George & Florence verbal arguments were a higher class version of Fred G. Sanford & Aunt Esther. 😄
That's a great point!!! I think Martin and Pam were more of an urban, hip hop version
I never thought of that, but that is a great point, thank you.
@@oneilmackey1155 And Al Bundy and Marcy Darcy were the white versions LOL! I think all three were influenced heavily by Fred and Esther tbh.
@@kendallrivers1119 LOL 🤣👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
@@oneilmackey1155 that’s a good comparison 🎯🎯🎯
George loved having Florence around, he loved himself a good verbal exchange and she was his sparring partner.
Yup
Absolutely
Oh yeah.
OH 😳😯😅❤😂🎉😊 YES!!💐🌹💐🌹💐🌹💐🌹
Marla Gibbs ALWAYS Credits Sherman Hemsley for her Career and how he gave her so many opportunities in their Performances on the Jeffersons 😂😂😂😂
"did ya get to talk to the devil?" lmfao!😆😂
Still better than pretty much anything on TV today!!!
facts
Sanford , Jefferson's, All in the family, Good times don't make them like this anymore everybody is to politically correct if you say the wrong thing you get canceled talk about a group you get canceled
@@noirwolf9720 Exactly
@Energetic Coach Exactly lol
👍👍👍👍
Florence just stays ROASTING!!😂😂😂😂
The irony is that George was the one who INSISTED on hiring Florence. Louise didn't even want a maid.. So in the long run George created his OWN chaos...😏
George wanted a maid and hired her but by the third season he wanted Florence replaced. Louise wanted to keep her
Among the best episodes of the was Louise vs Florence though...it was the copper smelting one.
😂😂😂 True 💯
George loved having Florence around, he loved himself a good verbal exchange and she was his sparring partner.
They may fight but they have each other’s back when it counts!
True
BUT THIS IS unbelievable, u would never see any maid this rude EVER
@@SFBenjaminK it's called a TV SHOW! It ain't real life so what are you talking about? Lol.
The Jeffersons are so funny and classical.
RIP, Isobel Stanford and Sherman Hemsley.
Florence has the hottest clap back.. George got his match😂😂😂😂
Some of my favorite Florence comebacks were when George would tell her to get the door. For example- George: There's the door, Florence. Florence: It sho is!
George: Florence, why don't you get the door?
Florence: Cause I ain't expectin nobody!
Lol!
“Direct from the factory” 🤣🤣🤣
Rest in powerful peace Sherman Hemsley 🙏

I love how Louise was hiding her laughter when that guy was laughing his crazy laugh.
Oh yes, so did I 😂
Lol I see it too 😂😂
Yeah that was the best part. She does that a lot in some of the exchanges between Marla Gibbs and Sherman Helmsley. So funny
Good old days of great 📺
Mrs Jefferson was so gracious. She could diffuse any situation.
40 years on and still makes me laugh.
They don't do shows like those anymore
Florence could always hold her own against George! I cracked up through this whole clip!
she could handle Fred Sanford and Aunt Esther could handle George Jefferson

Yes indeed.
Sooooo funny, maid got some guts offending the boss that pays her 🤣🤣🤣
Some people (bosses included, not to mention wise guys & flippant idiots) need to be told off & put in their places. Hint-Hint🤔😵🙀
@@davidbetsey2437 Aaaaaaaaaamen! Need a good kick in the teeth with a verbal beatdown!
Some bosses love people like that sorry to disappoint you
A big part of the show was based on that based on the fact that Georg gave everybody that energy you must not be familiar with the show, obviously..
Love Florence and George in the same scenes. Never a dull moment.
Remember when comedy was actually funny and not filthy? Love this era of tv!
The entire cast was brilliant...but let's face it...we all hoped for a good Florence episode!😍
Facts! 💯💯💯
.
Yasss!!🤣🤣🤣👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
What surprised me is that Isabel Sanford is 21 years older than Sherman Hemsley.
Her and mother Jefferson
The first Pam and Martin🤣
Actually the first would be Fred Sanford and Aunt Esther. Lol They'd be second.
First came Fred and Ester then came George and Florence third came Martin and Pam.
