Hi there...am from Namibia and it looks like I am unable to open an account with them as I can not find FNB at the bank option or if am not in SA what bank can I use?
Hi Queen, this type of investment is only available to South African citizens and permanent residents. Namibia also has retail bonds through the Bank of Namibia.

Tisa, are there any tax implications on interest earned? Which i understand ur only exempt on 23,8k isn't the case with this one as well.
Iâll have to find out and provide an update, thanks for the question Nompilo.
This was really informative I'm definitely doing this one, if I may ask, on the Fixed term one you mentioned I can open two investments right, so let's say I do open those up neh on the first one I chose for my interest to be reinvested on the second one can I chose for the interest to be paid back monthly or twice a year? Or they both have to be the same on the interest side of things?
Hey Sthembele, great question. Youâre right, every time you open a new bond you choose your term (2, 3, 5 years) and interest options (re-invest, semi annually, monthly) again. âïž
Thanks Tisa - Will check it out đ„đ„đ„

Hi Tisa, can a non SA also open this account? Thanks in advance for your responds.
Hey Vetu, I think itâs only possible if you hold permanent residency.
Thank you so much, the information was really helpful, may God bless. standardbank has now increased their fixed rate to 11.8%, now I'm confused which should I pick since RSA bonds is 11.5%, but I don't trust standard bank with their interest payout.

Hello Tisa! How to deposit money from rsa retail bonds?
You need select the banking details for your bank while signing up and add those as a beneficiary to pay on your banking app.
Let me know if you manage.
Hey Tisa, can u please help with the bank information on RSA bond because I donât how to choose accounts when its comes to the payment reference .the worse part they didnât include Capitec and I have an account on Capitec ,what do I have to do there??
Capitec app allows you to send money to any bank, I also use capitec and I used my app to transfer money to my RSA bond on the 28th June and I received the confirmation email not so long
@@tebogokhosa5720 thanks for the info, i will check it.
what's the correct Account number you used because the one I put gives an error message saying I must put the valid acc number
@@Christine-Mahlangu
Step 1
Go to the acknowledgement letter you received and scroll down to banking details.
Step 2
Choose the FNB Account number
Step 3
Log in to your capitec app then add a beneficiary
Step 4
When adding a beneficiary choose other bank account instead of capitec acc/no
Step 5
Change your initial reference to the one provided for you on the letter then make the payment of your amount

Hey Lindokuhle, did you use the link I left in the description box?
Thanks Tisa, you really are a good teacher. So, is it possible to make early withdrawal?
Thank you Dineo đ Yes it is, after a year with penalties, before a year theyâd have to consider the reason and youâd also be penalised.
Hey Tisa. Is there tax on interest earned ?
By assumption Iâd say yes, but Iâll have to go and find out for sure.
Hey Tisa, Iâve just watched this for the second time because Iâm really interested in these Retail bond accounts.
Few questions, is there difference in interest on the three? If so whatâs the difference.
2. I would love to see how the interest on this compares with our other banks - like for instance 32 day accounts etc?
Hey Bea, itâs you watching it the second time đâš
Yes, thereâs a difference in interest, I added a screenshot in the video, there had been an update in interest rates, please visit the website to see the rates, link in the description box above, just under the video.
I like the suggestion youâre making in point 2, this would make a great video, Iâll do the research.
Thanks đâš

I want to invest in the fixed on for 5 years and interest be paid monthly but the interest are monthly if your 60 years above đ
I didnât realise that that that the monthly interest option is only available for people 60 years and older, Iâll check the clause on that. Thanks Louis.
Morning my lovely Sissy? Is this open for Namibians?
I donât think it is, only citizens and permanent residents. Maybe Namibia has something similar.
