ABOUT ALL IN THE FAMILY: One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.
ABOUT THE JEFFERSONS: His cleaning business booming, scrappy George Jefferson decides it's time to move on up to the deluxe apartments on New York's posh east side. Thinking that this is the beginning of the "easy life," George is ill-prepared for the unexpected pitfalls his new address will bring him.

The shorts are kind of dumb it helps people take things out of context why not put the original episodes without any commercials up so people can enjoy this project in its entirety
Yes I would like to very much thanks 👍
I would love to see more of All in the family
The Bunkers and The Jeffersons. Best two couples on TV, ever.
The four of them tgthr were comedy gold.
That was a beautiful 'so long" between Edith and Louise. Everytime you get the chance to say I love you. Do it. It means the world to the person hearing it.
Good point, Lloyd!
it's hard. it's really, really hard to do sometimes.
👍
Sometimes just saying the words, is the miracle you need. Sometimes even when someone isn't being lovable, or is having problems, they need to hear it most. My parents always said it to us, and freely. It made us able to feel it, and also say it freely to the other ones we love. It made us all closer, and now that they are both gone, I can still hear them saying the words, and the hug that it brings! @@hypnos9336
The best year's of my life, growing up with this genius programs on television. The 70s were absolutely great year's.
I love these two. George is the best. He's such a smart ass. I love it.
They played off of each other perfectly
Archie Bunker and George Jeffersons were two wonderful and great characters. Despite their views and personalities they were still good hearted people and their actors brought true humanity in their characters.
👏👏 well said!
@@Lolo7353zzz Yup, neither one was ever truly mean or hateful, you could sense their goodness even through their ignorance of each other’s cultures. I suppose it was that give and take type of bigotry between Archie and George that made it funny, thought provoking and even somewhat acceptable. George was never a victim of Archie, he gave it right back. In reality they were mirror images of each other.
@@tommyk6719 except George had money and ambition.
They were both bigots, if that's goodhearted then you need to think about what's good.
But they evolved. You have to give people that chance! In many episodes, the Jefferson's came over for Archie's Birthday, the Mortgage Burning Party, etc. They kind of became friends. Maybe not close friends, but they were neighbors and sometimes neighborly, to support their wives close friendship, and I think they begrudgingly accepted each other. @@TheSeeker1960
Miss the good old days.
More of it
The scene with Edith and Louise saying goodbye still makes me tear up every time I see it.
❤️
Same 🥺
That was beautiful. Beautiful.
Yep
That's real love. You don't get many friendships like that in your life.
Loved both shows.
These were more like LIVE plays than TV episodes, simply SPECTACULAR performances all around. The audience's reaction alone, what a treat it must have been!
That show was priceless! TV shows have declined so badly.
Laughter. Never gets old with these sitcoms here.
What a great show....way ahead of its time....they do not make shows like this anymore....SADLY!!
You cannot make shows like this anymore. You would be sued and riots on the streets.
R.I.P. Carroll ‘O Connor Mike Evans Isabel Sanford and Sherman Hemsley
& Mike Evans, Jean Stapleton..Majority of the Cast are longer with Us.
I didn't know Mike Evans passed (Lionel ) ?

