@@JoeyLuckyBoyNato I do love your videos on the league stuff, but in a previous video you said you already listened to RISE. So you didn't want to make a reaction video on this one because it wouldn't be a true reaction.
However I like the breakdown.
@@JoeyLuckyBoyNato ey bro, am new here and yeah, people will enjoy this, binged some of your vids and yeah, I love it.
Hasn’t hit half a mil yet... idk why this song bangs and Joey knows what he’s talking about
RISE is even more amazing with the context of the video. At 9:04 the lyrics are "And when the giants call to ask what you're worth" while the "Main character" of the video finds the best player in the history of the game, a legit giant.
For anyone who doesn't know, the video tells the story of the previous year's worlds. The main character is one of the most iconic members on the team that won, someone who has been around since the beginning, and someone who always felt just a bit short, before this year when he and his team finally were able to take the Championship.
As someone who has watched every worlds since season 2, which was the first one that wasn't just NA and EU anyways, the video really does hit hard. The bit at the end was signifying one of the major storylines of the worlds this was released for. There's actually an insane amount of thought put into the fan service here, choosing the most iconic member of each team they beat, along with associating a champion they each played in their series against each other. The ending showing him at the summit, and then a number of this year's world championship entrants coming to challenge for the title.
When he said "those are birds" I felt that
U r right about the singer’s voice. The effects turn the voice too much and make this song so good. When this song performed live, that was the worst thing u ever hear
thats true
It wasn't tho, Mako was the only one that fucked up the live performance cause he obviously couldn't hit those notes but the "RISE" part and Bobby's rap were on point.
It wasn't bad. Glitch Mob did their thing. Tyler's vocals towards the end is amazing, plus Bobby's rap part.
Mako is the only one that ruined it.
@@jzfy Too be fair, Mako was sick that day but he still performed, so props to him.
lol 12sec in and that "weilcum to da wiaald..." made me really confused :D but the RISE hook part is fireee
I’ve only recently started watching you and I must say your the most chill and in depth about it,I keep coming back to your reaction I learn a lot from you breaking it all down
When he has reacted to KDA, and True Damage but had yet to of reacted to the old stuff...
NATO you got a lot on your to do list.
Check out Varus: As We Fall. And your right the video is the one that has complexity with all the references made in it.
The Vocalist is Alex Seaver, the guy behind Mako. He's my favorite artist, but Mako used to be a duo act. It's also worth noting that he's been in more and more songs for League as time goes on. His first song was a warsongs remix called "Piercing Light", he also worked on "Awaken" and sang "As we fall" just to name a few.
He is apart of the music team for rito

I have listened to this song so many times over the years since it came out and having interesting things pointed out that I never heard before like the harmony at the end is really cool
You should really watch the live version they did for the World Championship! Ignoring that Mako (main verse singer) Admitted he was drunk off his head when he performed, Telle Smith (The guy singing the higher octave bits e.g. RISE) Sings it pitch perfect and you can really see the effort he's given out when belting out the chorus'

The video production is very high quality and not lazy at any point. The video in gereral gives me a good first impression of your music before i even really listen. You are doing great here Nato.
this song was hype as, especially the video seeing the characters and the people portrayed in it was epic, also told the story of the team that won worlds the year before and the biggest barriers they had to overcome

Please do a react for "The curse of the Sad Mummy" its another league song and it's so pretty to listen too
9:55 you did the same motion with the guy in the video lmao
When you called it a ride effect, the character that just appeared on screen is a combination of the pro player Faker and the in game character Ryze. Cool triple meaning.
Man, I LOVE these analyses. You do a great job finding exactly why these songs of theirs are so damn good. Like, I know they are, but you figure out WHY and HOW, and it all makes sense. Seems like the Riot teams' big strength is forming a simple, solid, yet unique skeleton of the song first... using straightforward and limited main things like melody, vocals, beat, etc... except doing so in very unique ways (uncommon drum patterns, unusual key changes, retro synths not often used anymore, etc). All while varying and switching things up just enough to keep the interest in the song growing steadily from start to finale. Then finally, they go back and add decoration. The effects are often subtle, not added just for depth alone, but to bring perfect balance to the 'skeleton' they first built. To add power, to add perks of interest that keep the listener hooked at strategic moments, to shake things up then stabilize them again in a way that makes each piece they do utterly thrilling!
I never expected a video game franchise to spawn some of the most perfect music I've ever heard, but well, here we are. And not even just a corny attempt at getting attention, but truly putting their all into every piece and making cinematic ART completely intertwined with the pinnacle of musical creation. And I'm so glad you're here to bring all this to our attention, one song at a time, to better realize just what musical geniuses we're lucky to coexist with. :) Only problem is that now I'm spoiled, cuz it's hard to find more songs that hit so many buttons on the Perfection board, lol. ;D
By the way, if you haven't already, check out Glitch Mob's "Seven Nation Army" remix for a taste of the dynamics and ability to transform the familiar into the thrilling. That's where I first heard of them before this song. They breathed new life into a classic. :D
Anywaaaaay sorry just had to fan-spazz about Riot's selection of talent and execution of a whole new era of entertainment. X33333

Btw NATO just to help you with your video breakdown each one of those people symbolize a real esports person like the main character is ambition from Samsung team, he fights G2’s Perkz when Perkz plays yasuo and ambition ended up winning the series climbing higher towards finals, the lava dude is Uzi and he is representing his famous Vayne champion and during the matchup Ambition crushed them in their games, then in the final fight we all know that’s faker and his ryze and Samsung ended up winning worlds ambition being the hard carry throughout the journey. Some other things to notice would be all the fallen teams that lost worlds in the beginning(all the flags) and while he is climbing or in the background of some shots you can see previous tournament things like championship Thresh from years. When he enters the lava thing on the outside you see it’s Olaf’s cave so it symbolizes RGN and their famous jg that played Olaf, and uzi is was from RGN too at that time so it makes sense. When ambition gets his glasses hit by uzi one time that symbolizes the one game that he lost in his best of 5 but he still ended up winning as sejuani which was the champion it showed at the end of the volcano shot. Again on his journey you can see statues of some teams and the championship zed statue, showing previous things. You also see the big group of statues at one point too. Once he reaches the finals he sees all the people/teams that have been there too, all their logos on their statues and at the top(symbolizes reaching finals) he finds the most famous league player just chillin at the top 😎 it’s motha f’in faker. Faker is his famous ryze and ambition is jarvan in this fight and jarvan ults at the end symbolizing the play that ended he game which was when he killed faker and they game ended soon after that. At the very end you can see all the other players and their signature champions getting ready to climb to the top too. Hope you doing well and peace ITS NATO!

This was 2018 lol worlds song but the video is basically recap of the journey player called "Ambition" had in 2017 when his team won worlds. All the people he encounters are real players too.
