Damn Connie! I wasn’t ready for that testimony. As quiet as you were, that’s the loudest debt free scream I think I’ve ever heard.
Connie, I usually only listen to the podcast but after hearing your story I had to find the video. I felt that scream in my soul. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Your husband seemed like a great man ❤️

That analogy about transitioning from military to civilian life was so helpful for me as the spouse of an EMS worker.
Dave, my son is selected for Green Beret in the Army… thank you for loving our military! He and his wife just started following your teaching you gifted them! THANK YOU DAVE!
Oh! My God!!!🙏I felt that scream Connie🥲Thank you for sharing!
I was just glad I didn't cry!!!
@@constancelee8633 I cried just a little.. Like Dave ..It seamed difficult for him to take that next call.🥲
Me too. When she did her scream my throat caught and I started crying. My gosh, talk about a legacy for the family and leaving his wife in the best position he could under the circumstances.

Oh Connie 😢 my heart goes out to you
Thanks for a great lesson Connie
Wow money is emotional. For all of us
OK, Dr. John. I lost it on the cow reference at the end. I grew up on a dairy farm. :D
I’m sorry Connie!! Congratulations!!!😢
I got hit with a 10,000 yr flood, so a year emergency fund is reasonably to me. I needed a 8 yr emergency fund. It was extreme financial and emotional hardship.
Yeah, Harvey was 200,000 dollar disaster for me. Flood insurance rocks. My emergencies tend to be 3000 -5000.
Cool lady. Sorry for your loss.
Great call with the military special forces guy making a battle plan.
As tough as I think I am, I have tears in my eyes
Harrison and his fiancee need to have sinking funds outside of the FFEF for new vehicles and other large purchases. With sinking funds, you don't have to pull money from your FFEF for non-emergencies. That should set his fiancee's mind to rest. Obviously, money isn't combined until after marriage.
Tremendo dave grasias eres el mejor
Rhoda & Randy 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Can i say to Dr John can you really go 90? Don't you drive an electric car?? Kidding. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love the show Dave is the best
Dave uses the sunk cost analogy to argue you should sell the condo if wouldn't buy it if you didn't own it. But that's exactly the scenario where a sunk cost would be in favor of keeping the condo because of the transaction fee associated with selling. The truer scenario would be would you buy the condo if it was 6% off, there are no closing costs, you wouldn't have to hastle with negotiating or lining up financing. Not to mention having to deal with selling the property.
So sad Connie teach me a lesson.
Books, books, books….sell them books Dave lol.
Wow. . Connie's story. I thought I wasn't going to cry after reading these comments, but I was wrong.
thinking of getting a will . but my lawyer said 500 bucks . not sure if i want to pay that much . i have the people i want to leave it to on all my investment accounts . so not sure why i need to pay that much money for something i think is covered except for my house .
Better to invest the 500$ incase something happens what if someone challenges the will. It’s been known to happen.
It’s better to have it detailed out.
People can turn and become others while grieving. Better to be safe and 500$ is nothing to avoid feuding and misunderstanding🦋
Well, the house is not in her name and they are not married, so if I was her I wouldn't put all my money to pay it iff either
He needs to wait to get married until he sees she is super dedicated to pay her school debt. He doesn’t put a dime toward it until they are married.
He is 20!
Idk who was cutting onions in the room…. Connie. Dang.
Mad crush on Dr John 🙋🏻♀️
I’m a Dave fan lol
What's a good age to get life insurance/ do a will?
Yesterday. Seriously though, if you have a partner or dependents both are strongly encouraged asap.
@@TravisMaciejewski single male 25 no house or assets. So no need for one?
@@lukabeast1150 life insurance is meant to protect those that depend on you after you are gone. If you have no dependents there is nothing to worry about. Your will decides where your assets go, if you don't have an appreciable net-worth to divide up (or no one to give it to) don't worry about it. Just make sure as your life gets more complicated you revisit these items.
What did you mean by not buying single stocks?
Dave is all about mutual funds (groups of stocks) vs single stocks like tesla or facebook. It's less volatility. If all your money is in 1 stock and company tanks then you're in rough shape.
Index fund buys many stocks (e.g. fifty stocks, although number can vary) versus carefully hand picking single stocks. My husband does pick single stocks (Australian because we are in Australia) and this has worked well for him. If I outlive him, I won't do the work of picking single stocks and will invest in a domestic index fund. There are heaps of index funds. Part of the equation is how much work you want to do and then why you are trusting your own judgement, versus trusting the broad average of the market.
i called zander what a poorly run business.i took my need somewhere else.
What’s the big deal about being debt free when you make so money. Try paying off big debt on my income. It’s a vicious cycle.
I am living debt free for the first time in my life. OMG. I will never go back to having debt. It is so relaxing. When my monthly check comes in, it’s ALL mine.
😭😭😭😭😭
Don't listen to Dave ..Better do some research
I’m so sorry for your loss, Connie. 🥹
