Tarkov's combat is all about lacking info, which is really fun and intense but it also make it impossible to know 100% how you died. We'll never be able to call out cheaters for certain unless BSG adds a replay / theater mode. And even then lag and imperfections between client and servers will make it hard to tell.
Yup. Lacking info, like, let's say...knowing exactly what spawned in a container dropping randomized items, or whether you can see another player's hitbox through a wall.
@@robracer97 Right. One dude was stupid enough to expose his weapon and got wallbanged (assuming that "lvl4 timothy" really was just a random player). That means every time someone dies through walls or foliage, it could not possibly be cheats...are you seriously trying to use that argument?
I think it would be cool to get killcam recordings (like 15-30s before you got killed) after raid ends for everyone. I think I would rewatch each of my deaths. Personally I think in around 1000h of gameplay (i'm still noob) I've met maybe 2-3 cheaters.
Yeah that would be sick. As long as it's after the end of the raid, it would be perfectly acceptable to watch that footage back and learn from the experience, or even put in a justified report, unlike the feel good button we have now.
@@psychoboyjack285 He said after the raid ends for everyone. I think a killcam would be great AFTER the entire raid is over and no players are left. Games like War Thunder allow you to watch the entire match after its over and spectate everyone throughout the game, so its very easy to pick out cheaters. Obviously a killcam DURING the raid would ruin the game lol
@@psychoboyjack285 First comment by "pawlotti" says, copy pasted, "I think it would be cool to get killcam recordings (like 15-30s before you got killed) after raid ends for everyone" :P
its a testament to the appalling state of the netcode that a fairly average play can look absolutely impossible and very sus to the other guy. I have been in so many situations where I am killed in an impossible circumstance, see the guy is a TTV, go to his stream, and watch him kill me completely normally. they need to add a feature where we can see raids from other people's perspective. maybe something like csgo replay demos.
Totally agree. Usually seeing the other perspective puts me at ease, but since the game doesn't offer that, we all just have to sit and fester on the thought that you may or may not have died to a cheater. Hoping we get some tools in the future for this!
Hackers don’t give a shit about discount. They can buy accounts for cheaper than any BSG discount. Most hack sites literally sell these cheap accounts.
This is a good video and feels more on point than a lot of content about cheaters I’ve seen. I admit to being guilty of blaming cheaters for some of my deaths, the longer the wipe goes the more I blame them. But I recently started recording my raids and watching them back after I died, what I realized is that I’m just bad. Plenty of time the guy was there, I just didn’t see him or left some part exposed and paid for it. Not saying other people don’t have cheater issues, this is just my experience, but it taught me a lesson. Now I need to get better at the game.
Thanks, Josh! You have a great outlook! Sure we all run into cheaters, but looking how to improve rather than obsess on the unknown is a much healthier way to play this game.
I think many new players get the feeling that there are more cheaters as there really are is because if you play this late in the wipe you'll normally play against other new players or giga chads which play the whole wipe from start to end and know every corner if the map best. In general I have the feeling that the cheating problem is worst at the beginning of a wipe.
