      I ended up having to trim some of the top of actual mudflap because it would still rub. I think its because the KO2 tires have more of a square edge vs the more rounded edge on other tires.

    Might have to do this on mine. Prob add some washers to the bolt tho as I only have the slightest rub right at the curve back on the passenger side. Went 33x12.5r20 on a 20x9 0 offset to be safe and still get some rub 🙄. Guess I should've gone 305/55r20. Would have been perfect.

    Liked and subscribed! Excellent mod. I am doing mine today to eliminate some minor rubbing. I know this is an older video, but I noticed you put Fox shocks on your truck. Was that a worthwhile investment? I was thinking about putting them on mine, to improve the ride.

    • @modlife
      @modlife  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Thank you! The BDS kit with Fox reservoirs shocks was by far my favorite investment. The slightly longer travel and better dampening almost eliminate body roll, and even jumping the thing a few feet off the ground, they never blew out and never bottomed out. I will say that is primarily from the reservoirs and longer travel, but the adjustments were most useful in the rear to eliminate sagging when towing a heavy load. The front adjustments honestly didn’t give the range of feel I had expected, but still got enough use to say I’d do it again before anything else.

    • @modlife
      @modlife  Před 9 měsíci +1

      All of that said, even at the softest settings, they did make the truck slightly stiffer than the Ranchos on the street, so keep that in mind - it’s always a trade off.

      Shocks are mounted correctly. If you’re referring to the reservoirs, I mounted them to the back so they can be easily adjusted - the only mount point ahead of the tires doesn’t offer enough clearance to get a hand in there and would also give very little room for tire clearance at full lock (risking the tire hitting if compressed and turned in).

I installed mine myself in about a day and a half - with help it would’ve been a 6 hour job, but it is pretty technical and requires cutting & welding the frame for the diff drop. • @modlife

      That depends on your wheel offset. These are a 0 offset 10” wide wheel, which would be the equivalent of putting 15mm spacers on your stock wheels.
