool, I didn't see any kids by the poolbar where music was blasting.
Try Breathless Cancun...its all adults and always have a party...DJ...going on.
@@tsmith1446 ok next time 👍 as of right now we have a room at the grand oasis and grand oasis pyramid on April
So many negative comments. Food wasn’t great. But usually all inclusive places aren’t 5 star. However the steakhouse is good and the sushi is really good. Our room was a suite so maybe the normal rooms stink. The pool was amazing. Nightlife is great. This is def a 18-30 year old spot.
Definitely agree that this is a perfect hotel for people in their early twenties.
This is during spring break… long lines and crowds should be expected
Yes, I agree, but long lines in this hotel were not because of spring break. The hotel is understaffed and there are just a few bars and restaurants, bars have only one bartender. And the bartenders are very chill and are in no rush to serve the customers... I saw that they can just stop working and start to chat with other staff members that are walking by, count their tips etc. Ultimately you get your drink you just have to wait for 10-20min. That was when I was visiting, hope that something has changed now, though by reading the latest tripadvisor reviews I can say that it has not changed a bit.
If you want everything included. Upgrade to black wristband. Your welcome
Oh, what a great idea, thanks! 😊
What does the black wristband give you?
I’m going in 3 weeks so I want to mnow
Hello...so is this a good spring break spot?
Hi! I would say - yes, if you like to spend your spring break partying all day with huge crowds of people.
@@PoolsideTravels How has COVID-19 impacted spring break?
hey is there room service included?
No it is not. Unless something has changed over the past year... though I highly doubt that.
I'm going for Christmas anyone know if it will be that busy i hate crowds!
Hi! This is a quite affordable hotel, that is why I am guessing that it is quite crowded basically all the time, especially in holiday time.
This is has to be before COVID right?
Yes, this was filmed at the very beginning of the pandemic. But as you can read in the comment section here, the hotel is still full of people.
So don’t book this resort. Got it thanks!
Well, as I say at the end of the video if you like meeting new people, are in no rush and don't mind waiting in lines, don't mind dated rooms and want to party like there's no tomorrow, then you should book this resort. If not, then don't book it 😅
@@PoolsideTravels so your saying this is a hood trip for 4 18 ur old kids that don’t want to bother older people and want to be around a younger party crowd and don’t really care about the rooms because we won’t be in it much
Mid covid just went last week... beautiful place but horribly run.. understaffed... power kept going out god forbid someone was locked in the hot elevator when it did
Hi! Thank you for sharing your experience! When I was there a year ago the situation was exactly the same too except for the power going off, that's something new to add to the "why you shouldn't go there" list 😄
Hi, in which month did you travel?
Hi! :) I traveled in March. But when looking at more recent videos of the hotel and reading TripAdvisor reviews it looks like there are a lot of people staying at the hotel right now too and the service is the same.
Do they have Coronas here?
Hi! Sorry, I don't know, I drank the beer that was included in AI, Corona was definitely not included. If they have it you 100% have to pay extra.
Can someone tell me what was bad about it
It would be faster to answer what was good about it, the bad could take hours, but just to give you the idea you can watch this video 😊
I was there a couple months ago and for me wasn't that bad , cool people , cool service , it was 9/10 . Not all experiences are the same .

No kids activities..is this adults only..
Stayed here was the absolute worst experience I’ve had. My bed was infested with bed bugs. Food was disgusting. Rooms nasty never again
Oh my, sad to hear that you had such an awful experience at this hotel. I have a video on my favorite hotel in Cancun - Paradisus Cancun, if you are ever thinking of going back to Cancun I suggest this hotel, it's just perfect. P.S. it's just my opinion I don't get paid to promote the hotel or anything 😅
@@PoolsideTravels thank you!! I’ll keep checking your page for more updates!! I think the worst part of grand oasis was I was so thirsty and there were no restaurants open. Husband and I lost weight 🤪😂 in a hot climate water is so important but the staff was the absolute worst about giving essentials that other resorts give extras 😖
@@PoolsideTravels it was beyond awful! They treated us awful! It’s like going to a communist resort! I really don’t know how they are still operating
Definitely staying away from this one
This must be pre covid
Hi! Yes this was filmed back in March. But when looking at more recent videos of the hotel and reading TripAdvisor reviews it looks like there are a lot of people staying at the hotel right now too.
@@PoolsideTravels Were you there in March during spring break period? I know this resort has the reputation of being the "go to" resort for spring breakers. This could explain the amount of people there. I am scheduled to go in february and they say the capacity will be at 60-80%
The worst hotel ever. Run, run , run away !!!!! It is terrible.
Depends on what kind of vacations you like, but if you ask me.. yeah, I 100% agree with you 😄
Why is it the worst ever
This doesn’t sound good loooool
Place is HORRIBLE
