Skinny Shelter Dog Has Amazing Stroke Of Luck

- Niall Harbison visited the Animal Care Center (ACC) in New York this past week and met a skinny dog named Pepper Jack who was surrendered by his previous owners. He looked emanciated and had a fungal infection but was the friendliest dog. The good news is that after the video got out, PepperJack was adopted within 5 days and found a new home and is enjoying puzzle toys! Go Pepper Jack! Others have also reached out to us and to the ACC to adopt the other dogs seen in Niall's video, in the cages under the tablecloth in the corridor, and we're hoping that dogs will find new homes soon.
There's still many other dogs in the ACC who are looking for homes, as well as at shelters near you.
It's always so great when we see a dog with a family and the love they deserve.

People! Please do not wait till when someone wellknown and popular promotes some dog for adoption! If you are serious about finding a good friend just go to your nearest animal shelter and adopt! All the best to you!
Agreed, also there are agencies to help with food for your animal instead of surrendering.
Well, Niall did get him adopted, right? I do agree that folks should go and adopt to their nearest Shelter but just be grateful Niall featured Pepper Jack on Camera. What would have been his fate if Niall didn't showcase him? ~
I totally agree, the first port of call for anyone wanting a dog should be your local shelter. There are so many in the USA many of which are kill shelter’s! But a big thank to Niall for raiding awareness and for being instrumental in getting Pepper Jack adopted 🙏❤️

ALWAYS go to a shelter/rescue! Never buy a pet from a pet store because they deal, far too often, with puppy mills. Don’t buy from a backyard breeder. I had a neighbor that bred dogs and I could tell you the horror stories. Any dog you can imagine can be found at a shelter/rescue and, I swear, they know you saved them and they overflow with love💕

Niall does so much good he's a wonderful kind loving man. What I do not understand is how folk all over the world adopt from Thailand when there are shelters in their own country who are so over crowded & are euthanizeing dogs every day why not adopt from your local shelters??? I'm in England & it's totally heartbreaking 💔 the amount of dogs & cats being put to sleep every day throughout the day. All our pets have been rescue. The situation in many countries concerning this is beyond awful & heartbreaking. Why does it take someone like Niall to advertise before folk adopt??

People, please don’t adopt hoping to make your dog tik tok, Instagram or utube famous! Adopt because your heart is in it, and you are responsible for the doggo till the end of the doggo’s life. I have seen too many elderly doggos just dropped off in random areas…..
