I think it's hilarious that Sing King posted a karaoke version of this song, because if you get up on stage at karaoke night and do an eight minute and forty two second long song, every eye in the place is gonna roll.
I did this song a couple of times and the versions they play in the clubs are edited and cut down.
Translation: On the rare occasion somebody picks this song, I'm going to be the asshole who rolls his eyes and complains the whole time instead of just dancing and having fun. I'm also narcissistic enough to assume that's how everyone around me will react as well.
Actually, if you do it well, crowds love a 9 minute November Rain (GnR).

tbh this is the first ever song i memorized and sang (i was like 7) and i sang it for karaoke, never in my life did i receive THAT many compliments (mostly from older folks). But, ig looking back i would also be super impressed if a 7 year old got up and sang a 9 minute song basically from memory

@3:37... I think the name should be "Lenin" not Lennon. Don McLean referred Vladimir Lenin - founder of Communist Russia, and Karl Marx is the book authors of The Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital in which Lenin became inspired of the book and started implementing Communism in Russia.
That's interesting what you _think_ it should be, but it's actually not. Official lyrics are Lennon, and it's a reference more than a historical lesson.

I love Madonna's version from 2000😍
I actually can’t stand that version. And that was actually the first one I’d ever heard. I was a kid when that version came out. To me, I think it is a musical atrocity compared to Don McLean. Of course, I’m not a Madonna fan anyway. I also don’t like how she condensed the song down so much. But I guess some people love it, and that’s cool. To me, you can’t beat the original though.
