    Excellent presentation. The details assist with IPA precision during study design. I found the “see beyond the research question” information particularly meaningful. I revised my interview questions to ensure I cover the participant views prior to the change to illuminate the unique factors of the lived experience in focused on for my study. Thank you!

      As linguistics research is not my field, it is difficult for me to answer. However, if you are going to explore linguistics as a phenomenon, something that is experienced, and that includes a inherit process of meaning making, yes..you can use phenomenological research design.