Have gotten kappa twice, once before level requirement and once when it was lowered to 62. This wipe I got to 44 in the first month and it definitely seems to be the worst it has been for cheating. I couldn’t do test drive on reserve without people trying to wallbang me while I traveled around the whole map or getting one tapped by PS in the middle of the night sub 3 minutes into the raid
Before I got into Tarkov a few years ago, my main game was Rainbow Six Siege, which also had a cheater issue. Watching both games get more popular and seeing the "cheaters are everywhere" accusations start to grow as the games did, it became really clear to me that perhaps the biggest problem with cheaters is this: We, as players, KNOW there are cheaters playing with us. But we never know how often, and it's very rare that we can be absolutely sure that we played against a cheater. The big problem arises when players don't feel like anything is being DONE about the cheaters. We don't know how many there are, and we don't always know exactly when they're in a lobby with us, so the best we can hope for is to know that the problem is being handled. The idea of cheaters becomes a downward spiral. Every time you die to something you can't identify, in the back of your head the though "he could have been cheating" is there. Even if you don't think he was, the thought is there, and it causes a negative feedback loop. Players think they died to cheats, the post about it, people start talking about how bad cheaters are, more people assume that deaths are to cheaters, and it continues downward. To this point, I think BSG has done a relatively poor job. I don't mean that their anticheat is bad, or that they don't care about cheaters - what I mean is that in order to combat the downward spiral of the playerbase thinking "this game is full of cheaters," they need to be overly transparent with what they're doing, as much as they can. It is good that Nikita mentions numbers on twitter occasionally, but I think it would be better if there was perhaps a more frequent update on bans from a different account besides his. However the two really huge things to helping the attitude improve are: individual feedback from reports, and match replays. Thankfully, individual feedback from reports is coming, and that is going to do a TON to help players feel better. I don't know if we'll ever actually get match replay, but that would help too. I'm glad that BSG does keep improving though, if you listen to Nikita, it is obvious that the cheater issue really bothers him. People that actually think that BSG likes cheaters should just fuck off, it's such a 2-dimensional and reductive way of seeing something that is a legitimate passion and point of pride for the developers, to think that they like cheating just because maybe the game generates slightly more money from it is asinine, nevermind that most cheaters use stolen cards anyway. Good video, glad to see you're not one of the doomsayers for whom the sky is always falling and the game is constantly in some form of dying
Totally agree. I've been part of R6 community for a long time and they've done some quality updates in the fight against them. For instance, getting back elo when you play with/against a cheater. If they could implement that monetarily in Tarkov, that would fix a lot of pain. Like if the player could get a lump sum of cash, or fresh duplicated gear if they died to a banned cheater, that would be amazing. I think the report confirmations will help on the mental side, but without compensation, it may increase frustration. I know Pestily has mentioned the idea above in a video, so hopefully Nikita is planning it.
@@AbneyDude How much is Nikita paying you to shill the game for him? I won't even get into how obviously selective your wording is, or how you conveniently jump over glaring issues the game has (and yes, that includes cheating, buddy. Remember when a sherpa, of all people, got caught cheating? Remember the cease and desist threats sent to youtuber who interviewed cheat makers or cheaters providing carry services? Never happened, right. Tarkov has no cheaters. Got head eyes'd from 500meters ten seconds after hopping into woods? You're just bad git gud.). Glad I am done with the game for good. And thank you for astroturfing so hard. Makes it obvious the game is never gonna change for the better.

@@KainRazielMTits not nikita, its the hand that feeds him. i just hoped he wouls stay silent like sny other person that has a spine instead of playing the apologist card on this horrific cheat pandemic.
My duo partner has a very close friend who works in the commercial hacking industry, who has some ties to people who sell cheats for Tarkov. I’ve been on a discord livestream with him several times where this guy had a full hacking / cheat package enabled where you can see all the players location and their details etc. also whether they too are hacking. In around a dozen raids he loaded into, every single lobby had at least 1 cheater in it. It’s that bad. If you think it’s not absolutely prolific you just don’t know. The only cheaters you see are the rage cheaters who get banned quickly, the rest are stealthing around the map looting for RMT
About dsync, when I played 1.6 cs back in the days my internet connection was so poor, I had such huge advantage over other players because they couldnt hit me and I saw them first. If I just had the footage of the one kill on Inferno I could show you exactly how insane that can be. So, always keep in mind, playing online can cause some situations look fishy while it is just coming down to bad connection at that point. Or you and your whole squad getting head eyes right at the spawn within a sec and yeah... thats a cheater :D
Thats why is the only solution is to add same system as COD have. After you die you can see how, and if its really seems sketchy , u just mark this replay as suspicious , so admins can double check it and ban. Software anticheats is not working, period
The issue is that even if you are an experienced player (over 500h) it can be really difficult to tell if the guy was hacking or not, because of the state of the game. Desync, fucking Audio issues, Lightning that makes no sense sometimes, Right hand peek & peekers advantage etc etc etc
2 cheaters in 200 hours, guy who came literally flying in my room mag dumped him and only landed 1 hit could have been desync another one guy beamed me like 6 times from black pawn while was in dome
Download a 24 hour key and take a look around you will never play this game again I promise you that lol. To say its not ruining Tarkov is just pure delusion
if you hop on e bay and type in escape from tarkov youll see there are "services" that have been and are being bought. to counter the point of losing your account and that being a risk cheaters have a risk/reward and the reward is money. $10 buck profit seem like not worth it to euro/dollar countries but there are countries where those 10 dollars mean a lot more.
