thx for this series I am trying to make a datapack for my friends and I was struggling
I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong. I hope this series can help me understand my problem
protip: if you dont have a macro: make a command block and put "reload" in it. put a button on it. press it every time you need to reload

I'll probably go with custom items, they are fairly simple.

hello, thank you for the guide, i have a question, if, for example we want instead of cows make ALL hostile mobs be sent flying, how do we pick them? i've tried searching for type or tag "mob" "hostile" or something similar but couldn't find anything, thanks in advance:3
So, for that you need to create your own tag, which is basically a list of mobs. I have a bunch of them in my libraries tags folder you can look at to get an understanding of how it works.
@@WASDBuildTeam thank you very much for that! But i have a problem now, when i try /execute as @e[type= i dont see my list. JSON file is located in namespace/tags/entity_types, i have multiple files and the one named undead.json is shown up ingame, but if i try and name one of them skeletons like the one pre-made, it doesn't show up. Please advice me ._.

Idee;obsipick a pickaxe what breaks 4,4 blocks or 6,6 would be really handy for henwy and mines quicker and does 2 more damage than a diamand sword
I'll probably stick with 3x3 that I have. I think going too much bigger than that might be a bit broken.

Custom crafting is a whole, whole lot more tricky. I would put it as a mid to high level thing.
is there Like a List for all the data Merge Tag things?
The Minecraft wiki has a list of how to use all the commands. MCStacker can help you generate NBT so you know what to merge.

Mobs a weird thing, you can’t really make good ones like Minecraft does.
I would have to use Optifine to do that :/

I would, unfortunately unlike custom items there aren't simple ways to do custom entities in the same way. You either need mods or complex, hard to make fake entities
how do you get the laungaue to be minecraft or mcfunction
in VSCode, the click the bottom right that likely says "Plain Text", and set it to mcfunction if you have the Data Pack Helper Plus plugin.
Maybe, if i watch more of tutorials i will try to make atleast one?

@@Phantomcred might be able to help, check if your using capital letters to spell the namespace of your pack and if you are, change anytime you reference it aswell

make a new folder named "loot_tables" in your minecraft folder first. In the "loot_tables" folder, make a new file named (for example it will be drop from end dragon) "entities/ender_dragon.json". Inside "ender_dragon.json" type the following text:

Yes, but that is 3 button presses, instead of just 1. And if you have run any other commands it isn't the first command in your list.