all these funny moments from the Jefferson's and Archie bunker all in the family !!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Archie and Henry Jefferson giving the raspberries to each other was outright hilarious.
We laughed about our differences. I love both shows.
When Archie heard George Jefferson was from 125th St. in Harlem...he looked outside, and said, "....I don't see no poiple Cadillac out 'dare." Totally 70's
Heh, if the younger generation saw this on TV today they would go bananas, scream, cry, etc lol.
Hilarious and funny life was so much simpler when we weren't so damn up tight..
In other words, when Blacks knew their place, amirite?
@@thesuburbanelectric Well, they didn't in either of these groundbreaking shows.
Black people were just scared
@@thesuburbanelectric , ignorant comment
Simple times? Are you serious? The Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964, anti-interracial marriage laws were struck down in the late 1960s. Black people were just STARTING to get rights in the 1970s and be equals. Just starting. I know people like to say Archie Bunker was a bigot with a heart of gold, but Bunker was still a closed-minded entitled bigot, and George Jefferson had reactionary bigotry to the white bigotry he grew up with from people like Archie Bunker.
Edith and Louise's friendship was always so heartwarming, while Archie and George's rivalry was always so hilarious. The modern world could learn so much from both these awesome shows.
Absolutely loved these sitcoms. Both of them "ALL in the Family" and "The Jeffersons".
And Sanford and Son. Lol
3:13, LOL!!! We need a show like this on today in 2021. No cancel culture, people laughing and having a good time.
Louise & Edith were sisters from a different mother!!❤️
Two of THE BEST shows in television history. no matter which one you were watching they were full love and made you laugh non stop and touched the hearts of every living soul god bless all these actors for giving us the joy & laughter of a life time.
George and Archie super matchup that's great TV....
Carol o'connor was so funny!
*I still remember the scene when Edith says “So long” to Louise. I still get choked up.* 😢
*Norman Lear is an American treasure.*
I wish they could have made Fred Sanford meets George Jefferson now that would have been a good one
I always wanted to see the two together on screen
@@Koolazzmike I did too it would have been crazy to see them rib each other out
That would've been something, for sure, but I'd much rather have seen Fred Sanford and Archie Bunker lock horns. A laugh a minute!
Yes, it would have been
Yes
Louise Jefferson had a special bond with Edith Bunker and Helen Willis her closest friends throughout the series
classic shows !!!!😂😂😂😂😂
All funny, and that was a touching tender moment between Edith and Louise saying goodbye I remember that .
These shows never get old 😂😂😂👍🏾💯
Well I totally forgot all about All in the family nice to see these old sitcoms
I love these families back when everyone wasn't so uptight.
That scene was the most tearful scene
Who's someone
Episodes of All in the Family like these brilliantly addressed race relations between white and black people, and the ubiquitous racism, bigotry, and prejudice that most human beings have the potential to exhibit.
Archie blowing a Raspberry at Edith was Gold
miss those days every day
TV sucks today to bad we cant go back to these days when tv was good
Peter and Lois Griffin were loosely inspired by Archie and Edith Bunker.
These shows were magnificent at demonstrating how The Jeffersons and the bunkers aren't that difference they're actually quite the same and that's what troubles them more than being different
7:24 is what made Edith Bunker the best human being in TV history.
idk @coastersbolts but in the episode of her when she's going though the change her running around, yelling is so funny
Love these shows
I wish Henry could have guested on The Jeffersons. The actor did appear once, but a cameo as salesman or something like that.
A time in American TV history where humor didn’t have a stick up it’s a$$. The show let people know that violence and words were not synonymous, and that we all have similarities & can thrive despite our differences with patience & time.
The reason why this is so much better is because the writers focused on the characters/traits and through their issues, and resolutions, messages can be taken, instead of non stop forceful messaging of everything wrong.
These 2 were the hilarious side of the same coin; Archie & George.
“George, that formal invitation you sent by your wife I think was very whity”🤣🤣🤣
White of you.
I ALWAYS LOVED George!!!
How come the Bunkers didn't visit the Jeffersons in Manhattan? That would've been a great episode, if the show was The Jeffersons or All In The Family.
Simpler times. Young people need to watch this today.
7:22 one of the outstanding lines in the entire series, delivered by a tremendous actress. What a way to make a statement about race relations.
Black and White raspberries !!! Too funny!!!
Even after years I still love watching these four magnificent actors playing these roles. What great joy, and now I just remembered they are all gone...🙂😔
Beautiful show.
Looking back it was really amazing that Norman Lear had the courage to make George Jefferson such a flawed man. He was one of the first black, male characters to be the center of a TV show yes instead of making him a purely exemplary role model Lear made him egotistical, greedy, volatile. Really one of the great characters in television.
Norman Lear was quite the genius and his actors were passionate and brilliant for sure!! 👀
George wasn't only 1 floor, so with Archie
I loved the Jeffersons like they were family members practically!
My God i miss great tv thank you for posting these great memories
Jean Stapleton and Isabelle Sanford together -- was there ever a sweeter moment in the history of television?
Isabel Sanford
@suzettebennett9112 Get a life.
So much love for these shows and all of these great actors/actresses!❤❤
George had a excellent overture dealing with Archie
They should of had the bunkers show up on the Jeffersons
What a missed opportunity.
The funniest scene when Archie and Henry Jefferson blew raspberries
Classic.
The way George cuts his eyes at Archie LoL
BEST TV show, ever!
My grandparents were well and happy, my dad was acting like a baby infont off his mom , my mom was jelous calling him a mamas boy while we watched all in the family reruns . Now they are all gone except for my mother. Life was much greater back then.
The scene with Louise and Edith makes me feel like I need to cherish every moment with people that I interact with 😢😢😢
What a great show,
I loved George Jefferson so much & classy strong Louise reminded me of my Grandmother!
How they shot that scene without being absolutely disgusted or freaking out? Spitting all in each other's faces and mouths.
50 years ago... nobody worried about germs like these weak minded morons now.
@@firstnamelastname6171 Weak minded morons? So you're okay with another man's spit going in your mouth? That's gross in any era.
@@MrWolfchamp-xi3cu True!
This was and STILL AWESOME, BRILLIANT, AMAZING.
Good shows.
Jesus loves everyone
Ooh, that bit at the end about the lady that was a maid thinking Louise and George were servers, oh my. And there went Louise's new friend. Damn. Everybody starts from somewhere. Only a very few are born with the silver spoon in their mouths.
I LOVE THIS!!! 👍🤣

😂 LOL! How did Norman Lear get away with it!!!
7:37 deny me if at this precise moment you do not have a tear on your face
I admit it, that was a tear jerking moment 😢
Could you imagine, Richard Pryor playing goerge Jefferson 😂
NO!!
Thk yu for closed caption
One of the best crossovers
The good old days when everyone had thick skin.
No they didn't
I actually think the jokes weren't quite so mean back then. They were all good-hearted jabs and observational humor. The ability to laugh at oneself is crucial for comedy that invites everyone to the party.
Amen!

Things are very different today. Thanks for your help
Fantastic tv show😂😂
7:27 hit me right in the feels
These were the days! People could really laugh. They didn't wear their feelings on their sleeve. There is no way you could have shows on tv today. Check out Fred Sanford saying the N word in court.
Do y’all get that they did shows like this to be subversive and counter culture. Not that it was funny. Not that people had thicker skins and saying the n word as you put it was ok. It wasn’t. Comedians write and joke from an angle to show society itself. They wrote these shows and jokes because comedians make the unfunny and horrible funny. They make it funny to tell us uncomfortable truths about ourselves and most of you feel like “oh those were the good ole days when we could be completely racist and effed up and how nice it would be to say ugly stuff to each other’s face”. It’s like the point of these shows went straight over most of your heads.
The world should be like louise & edith & learn how 2 get alone.unfortunately that hasn't happen yet.
May they all Rip
The Louise Edith farwell. 💔