One other thing we have to deal with now is with the new server select system, we are all going to start running into players we havnt dealt with before. God-damn so much 7.62 BP out there suddenly too
I have over 3000 hours on tarkov. Its not hard to tell when you die to a cheater. All the things you mentioned in here does not take away from the fact that most if not all lobbies have cheaters now, this game is so sadly infested I dont think itll ever truly recover
Do you honestly expect a paid shill to acknowledge, much less agree with your statement? For what, risking the tushonka money nikitta tosses him? Just look at the rest of his videos. His phrasing and sugarcoating speaks for itself.
it is hard to tell considering audio issues, server issues, skill issues and people jumping the gun on the cheating shit. you're probably just mad and need to take a break. I've ran into less than 10 obvious cheaters in 1700 hours so
I'm not saying there are no cheaters, there definitely are. But every lobby, seriously? This is the exact problem that this video describes, there are way too many people just blaming cheats for every death now which only creates a chain reaction of more people thinking they are getting killed by cheaters. I don't think I can point out more than 5 obvious cheaters in all my raids combined.
@@worstenbroodje6832 Yup. Every lobby mate. Truth hurts? Cope harder. Too dumb to think? That's your problem. Too blind to see? Open your eyes. You're a cheater and trying to gaslight and downplay the issue? Been tried a hundred times before and doesn't do anything. Just don't bother commenting stupid shit like this. Everyone who've ever played the game for a substantial amount of time knows you're full of shit.
True, the idea that every time you die a cheater killed you is absurd, but Tarkov definitely has a much larger cheating problem than most other shooter games. Sitting on 1k hours, not the best player, I’d actually say I’m still pretty bad, but I’ve been in this community for a couple years and I’ve seen the evidence, a couple years back there was a video showing that most labs players are using wall hack, I myself had a clip of me and my 4 man squad in factory getting “head, eyes” deaths in a split second as a dude jumped down the stair into the tunnels under the office building, we all died at the same time. Aside from cheats that affect your combat experience, there’s several cheats that affect your looter experience, those lab keycards and ledx’s will be gone before you even had the chance to open the door and loot them, and you never even knew. The hacking problem hasn’t completely ruined Tarkov, but it’s definitely a problem. Even the best players have really low survival rates in a game like this, which is really contradictory to other statistics in other games, if the top 1% of players barely scrape a 60% extraction rate at some point you gotta admit that many of those deaths were not legitimate, especially when the top 1% of players in other games are performing vastly better than average players in any statistic
2 years I’ve been playing, I’ve ran into 2 really sis deaths and reported them, other than that I figure it’s net code and just shows up on their side first mine.
I don't know what game you're playing, but so far this wipe I've run into at least 3-4+ cheaters running full rage settings on Factory alone, and I don't play factory all that much.
In Asia sever... Cheater are not this subtle xD They moving at Sonic speed and can fly or clip though the wall and the floor. invincibility? CHECK! Grenade teleportation? CHECK!!! Everything you ever want are there. I witness a battle of a god once! An aimbot cheater vs flying grenade spammer. I witness a battle of Foul chads againt a group of three cheaters. One running in circle around those chads while yelling "are you ready to die?" in Chinese accent. Another flying and blind firing just to create the mood of an up coming slaughter... And the other one went though to ground and knife those poor chad's feet... I witness a kind Indian's cheater guy that told those people in dorm to stay inside while he clip though the wall and goes againt 2 Chinese cheaters... It is fun here in Asia sever :D
You should have recorded that, sounds pretty funny! lol I can't comment on the Asian region servers, but obviously from other games it's pretty normal to cheat there. I wonder how long those "rage" cheaters last when they use very blatant cheats like that.
