Me too. Cherry would have been fired 10 times since he did, as MacLean , Botterill, etc. drove the telecast into a woke ditch. How much does a primetime ad cost on HNIC cost? The book "The Hockey Jersey" ( or was it sweater ) has probably sold 8 copies, but gets promoted several times every Saturday. Botterill gets her knickers in a knot because Ivan Provorov exercised his rights, yet her telecasts promote online gambling ( how much addiction, marriage breakup, suicide will she and her colleagues be partially responsible for? )

I love Don Cherry. As a Buffalo native I don't always agree with him as he does not like to give respect to American teams and always routes for Canadians but he is a Canadian so what can you expect? I just like how he is a no bullshit kind of guy. Like I said I often disagree with his sentiments but he is never going to sugarcoat something because its considered to be in poor taste among the hockey elite. You gotta respect that.

+eddy Masson I agree, for Cherry to say that Stamkos gets abused more than Crosby is a crime. No player other than Lemieux has seen the abuse that Crosby gets. For Cherry to say that proves he really does not know much or watch Crosby play, he only watches highlights of retaliations.

To be fair, Crosby has improved immensively in the past years. He's tough now. He grew up. It's quite obvious that most hockey fans can't see the game objectively at all. Having said that, I think Malkin hasn't changed at all. He's still probably one of the dirtiest players in the league and seems to have no respect for other players.

-Dirty play, we are the only dirty team? I think not. How many fights did the Penguins alone double team a player, pull another players hair, dive, knee on knee players, slash intentionally, etc. Don't worry cause its not just the Pens or Flyers that are guilty of this.
-Go o the Bell Center and wear a Bruins jersey that says 'Habs Suck!' on the back, tell me how hated u feel. Or any major rivalry for that matter.
-Statistically speaking, the Flyers are one of the most successful teams in the NHL.
-Flyers have yet to come close to bankruptcy, cant say the same about some teams. That kinda shows how loyal as fans we are. We stay with our team thick and thin.

as a pens fan, and a fan of crosby i see more whining on the net then i do from him, hes not the only player to have dived but i usually see flyers or bruins fans stirring bs about him, sid has changed hes really not as arrogant and is a great team player im not going to say hes the best of all time but hes alot better then you guys give him credit for hes def one of the best the league has and as long as he scores goals you'll have to live with hearing his name, the cindy comments are childish and ignorant hes made alot more great plays in his career then the few unprofessional ones

2:48 crosby slashes Giroux's wrist instead of going for the puck. He did that throughout the whole series to Giroux on face offs and ended up breaking both of his wrists. Giroux needed surgery after the season was over to repair them. Real respectable guy right! You'll never see that kind of childish behavior from Datsuyk, Toews, Stamkos, Giroux or any of the other elite players in the NHL. If your that good all you need to do is go play the game with respect.
I remember when my dad watched this guy. Never knew anything about hockey, but for some, dude was just really entertaining.

Crosby's matured a lot since he's started playing to the point where I like him now. You have to take into account that when he started he was 19, and acted like a typical 19 year old would act. Hell I remember what a little shit I used to be.
He's the best in the league at the moment and that's not going to change for a very long time. He's only going to get better and eventually will earn the respect of everyone. Mario Lemeuix started off the same if not worse, and he ended up being one of the greatest too.

The Sidney Crosby's (d'oh I mean the Pittsburgh Penguins) are despised by so many players, teams and fans is because of Crosby's constant whining and diving and I'll-cry-and-protest-if-I-don't-get-my-way attitude. This clip is almost 2 years old, and the Sidney Crosby's (I mean the Pittsburgh Penguins) and Crosby himself HAS NOT CHANGED. And the NHL doesn't help maters, since they have decided (with the help of NBC) that everybody is a fan of the Sidney Crosby's (I did it again, I mean the Pittsburgh Penguins) and that everybody lives in Pittsburgh, PA. Like they did with Wayne Gretzky, the NHL has made it protocol to force everybody into liking Sidney Crosby, whether we want to or not. And the NHL has decided, on their own, that everybody lives in Pittsburgh, PA and we are all fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins, whether we want to be or not, because of Sidney Crosby. When the NHL "used" Gretzky for marketing purposes, we didn't have social media, and people liked Gretzky (except me, and I believe I was the only Canadian kid in the '80s who despised Gretzky and still do) because we were constantly told how great he was. And he was only "great" because, without social media, we didn't know that Gretzky was PROTECTED by the NHL and the Edmonton Oilers, and how Gretzky didn't play for the Edmonton Oilers, but they played for him. And that he too was a spoiled brat crybaby. But today, with internet/social media so prevalent, what the NHL did to Gretzky they are doing to Crosby, and the league failed to realize that forcing people these days to love Crosby would cause resentment and a backlash. And with social media, we can find out instantly just what kind of person Crosby really is : a spoiled brat suck, to say the least. Just like Wayne Gretzky was/is, only without the internet back then we didn't know it

Loved growing up watching hockey and coaches corner..Sid maybe in his very resent days was 1. But long since then he had changed, and definitely just knows the game, alot more than others! GO PENS!!!
I Remember playing road hockey with Sid a few times back in the 1990s... he did end up crying one time over something small...Saw him this summer Fishing on Grand Lake though class act guy now. He does get a lot of abuse he doesn't deserve.
The League hasn't turned against Sid, in fact, the NHL has handed the last two Cups to the Pens on a silver platter.