The verbal disagreements between George and Louise were hilarious 😆.
This was one of my ultimate favorite shows!!!!! I looked forward to seeing George and Florence go at it.
Same here.
Facts 🔥
Me too
Some of the insults she threw at him he had coming but she still got away with a lot lol
A whole lot! 😂
Florence a professional roaster.
She was priceless. Best casting ever!!!!
I would love to see the bloopers for The Jeffersons
@@rriddick8571 u know those bloopers have to be filled with the most funny lines and big laughs
God Thank you for keeping Marla Gibbs with us and letting her get her star ⭐ on the Hollywood Walk of Fame..I love Florence, when she wasn't in an episode in the earlier seasons I was sad! 💐
No other show like the Jefferson. I so miss good comedy shows like this. The good old days.❤️❤️👍
They really don't make them ( comedy) like this anymore 🤗
This is too funny🤣We need a show like this today in 2022.
I agree but people are "soft" nowadays, too many feelings would get hurt!
Yes, I like to see Erealis his wife get a Tv show. You know Uncle Daddy,Peewee etc,😁😂
It would be so refreshing!!
REST IN PEACE , GEORGE AND THE PEOPLE ON THIS SHOW WE LOVE YOU GUYS , AND MISS YOU GUYS ,,
Florence is still alive!! :D
Some of the most epic comebacks in tv history! Absolutely love this show!
No doubt! Love Mother Jefferson too!🤣
@@kallen868 Yes, me too! They ought to make one about Mother Jefferson vs Louise.
Greatest sitcom of the 70's by far. I'm rewatching currently on Amazon Prime, have not seen these episodes since my childhood. (I'm 48) I find myself tearing up in some of the emotional scenes! Usually in the moments when conflict is put aside and love for each other is expressed. Absolutely nothing this brilliant, funnt, decent, and kind-hearted today.
@@kallen868 she reminds me so much of my own grandmother, may they rest in peace.
@Cherished Cat Lover LOL
They don't make comedy's like this anymore! Thursday nights, mom made dinner, we'd sit and eat and after dinner watch The Jefferson's at 8 and bedtime by 9. Times were better back then!!
Glory Hallelujah! You ain't never lied! The good old days, where did they go & where can I find them again?🤔🤔🤔
If either of you find them TAKE ME WITH YOU! PLEASE.
LUCIOUS & COOKIE Lyon 🤣 GEORGE JEFFERSON & Louise Jefferson 💯🤣
I been looking for a George and Florence Compliations for years 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah...when Florence puts that hand on that hip, and looks over at George... you know those gears are grinding in her head for that comeback on George.
A BRIGHT spark just holding "fireworks" while wearing ovenmits! 👏👏👏👏👏
Florence was Funny 🤣 George was Impossible and Hilarious ALL at the SAME time 😂
This show was was groundbreaking & amazing!
The Jefferson's was the most brilliant show ever.
Along with Sandford & son, and Good times too!
My favorite back & forth duo!!!
Watch all of The Jefferson shows when I was younger. I can't believe they are gone.
Match made in heaven. This show was the 💣. Great humor 😅
No one delivers a line like Florence. I can’t get enough of her vs my Jefferson
Good Entertainment, Never gets old.
👏👏
”Did you get to talk to the devil?" Ha.
10 years this show lasted long love me some Jeffersons
I love how florence throws shade at Mr. Jefferson.
They were the highlights of the show.
Florence kept George humble 😂😂😂
LOVE THE VACUUM PART...LOL...
I loved the episode where Florence was drunk and sprayed the guy with club soda while George was beating him up for trying to sell him some dodgy vans. 😂
That's the episode of Louise Gets Her Way By Hiring Florence when her apartment building got burned down and Louise hires Florence behind Goerge 😂😂😂😂
I love the way that Florence just stands up for herself and just speaks her mind
RIHP Marla Gibbs, Sherman Hemsley, Isabel Sanford & Roxie Roker!! Thank you all for the memories!! 💘 🎥 😊 👪 🎶 😍 🎭
Marla is still alive currently.
So sorry to everyone about the misinformation; Ms. Marla Gibbs is currently alive at 91 years of age!! May God continue to bless her with good health, life longevity, happiness, joy, peace & prosperity!!