i have 4k hours and i agree, when i was a little noob i used to think everyone was cheating but after 4k hours i shit on kids so hard that when i look back at it , it makes me laugh that i was thinking all those kids were cheaters when in reality i was just getting CLAPPED
Yes the whining is getting on my nerves! There are ridiculous numbers thrown around, how many cheaters there are in each round. If you add up the alleged numbers, you quickly get the idea that it can not be so many, because then almost every tenth player would have to cheat. I play since several wips only solo, I was just tired of constantly listening to the whining of my teammates that they were allegedly taken by a cheater. Every dead... always allegedly a cheater. And every time it was their own stupidity. But nobody wants to hear that. That I got this alleged cheater many times afterwards and the guy played absolutely clean nobody wants to hear. And even if he fetched me then it was mostly comprehensibly clean. I have had maybe a handful of cheaters in all these years. Without exaggerating, in any other MP I see more cheaters than in EfT. Yes EfT has cheaters, but certainly not the quantities as constantly claimed. Even watching streamers, at least the Germans in my case, ridiculous! Every PMC who is not a Timmy and knows how to do it is supposedly a cheater. I wish BSG would finally build a replay function into the game, after raid end the server should save the complete replay and share it with everyone in the round. I bet 90% less messages! Then every fool can see that he was already followed 5min. However, you would then also see how crappy the EfT servers run and how sick the desync is. Maybe BSG wants to hide that.
Yeah I agree with all of that! When you take the perspective of 2 players in this game, things don't always line up how you think they played out, especially when desync is involved. But I agree, the killcam would reduce a TON of complaining, but then it would just fall into the netcode/desync complaints
This game is pretty expensive so i doubt there are that many cheaters, but still, that means the developers may give a lot more leeway when banning someone because a false positive could fuck over a player that paid a lot for the game
Hi, love your videos and I agree with your sentiment of people and their hackusations. A whole lot of the community is far too quick to call someone a cheater and it's nice to see others fighting back at the "everyone is a cheater" mentality. However, I don't think their fear of cheaters "ruining" tarkov is at all unfounded. I've been playing since the game became available to anyone that owns EOD so I've been there for a whole lot of rough patches. I have walked the lands of tarkov since long before the coming of healing animations. I've witnessed people glitching entire kitted out weapons in their secure containers, the death of hatchlings as we knew them with out of raid healing, and even the dreaded times before battleye when BSG thought they could develop their own in-house anti-cheat. Tarkov has improved in so so many ways, especially in the desync department, over the years but I've never seen a developer take so many steps to combat cheaters in ways that hurt the regular players. All the band-aid solutions they've made just continue to pile up and I feel that the hackusation community might be on to something if this keeps up. You can't even drop items from out of raid anymore. The "cheaters in every lobby" meme might not be all too exaggerated if this is BSG's best attempt to stop all the cheaters and Real Money Trading.
Your experience is different than mine. I main shoreline resort on Australian servers and I run into Chinese hackers who clip through walls and are invincible or have ESP / aimbots every single day and often multiple times per day. If you are in the US/EU you probably don’t have to deal with the Chinese hacker plague but we do
That proves you never know that idiot people will ban innocent people and got away with it the only way is to add killcam but that maybe will just take forever to develop
I feel like the problem is hugely exaggerated because of the amount of cheater accusations we see about Tarkov in videos, streams, Reddit posts or wherever else. When I first started playing this game I didn't watch any content about it and without that external influence I also rarely expected my deaths to be from cheaters even though you sometimes just die without hearing or seeing anything. That's just how this game is, sometimes you just die and you will never know how it happened, but that doesn't have to mean it was a cheater. With all this talk about cheaters I feel that I jump to that conclusion way faster now too and it kind of ruins the experience when you have this doubt in the back of your mind after every death.
I mean, Lvndmark literally marks everyone as a cheater or sees the player as "reportable". Certain people have just huge fucking ego problems (he's not the only guy). I am sure we all got reported at one point by someone (not timmy related).
@@SwissMarksman Yeah, Lvndmark is one the biggest offenders on this front. I used to really like his content but the constant cheat calls started to trigger me a bit.
