1. Religion was basis of partition which I agree resulted into creation of Pakistan and India but at that time Kashmir was ruled by a Hindu king Raja Hari Singh who had kept Kashmir as a princely state...
He didn't go with PAK or IND...
But suddenly Pakistan army attacked Kashmir because of which Raja Hari Singh joined Kashmir with India as a result of which Kashmir became a part of India...
You said you chose to stay under rule of Islam but how it is possible that you chose to stay ruled under Islam with a Hindu king ???

We lost one generation to this cause, wailing for their homes and next generation has no clue who they are. Besides we didnt just lose homes, In almost all Pandit families there is a patient of diabetes, cancer, heart disease, children are in other states looking for work..it is a tough situation. Many families living in Jammu, have only one parent alive..there arent enough resources to follow a case. My mother died waiting for the desire to go back to her home. And when i went there recently, there s nothing left to call home. Are those neighbourhoods same, everything has changed, i couldnt recognise the area where i spent my childhood.

+Ullah. Statistics I have given are correct. Please also note, for you personally, the Ullah surname is Arabic in origins. It is NOT intrinsic or indigenous to Kashmir, which is by origin Hindu. Srinagar is also of Hindu origin. And dont talk like a fool, because a genocide was conducted against the Hindus in Kashmir, and it is not surprising at all they had to leave for their own safety. Even now they will not feel safe to return, unless the Govt. creates a safety mechanism.
