You give hardcore pvp players an open invitation and you can expect them to take it. Just don't think you're gonna load into a match and ignore the other players trying to kill you the whole time.

I've created a little bigger Tile and eveything glitched out with the walls getting out of another room and stuff, is there a place you manage the tile sizes? Thank you so much also, great project!
My first thought would be to ensure that the new tile static mesh has collision setup within the static mesh editor. The programming uses the collision to check for overlaps. It has to be able to trigger overlaps or it will not function properly.

@@CreepyCurlewYou should be able to simply open the project in 5.4 and once it’s done compiling everything it should just work. It’s all blueprint.

Really poorly put together video, and some terrible takes...
You can't really talk about tempering manual options when you haven't even collected all the manuals. Atleast check the codex as it showcases all the manuals in the game, should probably look at the options available before you talk about them.
I appreciate you mentioning this. I realized afterward that the collections had more tempering manuals. So I can see that there might be some different options for some of the items. Maybe with some of those other tempering manuals it might be more interesting. However, after playing a couple days of the PTR, I honestly feel like the activities are still too much of a slog to even want to grind for anything. That's even with the boost. I like all the changes they made to the itemization but the boring activities and the reliance on having to have perfect items to really make the game fun just kills it for me. I guess I was just hoping for something completely different than Diablo 3 with D4, but at this point I don't think they are interested making that game.

FYI, you can rarely be heard over the volume of the developers talking. You gotta remember man, Activision who thank god is gone cares nothing about the player base. The game was released under cooked so Activision got their end of year / last quarter, massive income influx which looks prime for their shareholders. Players don't come into the equation, the Devs have no power os say when it launched and I really dont believe they were happy with it, maybe I'm wrong. I may be optimistic but I think now MS has taken over Blizzard will have free rein to greatly improve this game instead of that Bobby C/sucker forcing the game direction for maximum income at all costs. Example.....The Devs said when asked multiple times over many streams that zooming the game out a bit is not on their radar. Why? because Activision mandates that if MTX skins are more close up and pop more the more people will buy them $$$$$$$$$$$. Them parasites are gone and long behold a zoom out option. and apparently mass MTX price drops incoming.

The game is fun, but it is starting to have an endgame problem imo. Though i guess it depends on how you feel about constantly running monos

The stash argument was super weird. You realized that it doesn't make any sense to compare the prices of it since the games have their own economy and still went on with it. The most important point is that Blizzard apparently managed to design it in such a stupid way that limits them now (which you pointed out aswell)
I understand where you are coming from. I guess for me, I wasn’t having any problem with acquiring gold (the rate felt the same to me as Diablo 4) and the stash tabs didn’t feel expensive at all and yet they reduced the cost anyway.

Totally agree. Looking forward to them continuing to improve things. The gaping maw of features between this and Diablo 4 is ridiculous. I've made multiple end-game viable builds so far, and everything has been a complete experiment. The freedom of build diversity this LE provides is amazing.
Just seeing this in my liked videos. I’m turning 20 this year and I was about 13 when I first watched this video. God I miss destiny 1
I can say with great certainty that I had the highest of hopes for the Destiny franchise, and while it was a great game, there probably will never be another moment quite like experiencing the early access alpha and beta back then during Destiny 1. I credit much of that to the mystery of Destiny that still existed back then.
This You Tube content is very valuable for the game developers, Your platform will grow as you bring these features to more of the players and redefine their perspective.

i couldnt understand how to open the project to practice and play around. im trying to learn how procedural works in unreal and cant seem to find any way to open this project to play around
You have to have Unreal Engine 5. I can’t remember if the project was made in 5.1 or 5.2.
Old Video, but I couldn’t do the glitch, so I used my Sorceress to kite the Matriarch around the area while my lvl 20 companion healed me through. There were more than a dozen moments where I fell below 10% HP (and a few below 5% HP), but was able to heal myself enough to make it to the end. The hardest part was that my Force meter ran out around half way, so managing that, my HP, my abilities, and the boss was quite the handful.
This is epic, fantastic work! We've recently started on our own dungeon/ map generator but it's ace to see someone else doing it/ have done it, and to see them doing so damn well too! Kudos to you man. We're going to give your dungeon generator a go later this evening as it might fit our purpose better than our own. Out of curiosity, have you considered getting the link between rooms to randomly generate doors? If this does fit our purpose after some testing, it would be ace to see how you develop this. Also, can't wait to hear more about your own game release too! Keep us posted and keep up the ace work!

@ 39 minutes you talked about adding a 5th stat to ancestral items. Great idea. Personally I would like sacred items to NOT drop in world tier 4+. Then, give ancestral items a low chance to roll with 5 stats. It's much easier to sift through my bags marking all 4 stat items as junk, leaving only 5 stats items for me to consider using.
im really interrested in knowing how do you deal with collisions? when the next piece is spawned how do you check to make sure it doesn't spawn colliding with another piece?
It’s been a while since I had that project open but I’m pretty sure I run a box collision using the box extent of the mesh I’m trying to place. If there is a positive collision, it either tries another piece or it just closes that transition, I can’t remember exactly.

so this is amazing work and i get why you went with the room gen instead of walls on tiles but if you start making styles of rooms with say cobble walls or anything that is organic in nature how are you going to deal with the transition points overlap/clipping on geometry?

Thanks. You can see the improved version here czcams.com/video/1qiMLPBakY8/video.html Essentially what’s going on under the hood is each tile has something called a transition component. Some have more than one. When the tile is spawned, a transition component is selected to extend and if that extension fails at any point it falls back to another actor and selects another transition to extend until it reaches the end point or the max amount of tiles you requested.
As for materials and meshes, you just import them and setup materials inside unreal engine using the material editor.

Thank you. I’ve actually had this algorithm in my head for the last five years and just finally decided to build it out to see if it would work. It can take any size tiles. I’ll have to check out your stuff. I’m considering turning this into a plugin once it’s complete. I’m going to build some new tiles that actually look like dungeons now and give them a shot. Then I have to build the procedural prop creation so it can fill the rooms with stuff.

@@reeanimationgaming1034 actually it’s quite simple. You spawn the tile and then check for overlaps, removing the previous tile from that list. If there are any overlaps you destroy that tile and attempt to create another.

Dude!! This is a fantastic video!!! I’m making a diablo like sidescroller, and I’m fumbling around with how to do loot correctly.. This is gold ❤️ I’m doing something similar to this, but your structure and organization is much better. Widgets in unreal is still a big mysterie to me.. How do you make it so your widget boxes are resizing depending on how much text and so on you have? Anyways. So what you want to do is build the ui dynamically. Each part of the item tool tip should be generated at runtime and attached to the main tool tip (the part with the item name or title) in some form of vertical/scroll box.
Something I should add is, don't use a for loop delay like I did in that video to spawn the loot. Just use timers.