Exactly man, we all fall into that mindset, and it just gets worse the more people complain. There's a fine line between complaining to get the dev to do something and just ruining the community's mindset about the game. It's just a big echo chamber at this point. My last video was so infested with cheat comments that I thought it might be bots lol.
EFT is indeed infested by cheaters, just like CSGO, Rust and many other games. Labs was, i don't know the state of the game now because i stopped playing, praticly an playable. But on the rest of the maps, cheaters were very rare.
They need to add game replays that you could watch after the raid is completed. Insurgency Sandstorm has it and it's very easy to identify cheaters when you can watch the game from their prespective.
Yesterday on shoreline 2 times played , 2 times killed by a hacker, worst thing was it eas same dude 2 times and he kinda sucked but still his aimbot got us all.
Definitely think this wipe has been the most rough when it comes to cheaters and unfair bans. I've had days where 3-4 consecutive raids I'm getting killed by knowers trying to wall me when I've been hiding in interchange eating food irl or the inf ghost nades. And I've had 5 of my buddies banned 3 of them being the worst tarkov players I've seen while the other 2 were just good at the game
So its a little unencouraging when the majority of my tarkov buddies can't play since hardware banned and they need to get a new pc since the spoofers they use don't seem to work. While I know other buddies who consistently cheat and still don't get banned. Appealing to BSG and BE don't seem to work neither for unbans
After 2k hours and getting banned while wiring my concerns on Discord and Twitch streams.. Iam tired and iam probably going to look for another game. BSG is only focusing on Marketing to milk money on game full of problems.
@@AbneyDude incoming just so fucking expensive brother, bank of mum doth provide, dude no gameing since June. May aswell reset all my hour's!! What am I saying boys are going to get fucked up without impunity. Believe me.
>every game has cheating problems yes but not every game has a literal market for it. tons of people make money off selling RTM'd items with cheating accounts. ESP users don't necesarily need to wallbang you and according to other ESP users who share their experience, there's a ton of players who use these. maybe its not so bad to the degree some make it sound, but saying that its a non-issue is utter bs
If you pay you have cheat, that's simple. Is there a lot of cheater on EFT ? No more than on COD Warzone. Is there not a lot of cheater ? Hum it is the same as say "it is hard to say if someone is cheating" But yes when you meet one it's not the same. Bring new and backers on the game bring cheaters because we know it, some people cheat and rent their accompaniment for money, go there search here, wait here, 30$ please. So it is business to cheat to sell his "together game".
from my experience 1out of 15 raids i would see another cheater based on movement and KD in the raids. Cheating isn't a huge problem most people try it out, but bc of money they stop or they find a successful carry service to fund it. Its not infested like people think but yes you will run into a cheater 100% at some point. Unlike some games tarkov cheaters can make money from selling services
Boys just crying too much, forgetting about all the network stuff, sound, etc. I barely find myself in situations that i‘m sure i‘ve been cheated on. Mostly it‘s rly obvious tough. In every other case im not sure what happened, i just hit that report button and im done. Thats it. I dont give a fck, cuz its Tarkov. So for me theres no cheater problem on EU servers that i play on.🤷🏼♂️
For real, BSG and BattleEye really did try their best to keep the game clean, and even Nikita said on stream that they could stop every hacker, but then their cheats just outrun the anti-cheats at some moment, and the loophole just kept going on for the whole life span of that game. You can't completely stop every cheater in the world in every game that existed. Still, you can help legit players have a better playground by stop complaining "cheaters are everywhere" on every official post/media from Game Developers. Just cheer them, don't make their game look worse. Just before calling them a cheater, give it a second to justify how you could died there and put yourself into the opponent's shoes to understand why he's better or pure luck.
there are two types of cheating apologists, one is the defeatist, as the one above claiming everything has been tried, nothing can or will ever be done because its futile and then there are those that gaslight, like abney dude. they sprinkle a little truth into a lot of personal opinion that is nowhere near based on any reasonable statistics or facts. an attempt to save the hand that feeds them because they rely on it as their paycheck. and then there is those
Also bro, if you look up videos about the cheating problem on tarkov CZcams will start serving you ads for cheats on tarkov. So your whole argument is kind of bunk dude. Sure netcode is bad - and there's some very technical reviews about the delays in what you see vs. Player too. Which should be fixed. But cheating is absolutely rampant in tarkov. Especially when they're brave enough to buy advertising space on CZcams. Which isn't cheap, I worked in advertising so I'd know.
