  • This is the first video in a series showing you how to create the Lancer weapon from Gears of War.
    The entire build is made using EVA foam floor mats (minus a few small details that I added later on) and this video series will walk you through the entire process so you can create your own awesome cosplay prop!
    Part 1 covers the template, cutting out the body shape and putting it together.

    great instructions, very indepth, will start my build soon based on your videos..! keep em comming.!
    although i would like to ask what is the thickness of the foam you have used, looks like more than a 6mm but less than a 1/2 inch thickness, and also i noticed you used same thickness for all you details also.

      Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. The foam I used for this build was 1/2 inch and I used it for the entire build though you can use other thickness and save yourself from having to slice some pieces thinner (my intent was to use a single thickness for the sake of simplicity).
