My Take on Diablo 4 Quality of Life

  • I go over the common issues everyone is having with the game and discuss my suggestions to improve the QOL.
    Diablo 4 QOL List
    Gameplay
    1. Movement speed is clearly something that every character should have and every player enjoys, so why not build that into the core leveling experience from 1-100. Maybe 125% at level 100. Basically granting .25% movement speed each level. Then players can choose whether they want more movement speed on their gear. Stop being stingy with the movement speed.
    2. Abilities like Druid Tornados should be a little more predictable when using the aspect for seeking. Any other classes that have issues like this should also get attention.
    3. Damage numbers are already out of control and season 1 hasn't even started.
    4. The horse obviously needs work. Many people complain about the horse navigation.
    5. Not really enough build diversity.
    Itemization
    1. Skills and Paragon points should be the source of the largest power increases. Basically make all abilities viable rather than dictating to us what abilities are usable simply because they have a legendary aspect that makes them op in some way. Then balance the game around this.
    2. Stats and gear should compliment skills in way that isn't just providing x% damage bonuses.
    3. Legendaries are too specific. They should be usable by all classes. Uniques should provide more meaningful changes to how spells/ability function or add major changes to a class or build. Would be awesome if these were also all usable by all classes.
    4. Respec costs are a bit over the top.
    5. Enchantment costs are a bit over the top
    6. Legendary aspects should all be listed inside the codex and should be upgradable as you progress and find better versions. This would remove the need to store aspects inside an already overly populated stash.
    7. There is an abundance of useless stats in the game due to vulnerable damage/crit damage/core damage being the most powerful.
    8. Damage to slow, stun, frozen, chilled, knocked back, knocked down, crowd controlled, etc.. last time I checked those are all crowd control effects. Why not just damage to leave it at damage to crowd controlled?!
    9. Crit Damage from skills(werewolf, werebear, earth, storm, lighting, fire, shadow, physical, cold, poison, and more??). Arbitrarily convoluted for the sake of it? They're all just crit damage. Why not just leave it at crit damage?
    10. Ancestral items should be able to roll with a 5th stat to allow for another chase.
    Dungeons
    1. Cold Enchanted affix sucks
    2. On death explosions are more annoying than challenging.
    3. Lightning Storm not satisfying as a dungeon mechanic.
    4. Tempest affix sucks. Wind walls are visually obstructive.
    5. Resource burn affix is an auto salvage on NM sigils for most builds. Why have an affix that only 10% of the builds will even play?
    6. Backstabbers. Why!?!?!?.
    7. Objectives in dungeons can be mentally draining. Objects that can be completed while on the path to the end of the dungeon make sense. Objectives that take you into a dead end just to walk back to where you came from do not make sense.
    8. Most dungeons with ranged enemies are not good for NM since they can all attack you at the same time, whereas melee enemies have to reach you before they can attack. I delete almost all sigils that are for dungeons where the majority of enemies are ranged.
    User Interface
    1. Obviously we need more stash space. Perhaps with side tabs like D3
    2. Sigils take up a lot of space and begin to become cumbersome. If I'm not breaking down keys regularly, that tab will be filled indefinitely preventing me from picking up more keys that drop regularly, leaving almost not room for elixirs.
    3. Quest items that are no longer needed should be able to be deleted. Would love to be able delete or drop these Druidic Spirit Offerings stuck in my Quest tab.
    4. The Quest tab in general seems to hold no purpose after you complete all the quests (other than to hold these unusable druidic offerings I have left over).
    5. Could just remove the aspect tab in the bag if they would just implement [Itemization-6].
    6. Search Features!?!?!?
    7. Favorite Dungeons Feature
    8. World boss timer on the game map would be nice so I can stop loading up a web page on my other monitor just to keep tabs on that all day.
    9. There needs to be options to hide many of the on screen texts that display during gameplay.
    10. Should be able to lock items in the inventory to prevent accidental sell or salvage.
    11. It would be nice to have a refund all button on the paragon menu as well.
    12. Enchantment window should provide list of available stats.

    @ 39 minutes you talked about adding a 5th stat to ancestral items. Great idea. Personally I would like sacred items to NOT drop in world tier 4+. Then, give ancestral items a low chance to roll with 5 stats. It's much easier to sift through my bags marking all 4 stat items as junk, leaving only 5 stats items for me to consider using.