The I think that guy was cheating due random head eyes are gone…. The cheats are so absurd in this game it’s more oh look that guys phasing through walls and flying are here Bsg can release a new map every wipe but without some serious work against the guys who got bullied at school and no one likes (cheaters) then the the player base will disappear a month or 2 after wipe and it’ll flop on version 1, getting cheated on in Tarkov just hurts more than any other game it has to be invasive anti cheat
'Play the game and enjoy it" I can really dig that. From my experience, maybe 0'1 percent of deaths are sketchy. And this is my 5th wipe, and I die a lot. A.LOT. But Abney, dude, the same day the admin ban on reddit was posted, there was also 2 different posts about flying unkillable PMC's. Is that also experience? Maybe a quest reward from Prapor? I doubt I was ever killed by a cheater, and even if I was, it hardly matters since when some top level player kills me, it feels the same [although in this case is fair], but Im not sure downplaying the existence of cheaters its the best for the future of the game, or its fanbase.
Definitely not downplaying their existence, but many people call cheats for normal deaths, white names ($45 version of the game), TTV in the name, etc. This community goes a bit overboard on the haccusations because there isn't a way to confirm cheats or not, so everything just leans towards them. I just want people to realize a lot of the commenters out there might be inexperienced or not know what they're talking about. I trust BSG is doing their best, and that's really all we can hope for.
@@AbneyDude I agree on a lot of people crying wolf, yeah. Some reports on r/escapefromtarkov are absurd, and your example in the intro is very clarifying. Another good point you make is that we have to "trust" bsg is doing a good job with the anticheat, because of its trademark lack of transparency. I sheldom comment any vids, and this was defenetly a good one, made me interact. Sugestion for a new vid: are all the changes BSG is doing to avoid rmt [not dropping certain items, unable to select servers..] good for the user? I dont feel like a 15 year old kid that needs to pay real money to have a scar and a lvl 6 armor is a threat to me, and some changes do mor harm than good, are detrimental or just plain dumb [see: last update]. Anyway, thanks for your analysis, your answer and keep up the good work.
abney man. come on. up until this video i thought ure amazing. but even the question, being phrased as if thats not something inherent of tarkov, as if it really even needs to be asked. ofc they do. i know more than 8 people just out of my own personal circle who quit tarkov because of the cheat infestation. its painfully obvious that tarkov has some of the most cheaters that simultaneously also do the most harm because of the nature of the game itself.
Are there cheaters? Yes; Are they common? not really; i agree i think most people dont cheat or if they do cheat they stream snipe streamers so it feels like there are mosre cheaters than there are really. I get it people rage and blow things out of porportions but i really dont think people are cheating as much as advertised. Its like the "smurfing" problem in valorant are there Smurfs? yes; but i dont think there are as many you think. And in valorants case if they are smurfing and you are trying to climb rank eventually you will play against a lot of better people. I think people look for excuses and its so easy to blame the unknown or other things. but like you said desync is a issue but htere are so much more; positioning and timing are also super huge. but at the end of the day the game and our mentals are what we make of it; if your getting burnt out take a break. The point of these games is to have fun and if your not made its time for a change. also PS you be lookin real cute there cutie :)
Most of the cheaters use the cheats for profit and for kills. The game IS infested with cheaters, just not the kind this video is about. Obvious cheats are rarely seen.
