Lovely to be there again, i used to visit friends years ago. Thank you.
Hi Elisabeth thank you. Do you think it's changed a lot?
@@IcelandHotSpots No not much, Eden has gone but the streets are tree lined and open, still a lovely place to be.
Really enjoyed the tour with you dear friend
Thank you so much 🙂
Fascinating little town and surrounding area --sunny & warmly dreamlike even in early April..!
Many of these walking tours of small, out-of-the-way Icelandic towns can evoke magical feelings similar to some of Edgar Allen Poe's short stories of [what Poe described as] "finding unique/beautiful/unknown locales and dwelling places via solitary hikes" ....Viz: in a few of Poe's lesser-known, non-morbid writings.. .. e.g., .' Landor's Cottage' -- or 'A Tale of the Ragged Mountains.'
I think it's a form of High Art that you're able to create such beautifully-visual 'story-tellings' in this new-fanagled, high-tech medium of Videography -- especially when you follow your muse into more remote, coutryside areas like Hveragerdi.
FWIW: the Finnish composer, Jean Sibelius, was also able to create some similarly-transcendental emotions via various of his musical depictions of the mysterious Finnish countryside -- the best of which, arguably, is his orchestral tone poem, 'The Swan of Tuonela.'
Please do keep-up your very unique creative work.

Hi Alex, very interesting thank you. Long before I started making the videos I have always enjoyed walking and exploring new places, some waderlust. It's amazing what you can discover in the most unassuming places and you get into a sense of flow. Really. Thank you for the high praise, I don't know Jean Sibelius but I should explore his work.

Wonderful relaxing video 🙂

Crazy. I lived there over 10 years ago, place hasn't changed too much since then. It's amazing to see the place in such detail! Thank you for sharing
Awesome. Maybe the most noticable change is the absence of Eden. You would go there for ice-cream and the arcade. And plants I guess.
@@IcelandHotSpots I remember that place, used to play table hockey in there sometimes! Also noticed that the store "Tian" is gone? Used to be in there regularly to buy hamburgers lol
Me encanta Islandia ❤️❤️ espero conocerla pronto, un saludo desde España.
I wonder if you could set up a live cam on the busiest street in Reykjavik??...it would be the coolest thing!!
It's a cool idea
I want my own greenhouse 😌
Feels like a ghost town there though
Me too! My plan is to build one in my garden in a few years. But yes, not many people around this early.
@@IcelandHotSpots what time was it? It seems like noon 😅 Show us your garden next time
It was around 10am. My garden? Haha that would such a short tour. Maybe one day 😉
Cool views!
