- Please help me with that problem when I set the camera in PAL mode.
If I keep it in NTSC it doesn't happen and also it doesn't show up in DVR footages but it's really annoying in flight...
I really need that extra resolution...

i'm actually working on a big project and i'm also very busy with personal things so i's hard for me to post consistently, expecially these types of video that require a lot of time and research.
I'm working on a part 3 but it's taking me months ☠️

as I am probably about to buy my FOURTH (shiiiit) cam module, is that new cam combo more durable? 2 of the 3 broken cam modules weren't directly caused by an crash, but one by overheating or something and the other one got weirdly unreliable with sending a good picture(grey frames, overbrighted). And btw do you have overheating issues with the cetus? thanks
Bruh new cam combo is still the same shit so just buy a tiny mamba 400mw vtx and a runcam racer nano 2 and mod it😉
My Cetus X is no longer a Cetus X but mine never overheated (it was also a beta test unit not the final release one)
Wow, definitely seems like some good improvements! My Cetus X is still stock, but I was wondering, what kind of temps are you getting on that?? My core temp gets up to 80C and on a hot day even 90C... do you think that the temps could be damaging anything or should I just ignore it?
I remember it going up to 75/80°C while flying.
I never worried about the temps cause when it was stock it used to go up to 95°C and it was still working fine
Love the video I added a Speedybee tx800 vtx to my Cetus x about to try this battery mod to get more flight time. Currently at like 2.5 mins
HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO FIT A TX800 IN THE CETUS X

Idk maybe with a magnifying glass you can manage to see better👍
The pins aren't that small to solder the capacitor. You may find some difficulties for the camera pins those are reeeeeally small🧐

hey man id love to see some flight videos with your setup. I like what youve done to it, also have you considered 3d printing a new canopy, I know you got it all to fit but it looked a little tight, thats saying you have access to a 3d printer and cad software but i think there could be protentional there.
Well my setup changed a lot now i mounted everything on a 2" carbon frame so it's not a Cetus X anymore but i had no problems with the original canopy and i made it that way so everyone could do it even without a 3D printer, yes it was a bit tight but it did the job😂

The change in flight time is significant. All from the higher C rating of the battery or is there anything else I'm missing?
The xt30 connector is the main cause but the capacitor makes it even better

Yes of course and it also can deliver more power with less heat

Awesome vid! So I would assume you are getting black frames in your goggles because PAL is a different frame rate than NTSC. If your goggles are doing a 30fps NTSC and you're only giving it 25fps it would be off its timing. Thats a complete guess but could explain it.
I thought about that too but I checked on the BetaFPV website and it supports both so I thought that maybe I'm doing something wrong...
Which video transmitter did you end up using? I broke my entire stock camera assembly in a crash so i have a spare cam but need a vtx.

I put a longer ant on mine but should have drilled a hole and brought it up like you did. The only other mod was to replace the arm button on the controller to a bat sw. I found that when I went to kill the motors the button would stick.
Yeah you should really drill that hole and secure the antenna😉
The vibrations cause signal loss and interference so try to make it as still as possible with the drone body👍
Instead for the controller I didn't notice any sticking with the button so i'm fine with it but great addition🤝

I did secure the ant with the shrink tubing the way that the original was done and some goop as it exits the back. No problem so far, but I like the idea of bringing it up away from the drone to get a better signal envelope that is horizontal polarized. I have also thought about a lollipop for a little extra gain. It fun to mod😀
I have 2 questions
1. Can I install a capacitor without changing connector to the battery
2. Can I use a capacitor 16v 100uf?

The original antenna for the video transmission is a 5.8ghz. It uses 2.4ghz only for the radio signal😉

Yes you can but trust me it's better to change connector to an XT30 and go with the betafpv 2s 450mah packs.
You'll get a lot more flight time and less voltage sag👍
Good morning. what to be the maximum range of use of the cetus with the mounting of the antennas?
I usually stay around 300/400m maximum cause there are obstacles where i fly, but it's just a safety precaution, i think you could go as far as 500m with some obstacles.

Regarding the antenna I just bought it and prayed that it will fit and then when i tried it it was perfect i didn't even had to drill a bigger hole for it.

@@KuroseAE how did you modify the batteries 🪫🔋 exactly: can you please go over cutting them open safely without damaging them so I can see how to accomplish this without ruining them; because I want to add the XT30 connectors to mine!
I didn't touch the original batteries...
If you take a look at the first video it's shown that I bought new ones that come already with the XT30 connector (you can find them on the betafpv store or clicking the link in the description).
To use the original batteries you just have to solder the XT30 connector on the flight controller and use the original BT2.0 connector to make a XT30 to BT2.0 adapter (but I don't really recommend doing that, original batteries only have 30C and get really hot and die fast).
Buy good quality 2S battery packs with high C rating (I'm fine with the ones I linked in description😉)