To be perfectly honest it's you content creators and sweats who dominate entire lobbies that's killing the game for everyone. I'm not hating, the solution is more players not less monsters
This video really didn't age well with the recent g0at video. It doesn't come down to if you can tell if its a cheater, it really comes down to the tools and security methods on how to prevent cheating. The fact that cheaters are being told to uninstall Valorant because vanguard picks up on the EFT cheats is a clear sign that more needs to be done to stop the cheating. If the feeling of each death starts to make you think that a cheater killed you, then something is wrong. You could be a simple sniper in tarkov and spot enemy PMC's or you could have cheats to see the full lobby. THIS IS an issue. The Game (EFT) just makes this far more complex. Ban waves do nothing but bring more money into BSG's hands because it just leads to them buying another account. You need to attack the cheats with better methods not just ban waves. Cheaters will cheat if they think they can get away with it. We're at the point where, Yeah, They know they can get away with it. As long as its not spin botting or fly hacking. Bans for high KDA won't fix this, they just bot their PMC's into raids to die and lower their KDA.
I guarantee that everyone who claims the game is full of cheaters has genuinely come across less than 10 in in the entire time they've ever played. I've been playing for maybe 2-3 years now, and it's possible I've come across cheaters without realizing it, but the amount of times I can say I DEFINITELY KNOW they were cheating (which, I could be entirely wrong) is maybe 5 times at most.

Don’t argue with people smarter than you. Didn’t end well for you this time, probably won’t next time. But yeah, continue taking your probably 5 months of Tarkov experience and claiming every other person who kills you is a cheater vibe and find a different game to play. Tarkov ain’t it for you.
Tarkov's combat is all about lacking info, which is really fun and intense but it also make it impossible to know 100% how you died.
We'll never be able to call out cheaters for certain unless BSG adds a replay / theater mode. And even then lag and imperfections between client and servers will make it hard to tell.
Exactly, Rob!
Yup. Lacking info, like, let's say...knowing exactly what spawned in a container dropping randomized items, or whether you can see another player's hitbox through a wall.
@@KainRazielMT this video literally disproves the hitbox through a wall accusation in the first 30 seconds
@@robracer97 Right. One dude was stupid enough to expose his weapon and got wallbanged (assuming that "lvl4 timothy" really was just a random player). That means every time someone dies through walls or foliage, it could not possibly be cheats...are you seriously trying to use that argument?
well i know a friend that does cheat and he can see your lv, your k/d, and your gear and he said on most maps there was a person with a k/d of 40-60
I think it would be cool to get killcam recordings (like 15-30s before you got killed) after raid ends for everyone. I think I would rewatch each of my deaths. Personally I think in around 1000h of gameplay (i'm still noob) I've met maybe 2-3 cheaters.
@@psychoboyjack285 why killkam would destroy the game? I think it would be actually good as learning experience :D
Yeah that would be sick. As long as it's after the end of the raid, it would be perfectly acceptable to watch that footage back and learn from the experience, or even put in a justified report, unlike the feel good button we have now.
Kill cam should be there after the raid ends for everyone
Has been really bad since discount started
In general I have the feeling that the cheating problem is worst at the beginning of a wipe.
false. new players are less likely to feel they have been cheated on.
Watching both games get more popular and seeing the "cheaters are everywhere" accusations start to grow as the games did, it became really clear to me that perhaps the biggest problem with cheaters is this:
We, as players, KNOW there are cheaters playing with us.
“Second guess the stuff you see online”. Advice of the Century.
Thats why is the only solution is to add same system as COD have. After you die you can see how, and if its really seems sketchy , u just mark this replay as suspicious , so admins can double check it and ban. Software anticheats is not working, period
Im so glad I got tarkoved so hard on my second ever wipe that I took an indefinite break so I avoided the cheater epidemic.
The issue is that even if you are an experienced player (over 500h) it can be really difficult to tell if the guy was hacking or not, because of the state of the game. Desync, fucking Audio issues, Lightning that makes no sense sometimes, Right hand peek & peekers advantage etc etc etc
@@psychoboyjack285 I am not talking about that. I mean those are obvious.
For real. Guy I play with sometimes calls cheater to nearly every single fucking death and it makes me not enjoy playing with him

if you hop on e bay and type in escape from tarkov youll see there are "services" that have been and are being bought.
to counter the point of losing your account and that being a risk cheaters have a risk/reward and the reward is money. $10 buck profit seem like not worth it to euro/dollar countries but there are countries where those 10 dollars mean a lot more.
Lol this is so true been happening for 7 years but the time of social media can cancel even a game .

