If you cast your mind back to early December 2023, I announced the winner of this amazing Derwent Inktense 100 Set, this was a free, world wide colored pencil giveaway running since the October 2023 with a view to the winner receiving the set in time for Christmas.
Unfortunately, as of the 10th of February 2024, the winner has still not contacted me, despite me doing all I can to track said winner down as well as asking you guys in a previous vide, that if anyone knew the winner, please let them know. Unfortunately this was not to be and so I am running the giveaway again.
There is very little that you need to do in order to win anything I giveaway on the channel. The first is leave a comment and the second is check back to the announcement video to see if you have won.
It's also important that you listen to the details in this video to avoid being tricked by scammers. I can only advise you guys and help you as best I can to avoid scammers. All you need to do is listen to the details in the video and know that the only way I will announce the winner, is via a CZcams channel video announcing whoever has won. I will not leave a comment telling you that you have won. I will make a video, where software selects a winner from the comment section and that is it.

I think they’re so weak. Art helped me such a lot when I was medically retired from the army, I fell into such a deep depression, but it was art that saved me

I am so glad art helped to pull you out of that depression. I wish there were more programs and benefits for retired army vets WORLDWIDE because many vets suffer from depression, anxiety, etc. Art truly is a great therapeutic practice.

It’s excellent that you give your supplies to the homeless shelters! They need alittle happiness! I give a lot of my gently used or things that I don’t use anymore to nursing homes and schools to help out for students that can’t get any supplies for art. Keep it up!

Thank you so much Marie, but like I say so much of the credit for the woman shelter has to go to my wife and youngest daughter. It was their idea. I just supplied the arts supplies but I do enjoy packing up lots of art supplies and watching my wife and daughter take them round to the Centre. I know that there are going to be some kids and women that are going to really enjoy those supplies and get a lot out of them and that makes me happy. I’m in the same exact boat. Single disabled mother of two boys. 7 and 9. We just lost their father on Mother’s Day night/ the next morning on May 9 2022. Not only grieving we’ve got to figure life out on these peanuts they give us. Especially the way the economy is, no one can survive!!! Then they took my Foodstamps when cola increased our checks by a few bucks. So maddening

Thank you so much Emma for your wonderful comment, I have not always been like this, as a soldier I seen a lot of terrible things and I seen enough human pain and suffering to last me a 100 lifetimes. As I started to get a bit better when I turned to art, I promised myself I was going to be a better person. I feel helping others less fortunate is just the right thing to do and we brought our kids up to be the same.
My wife and I are not in a good situation financially speaking, but where it matters we are doing fine and that is the health of our kids. I know, that because of you guys, everyone who watches my videos, I get more and more noticed by art companies who ask me to review their products, it is because of you guys that I am in such a privileged position and I will never ever forget that and so I give back when I can. I only wish I could give back so much more.
@@TheArtGearGuide I think that’s what makes your generosity even more special, not having a lot but still giving back. You could have sold those art supplies or even hoarded them but instead you share them with people in need to help them, the way art helped you. So even though you wish you could do more you really are doing so much already and what a wonderful lesson to teach your children. I’m so glad that you turned to art, one of the most beautiful and pure things in the world and turned your life around, kudos to you. I know what you mean about scams, I am always warning against scams on my giveaways and this is why I always explain on my giveaways that the winner will be announced on a live video, and the winner has to contact me. Hopefully that prevents scammers from taking advantage of the subscribers because I will never contact whoever the winner is. I hate scammers cause they ruin it for everyone else.

I went to one 7 mos pregnant with my third child, having left my husband who had been abusive for 7 years until I got the courage to leave, and the shelter helped me see that it was not normal to be abused the way I was. You are helping women and children during a most vulnerable time! These shelters help the mothers and the children during a physical and emotional upheaval. Thank you

I already commented, I know … but I also wanted to say this about the shelter: When I was in my 20s, I was sent to a “safe house” to escape my abuser. It made all the difference, not just changing but literally saving my life. For women who need this kind of life-saving help, shelters and safe houses are everything - and the presence of a kind, gentle man, even in the background, offers an opportunity to regain trust that sometimes can feel like it’s been lost forever. Harry, you are so kind to hang back rather than charge in, wishing to be helpful, as some might think to do … just the fact of your reputation as a good man, preceding you from the far side of a closed door can make such a difference … I’m probably making no sense, so I’ll just stop now and say thank you again, Harry, for all you do to make this a better, safer and more trustworthy world. Not only as an artist and reviewer but above all as a human being, you are truly a gift to us all, Harry. So once more, thank you.

Thank you so much for your incredible comment I really appreciate it. I have to say though, donating and giving lots of art supplies away, was again my wife’s idea. When I used to have my desk in the living room, all the art supplies I bought for review and had sent to me by companies, were all stacked at the side of my desk and under it. It really looked horrible and made the living room look terrible. So my wife said to me, you need to start giving those art supplies away once you review them, otherwise we will end up not seeing you behind all those tins lol.
So that’s partly when I came up with the idea to give back to you guys for all the amazing things you do for me. Then Vicky and Amelia discovered that unfortunately we had a women’s shelter close to us and so the rest as they say is history.

I am so lucky in that occasionally when Vicky drops bits off to the centre, they are told to pass on thanks etc to me and occasionally I get drawings or pages from a kids coloring book sent to me. I’ve never shown them on the channel because they are so personal and very private to me and them. But it is so incredibly humbling.

I know what you mean, if you subscribe to the channel, make sure you select the Bell Icon beside the subscribe icon and every time I upload a video you will get a notification. You do not have to be a subscriber to enter, I know there are a lot of people who watch the videos but don't subscribe and it's not fair they are not included. But even for the period of the giveaway, if you subscribe and after the announcement you can unsubscribe again, but at least that way you will get a notification.

Thanks for the warning about scammers … I’m so sick of scammers - they are everywhere and I get at least 3 phone calls a day which are an outright nuisance. I answered one of the calls the other day and asked for my details to be removed and she said “NO! Everyone will be contacting you!” 😮

I want to say thank you for the wonderful opportunity to enter this giveaway. You truly are one of the gems among the rough ones. St. Patrick Day is one of those days that I really love spending time with friends and family blood or no blood, it doesn't matter. I wish the best to everyone who entered.

Thank you so much for your kind and generous words. However like I say, I really can't take the credit, this was my wife and youngest daughter's idea. I am incredibly fortunate in that many companies send me their products to review and I fully appreciate the privilege position I am in. Rather than taking advantage of that, I give back to you guys and to others a little less fortunate.
Without you guys the channel just wouldn't exist and with regards to those less fortunate, I fully understand the strength of art when in a deep and dark place mentally. When I was medically retired from the British Army after having my spine shattered and crushed, after years of suffering with PTSD, Depression and chronic daily constant pain, I turned to art and when I say art and this community saved my life, I sincerely mean it.
So whilst I am in no way a Doctor or mental health professional, of which for anyone suffering with such inflictions, seeking professional help is absolutely the first place to call. Art, crafting, adult colouring books etc are all tools to use alongside professional guidance and this is one of the reasons I send as much as I can to the women's shelter. That and to send a huge metaphorical middle finger to the stains that abused and made these women and kids suffer. To show them that there are people who care about them, people who think not only are they worth being in this world, but that they make the world a better place for just being. Sorry I went off on a bit of a rant.

Your story is so inspirational. I also donate art supplies at Christmas for teens. Everyone chooses young kids for the giving tree so I always hunt for teens. I buy things throughout the year on sale. I also stock up on Strathmore various mixed media paper, pencil sets etc. and make up kits in canvas bags.
