He earned a bachelors of arts degree in 1994. If any program is going to teach you about other groups of people, it's a bachelors of arts degree, which he earned in 1994, which is 6-7 years prior to Blackface. I don’t play nor do I watch hockey anymore. But i fondly remember meeting Don Cherry at parkway mall in north York back in the 80’s. He asked me how I was doing, shook my hand and gave me a picture or something. I understand what he meant. He always raves about various ethnic players, Canadian or International. He was born in a different time and was in the service of our Country, and remembers fallen soldiers personally. How would you feel? Seeing less and less people wearing the symbol of remembrance for your fallen allies? Bottom line is this was a quick smear campaign of an 85 year old national treasure. On another note, think of all the off colour things you have heard seniors say in your time lol. If you don’t know any wait a while. Give him his job back!

@Fanny Grimmesey actually all it takes is the most basic level of intellect to see when someone is being racist. But if you want to pretend like you know anything about me go right ahead. Here's some facts for you: I hate everyone equally, I have homosexual, African American, Native American and Asian friends and we all actually have intellectual conversations about the subject of race and the hate the typical human puts forth. The fact you think I'm 1-Butthurt or 2-Being a wuss is pretty funny. All I did was reply to a comment, specifically the part of using the words "you people." His overall message was for people to show gratitude for this country, how hard can it be to understand that? These days most people nitpick every little word and act like it's the end of the world. The word "Racist" has been so tainted by false perceptions, I think most of y'all need learn what a true racist is instead of acting like babies. I'm an immigrant, along with my family, and none of us are getting upset over it.