I don't think I can point out more than 5 obvious cheaters in all my raids combined.
yeah youre just fucking terrible at the game
@@worstenbroodje6832 Yup. Every lobby mate. Truth hurts? Cope harder. Too dumb to think? That's your problem. Too blind to see? Open your eyes.

Dsync or cheaters, losing 40 minutes and a kit for either makes the experience piss.
You're not wrong there
This game is pretty expensive so i doubt there are that many cheaters, but still, that means the developers may give a lot more leeway when banning someone because a false positive could fuck over a player that paid a lot for the game
Numbers are publics and tarkov have less cheaters compare AT others FPS games in %users
desync really makes it seem like you got killed by a cheater. When in reality is just tark bein tark XD.
If you are in the US/EU you probably don’t have to deal with the Chinese hacker plague but we do
No they aren't aimbotting or noclipping through walls, it's just desync bro
if cheaters does'nt exist why we got a package of perma bans last week?
that underbarrel grenade launcher comment had me laughing pretty hard xd
Couldn't believe what I was reading the first time
So they ban accounts based on kd and stats? Pretty sure high skill players get wrongfully banned quite often too
That proves you never know that idiot people will ban innocent people and got away with it the only way is to add killcam but that maybe will just take forever to develop
i have 6k hrs in tarkov over last 5yrs i think sometimes you can tell but no not all the time you can tell if your been lagged or just out played
70-80% players have cheats( I use them myself so It shows). That is why I left tarkov

Short answer is yes, they are ruining the game.
Well this aged poorly.
That intro was pure gold ✨️ 👌
from my experience 1out of 15 raids i would see another cheater based on movement and KD in the raids. Cheating isn't a huge problem most people try it out, but bc of money they stop or they find a successful carry service to fund it. Its not infested like people think but yes you will run into a cheater 100% at some point. Unlike some games tarkov cheaters can make money from selling services
Cheaters? maybe... if you're gonna get mad at the game though, frame drops are waay worse.

The people crying cheats are more annoying than the actual cheaters.
Totally agree! Also, thank you, Namaka! haha
Most of the cheaters use the cheats for profit and for kills. The game IS infested with cheaters, just not the kind this video is about. Obvious cheats are rarely seen.
To be perfectly honest it's you content creators and sweats who dominate entire lobbies that's killing the game for everyone. I'm not hating, the solution is more players not less monsters
yooo first time Abney's face, dudes handsome
haha thanks bro, it's been awhile since I've done the face shot lol

Truly
@@psychoboyjack285 Please show me exactly where I said there's literally 0 cheaters at all in the game.
I promise you, you have no idea what you're talking about.
@@psychoboyjack285 You absolutely implied that I said there was 0 cheaters. A "cheater problem" means that there's just an overwhelming number and it's killing the game. That's not the case.
EVERY online game has cheaters. That's just a fact. Tarkov is no different. The only difference being people like you blow it way out of proportion.
@@psychoboyjack285 this is what happens when people with sub 70 IQ try to argue.
“Cheater problem”, again, heavily implies a large amount of cheaters than ruin the experience for a lot of people. And, again, that’s simply not the case.
And yes, there are PLENTY of other games where you lose time, gear or resources to these cheaters. You flat out said that doesn’t happen, but I’m the dishonest one? Lol.
Go to bed, child. You have school in the morning.
@@psychoboyjack285 lmao, you’re genuinely just dumb as hell.
I’d almost guarantee a huge chunk of the people band are the same people, over and over. That’s why RMT businesses exist.
They simply buy new accounts, rinse, repeat.
If that many individuals cheated, and it was different people every single time, there would be nobody left to play the game.
Don’t argue with people smarter than you. Didn’t end well for you this time, probably won’t next time.
But yeah, continue taking your probably 5 months of Tarkov experience and claiming every other person who kills you is a cheater vibe and find a different game to play. Tarkov ain’t it for you.
excellent video about the topic. Great share for players quick on the hack-ccusations.

haha Thanks Don! I had to do it to him lol
Oof this didn't age well with g0ats vid. Turns out more then every second raid there is one.
