Hey guys, I took my cat off tap water and he recovered. I believe it was the minerals in the hard water that were causing this. Even though the vet said that tap water can’t cause it and there were no blockages on his x-ray.
When I was at the vet I asked about the water and he said no. He said stress causes it. I literally looked it up on my phone as he took the cat to examine him and within seconds, found tons of evidence that cats who drink tap water in hard water areas are much more prone to cystitis.
He said to give him stress drops. The stress drops did NOTHING. He only was healed after I changed the water. He is still stressed out as he and my other cat fight all the time. He hasn’t had an episode and has miraculously recovered after I switched to the distilled water.
It must be distilled water. Animals cannot process the chlorine, fluoride or minerals in spring, tap, most bottled water. And refrigerator filters do not filter out chlorine and fluoride. The screw on tap filters do nothing to filter out the chlorine and fluoride either. Many of the pitcher filters do not either.
You can get it from any store or have it delivered. The water must read “000” or as close to it as possible. And also I gave the neighbor’s dog only distilled water when they were out of town to work with her and she made a 50% recovery in 6 days! She had osteoarthritis and couldn’t even lay down on her bed properly. It took her like 20 seconds just to sit and she groaned in pain. She is so much more agile and up and trotting around.
It says it will take 7-60 days for animals to recover from chlorine and fluoride or mineral toxicity. It is causing arthritis and cancer in animals. Not just that, it’s causing so many other issues with the pets I was pet sitting for. Lipomas, paw issues, skin issues, brain issues, unexplained health issues. You name it, tap and hard tap water were killing the animals I know and love. I started drinking it too and feel much better this week. If it’s the water, maybe this might help. Good luck with this guys!

Definitely something I'll try. Were in her 3rd uti in a short period (2 months). My little lady passes all the tests and they are saying she's stressed ... I know my cat she's happy. When she's scared or is upset it's very different behavior.

I give my cat a fountain with distilled water and then she goes out and drinks the water running out of plants after rainstorm. I really think they preferr dirt in water ( not minerals).

My kitty has been urinating inappropriately since she got a UTI. We're trying another antibiotic to make sure that we didn't just use the wrong one. But my vet said there is a chance it's feline idiopathic cystitis. She's my family member. I will not consider putting her in a shelter. She doesn't have crystals but we did put her on a special diet. I'm really hoping she stops doing this but she's my baby no matter what she does. I'm also going to try a calming collar. I love my baby. She pees on me a lot. She peed on my dad. She pees on my clothes. I'm really hoping that she can stop. But I'll do anything for her.

What treatment did you have? My male cat has had this for over a couple years now and we were given pain meds and some anxiety meds. Besides the initial testing and labs to figure out what was wrong which was expensive but we found nothing and we were given this diagnoses. And all we were told to do was adjust water situation and have clean litter boxes and keep the environment as stress free as possible.

Are there any concerns about these supplements for cats with early kidney disease? My 16 year old Maggie was just treated with radioactive iodine for hyperthyroidism and has very early kidney disease. Her kidney values actually looked normal last time after altering her diet.

    • @clear_solutions
      @clear_solutions Před rokem

I have a wonderful vet. He recommended Porus One, which is a protein byproduct binder. Basically, when cats digest protein, the protein byproducts are processed by the kidneys and are excreted through urine, but Porus One binds these byproducts in the intestines, which leads to excretion through pooping. This reduces the kidneys' workload. My little one's creatinine and BUN have gone down. I wish I had known about this earlier. I highly recommend it. My little one is turning 18, and I want to give him the best, longest life possible. Best to your you and your little one. The other natural supplement our vet recommended is Purina Hydracare. I also recommend checking it out.

Then 1-2 days later he is in litter box constantly trying to pee or poop and getting blood so he is peeing little bits alot and he is pooping some along with it and it is kinda softer

    My male cat 'max'.
    Age : 1year7month old.
On 31march2023, 11p.m. started going to litter continually, 25times in 10min. But he didn't do urine properly, only few drops. All night he went to his litter but wasn't able to do it easily. Next morning he eat some dry cat food and drink little water.
1april2023, 4p.m, visited vet, he gave max injection cettriaxone 125mg 1/4 . Max had no fever , max bladder was empty, max weight was normal.
    Vet gave medicine: syrup cran-max 2ml (1 - 1 - 1) for 7days , syrup cetspan 100mg 2ml (1-0-1) for 4days.
4april2023 11:45p.m. he is not well. After taking medicine he is not well. He start having loose motions too.
I don't know what to do now.
Key point: after checking with vet, I think enjection was effective. He did pass urine normal way for 3-4 hours.

@@xoxoleidyj9085 I've been giving my little one Cranimals cranberry extract powder and Tinkle Tonic from Animal Essentials. I also stopped using litter box liners that were too small for his senior litter box, which was causing the liners to pull up in some areas and may have been making him feel uncomfortable using his litter box. It was the only thing I could think of that could have been stressing him. I would try to look for anything that could be stressing your baby, and a water fountain will also help with more water drinking. My little guy is doing much better now, thank Goodness.
