Iceland, which volcano will be the next to wake up?

  • The history of life on Earth and that of fire are intimately linked: volcanism is at the origin of the formation of the first organic molecules and the appearance of life on Earth.
In 2010, the eruption of the Icelandic volcano Eyafjallajokull caused widespread economic disorder by paralyzing one of the densest air systems in the world for several days.
Through spectacular aerial images, this film tries to understand what may be the next volcano to wake up and what may be the consequences of a major eruption. The world has come to realize that under Iceland lies a colossal power, the Icelanders, they have learned to live in the middle of their volcanoes for centuries.
Directors : Bertrand LOYER, Jacques BEDEL and François de RIBEROLLES

I sure love your morning videos. I was wondering about the blankets. I have horses in Arizona. We provide light blankets because of the sun burning their backs. No stalls just canopies for them t go under for shade. We also feed with oats & hay, do you feed them oats? I love watching your farms, I'm a

God bless all of us and safe the humans from danger of volcanic eruption because the scientists can only take information about it and couldn't stop it however the prior knowledge about eruption can safe many life . Best wishes from Pakistan 🇵🇰 ❤

This is a beautifully made documentary, very informative and interesting. I just miss something very important in a documentary: the names and profession of those who talk (are they farmers, scientists, politicians, etc.?) Their name is important too, not just what they say. Some of them are experts and it is important to know WHO these experts are and what they think. It will be great also to see written the name of the volcanos. I have used the subtitles, but they are autogenerated so many words are not well written. Please, if you can edit the music, you can put this information on the screen, it has always been done in reports and news because it is crucial to give a complete information. Information can be entertaining, documentaries can be beautiful, but do not forget that the mission of reporting is by far more important than just entertain and beauty.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised if Katla was the next volcano to erupt in Iceland. It’s linked under the ice to Hekla & Eyjafjalajoull. Let’s hope the 3 of them don’t decide to blow their tops at the one time!

@@santaclaws1501Yet the planet has had ice ages... there were volcanos then too.
Us human are a speck on the surface.
      The planet heats and cools.
      We have literally no effect
Look at what the planet has been through over billions of years....
You think 150 years of us burning fuel changed it? 😂

@thisismyspout yes I do. We are not a speck. We have levelled countless forests, we have the caused the extinctions of thousands of species, we have billions of people, we have spread plastic to every ecosystem on the planet, and we mine entire mountainsides. The earth has had changes that occured over thousands and millions of years. The only events that cause changes as fast as we are experiencing are catastrophic ones. Humans are not a fucking speck. We have had a huge impact on this planet.

The bigger danger to humanity comes from WEF and its cronies or greedy corporations that we still somehow tolerate. Can not do anything about the nature and its forces but we certainly can about this human made menace. So if we are so concerned why don't we?
