From someone who thought the suns could win a title, this is got to be the most embarrassing loss I have ever seen. There's been blowouts this bad but not so fast and not in a game 7 to a 60 plus win team against a team that has one real star and that hardly anyone thought could win this series, and they were ahead. Luka has earned my utmost respect as a superstar
As a Mavs fan it's watching another team going through the same heartache we once had. I remember losing the NBA Finals againt the Heat after being up 2-0, and then racked up 67 wins the following year only to get out-hustled by the #8-ranked GS Warriors in the first round.

It's not the score it's that he outscored their two best players combined and had matched there whole team in points by the end of the 1st. And they didn't do anything all game and had the best record in the league. There is so many things wrong with this that makes it so much more than just another disappointing blowout. Other blowouts don't compare to this one. EPIC FAIL!
I’m a Mavericks fan since the Mark Aguirre and Rolando Blackman days,but this Luka is a killer and yes I believe all those antics by Booker turned out being extra motivation for the entire Mavs team to pull off the unthinkable

Suns are a very soft team. This wasn't as shocking as the media makes it. If not for CP3 having 2 flawless games in the Pelicans series the Suns would've got swept in that series. I mean the Pelicans dominated them without Zion so lets not get too high on Dallas. I mean Luka is great and all, but McCollum and Ingram were just as impressive in that Pelicans series.

Lot's of people thought I was tripping saying last year's Suns team were the luckiest team in NBA playoff history. Every team they played leading up to the finals had either their best or second best player injured and out. AD with the Lakers, Jamal Murray with the Nuggets, and Kawhi with the Clippers. The Suns choked historically against the Mavs, an Ass kicking for the ages.

I live in Phoenix and I don't root for this Suns team. I've been a pariah in my group chats because I've been saying it the last two years, the big three of the Suns are soft and have misplaced arrogance. They are crazy skilled, Chris is a lock HOFer and Booker prob will be too but I just don't respect them. I don't think Chris has the toughness or durability, I don't think Booker has the maturity and I don't think Ayton has the heart. They are a finesse team that skated by the regular season but when it comes to playoff they just aren't built for it.

Luka Legend. I think Dallas is an All Star short of winning a title though. I love Luka, and Brunson and Dinwiddie are nice players but they need another go to guy. Porzingis didn't work but I think it was the right idea. Luka needs a number 2 he can count on night in and night out. But Luka alone is pretty damn good though.

Except maybe Dinwidie, these are all role and bench players who are playing their best basketball because of Luka. It's like when Lebron played in Cavs with Varejao and brought them to the finals. He gets the maximum out of average players. To me Luka is very similar to Lebron when it comes to leadership, now we will see if his ego will destroy him like it destroyed Westbrook and Harden, or he'll be one of the greatest that played this game.

You forgot 2 things Wilson, Luka outscored the entire Phoenix Suns starting 5 by himself in the first half. 24 or 27 points on just 12 shot attempts, and he had more points than Devin Booker, more rebounds than DeAndre Ayton, more assists than Chris Paul, and more steals than Mikal Bridges. Not only that, the boy destroyed the Suns in an extremely merciless fashion that the franchise had to write an apology letter to their fans afterwards. They even posted it on social media!!!! That's how bad it was.

Great video, mate! This is what happens when you disrespect and underestimate your enemies. Great generals of the past knew this simple truth well. Thus the universal truth 'know your enemy' is so important. Know their strength and respect it and know their weaknesses and exploit them. Never disrespect them. The Suns got cocky and it fueled Docic and Mavs to destroy the Suns. Notice how Luka is always humble. Life taught him this. At 16 he started to play for #1 team in Europe against grown men. They were better and stronger than him and he had to respect that to move his career forward. That's why you never hear him laugh at his opponents, but always praising them. He understands his strength (offence) and weakness (defence) and knows it can be used against him to the detriment of his team. Due to this he has the right attitude towards his opponents and respects them. This was a painful lesson for CP3 and Booker and hope they draw conclusions from this and apply this lesson in the future.

This is a really good video showcasing 2 dudes who poked the wrong bear. I'll be honest, it was very satisfying to watch this whole event unfold simply due to unearned swagger Phoenix was exhibiting even though they hadn't sealed the deal. They were obnoxious and got a dose of humble pie and it was a beautiful thing to watch. And this is coming from someone who holds no horse in this race.. If you're going to act like idiots then prepare for the worst if the worst happens.. I can tell you this much as well, this team hasn't been the same since.
