  • For years Wilson Combat has built a sexy but quality pistol. That’s why when I got asked to review the EDC X9L and the EDC X9 for personal protection and concealed carry, I was excited. They absolutely live up to the high expectations I had set in my mind about Wilson Combat pistols. If you have the money to spend, love guns that ooze quality, and have the looks to match, then the Wilson Combat X9 series is for you.

If you liked those you need to try the SFX9 4" 👍

EDC X9 is my daily carry gun. Great shooter and 100% reliable with a wide variety of ammo.

Do you think you would like say the sfx9 grip width a little better? I'm so torn because the new sft9 dosent have a light rail, but the 4 inch experior does. I just have to have the old slide look. The only thing that makes me second guess just getting the experior is the larger grips. I'm not a big guy and plan on carrying as well.

I have the WC SFX9 4 inch and I love it. Accurate and well made. I have the SFX9 S on the way and hopefully I pick it up today, so I can shoot it tomorrow. Great review by the way and I subscribed.

I bought the EDC X9S two years ago. My major complaint is that the pistol is not reliable shooting defensive rounds! It will shoot about 2 magazines and then start having failure to feed malfunctions!
I initiated a service request about the problem but haven’t heard back. I can clean it thoroughly and get a couple magazines to feed and then it starts malfunctioning! I bought a Sig P365XL and it has yet to malfunction! The expensive Wilson Combat cost around 3 grand including ammo to try to break it in to then find out it can’t be my EDC because I don’t trust it!!!

Has Wilson discontinued X9S? It's not on their website. There is X9 and X9L, but no X9S.