@@joannehines7806 Don't forget Franklin Cover, Zara Cully, Paul Benedict and Mike Evans.
My favorite show was Florence, George and Billy Dee Williams that one was PRICELESS.
This is the greatest
George: What are YOU staring at?
Florence: I was just thinking, I ought to bring my neighbor's kids over here! This place is better than the ZOO!
😆
You know how many times I try to find a video where it’s George vs. Florence! Finally it’s here! Thank you Norman Lear! I’m currently a writer and you have always been my inspiration. Thank you for all that you have done to bring quality TV
I know right!? I have been waiting for someone to do this! George and Florence are up there with Fred and Esther, Martin and Pam and Al Bundy and Marcy Darcy.
Florence is my spirit animal.
I loved that show!
That wig and suit Florence had on remind me of the the clothes my aunt wore in the late 70s early 80s 😃
...Straight outta Ebony Fashion-Fair 1981!!!
👍🏽💯😆😂🤣😅
The Jefferson Classic pure Entertainment
Hi Georgia how are you doing
Love this show. REAL COMEDY!!!!
Can you believe Mr. Lear turns 100 on July 27th, 2022?
Jefferson's great show I love when Florence and George go at it Thanks Norman Lear for the memories job well 👍 done
Great Show!!!
Great characters, played by great actresses, & actors,
wonderful!!!❤️🎉🎉🎉💫
Florence is my fav act on this show!!!!
By far
Florence spitting bars, she’s good!!
George Jefferson Florence Johnston chemistry 100% A+++
2:32
This dude would give Kawai Leonard a run for his money in the "funny laugh" department.
Florence's guest was King George from Coffy
Wonderful Florence.❤
Martin & Pam of the 70s
Actually that'd be Fred Sanford and Aunt Esther.
“Am I ready to travel?“….”sure, your broom is in the closet”😅😅😅😅😅😅😊😊😊
Love this show!!!!! ❤😂😂
I wish they had included the scene where George teaches Tom how to "think on [his] feet" like a black person:
George: "Hey, Florence! Your cookin' tastes like dog food."
Florence: "That's 'cuz I'm cookin' for a chihuahua."
Me: 😄😂🤣
I love this show wish they come back again LoL
This is the 70s version of Martin and Pam lol
Actually that'd be Fred and Esther.
I also like the episode where Florence almost marries that zealot.
George & Florence are the best duo man.
Florence, Jefferey, and Niles were the best butlers and maid with the best one liners and come backs! The shows were better with them in it! 😂😂😂
Yes
How could you forget Benson? Lol.
What about Alice and Hazel
Those days and years ❤❤❤❤❤ make everything laughters 😂 😂😂😂😂😂 ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼🙏🙏🙏🙏
Happy 92 years live to see many more
George and Florence always went at each other, but when it came to push and shove, they had each other’s backs. 👍💪
Playing the dozens in its purist form.
Florence is the only woman who can knock some sense in George's bald head.
Love these two!!
Those were the days has a little girl I would laugh my self out while watching the Jefferson and still is while watching this clip thank u 😂😂👍
Always love the Jefferson from I was a child I watching them
She’s Hilarious and Sherman was a fool !
Funny asf
Love the series. What a great show! I keep going back and watch all the episodes I possibly can. A great comedy with a great cast. Can't fault it.
I miss this show. It was funny and Florence spiced up the show.
Florence had to be the most Sassiest Lady on Television in the History of Television,😅still Hilarious and more funny than most of these shows out here 2 day! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Hi Rachel how are you doing
Trying to remember the show where there was a 'Raquel@, I think. Another comedy with the Raquel character being a sassy maneater-gogetter.
Just remembered the show was Room 222---Jackee something.
Her and Aunt Esther.
Martin and Pam definitely remind me of George Jefferson and Florence...
So do Al Bundy and Marcy Darcy. They actually remind me more of Fred and Esther
Their delivery was impeccable!
Idk but Louise was so beautiful 😻
I wish I had a slick mouth like Florence
MAAAAN Those 2 are ALWAYS Going at it 😩(Sigh) 😂😂😂😂😂 LOL!!!
