Thank you! Had a loose toilet seat and had no idea how to fix it. You helped me fix it in 5 mins!
Amazing video, thanks so much for taking the time to prepare this, told me everything I need to know, and really appreciated the steps on being careful when installing the toggle zip. Made a worrying job seem very easy, many thanks again.
This video is excellent. It is concise, well presented and does a great job. Thank you! It explained exactly how to adjust and replace our toilet seat. Brilliant!
I was about to remove my toilet from the wall and found this - excellent! Brilliantly explained - I am very grateful. What an ingenious thing a toggle zip is.
SAME!!
Same here, thanks for sharing this !
Thanks from Germany, you saved our dinner tomorrow. I have to change the seat in our guest toilette and after unboxing I thought, this will need a long time, but then I discovered your Video! By the way, I changed the seat from a keramag, same procedure, thank you😁😁👍👍👍👍
Sir, big THANK YOU from Warsaw, Poland 🙂
Thank you sir for your easy to follow steps in good slow pace.
Looking everywhere on how to get the toilet seat off. Didn't know it was so easy and just pulled off!! Many thanks for showing us.
Much better than the B&Q video
thanks a million for this, mate. I was at my wits end until I found this.
What a pleasant change to see such a clear and helpful instructional video. Thanks.
What an excellent video. It's well explained and very comprehensive. Thanks very much.
Fantastic. I'm about to go and fit mine. Although I'm having trouble removing the old one 😭 Very grateful. Thank you
Solved a puzzle for me. Saved me a lot of time. Thank you.
Similar to other comments, i was fearing the worst, i.e. a struggle or toilet removal. This video is brilliant and explains the process so well, now life is simple ! thank you
Solid Gold! Helped me fix fix my broken seat instead replacing it. Thanks a lot :)
Thank's for that. I "broke" our new fancy loo and now it is fixed. Hooray.
Brand new flush wall fitted toilet, with a wobbly seat. Video great to show how to tighten things from the top. Very useful.
Great, and did the trick, job done and lid replaced.Very many Thanks
Wow, this was so very helpful and made the job really easy. Thanks!
Very clear and easy to follow instructions cheers! Oh one last thing they were pozidrive screws and not phillips. :)
Thanks mate, saved me some $ with this effective and easy instructions.
Very useful information. thanks have now replaced my seat. saved me time and money..
great video, makes it simple to understand. thanks a lot!!
Thank you very much - really clear and helpful instructions.
Good clear instructions Others posting instructions on CZcams should take note
great video, straight forward instructions !
Very helpful. Thank you.
grazie anche dall'Italia. Molto, molto chiaro
ThNks so much for this detailed guidance. God bless you sir.
very helpful information
Nice instructions. One question: How do you adjust the height of the seat, so that all four pads touch down on the top of the toilet? Sometimes the two pads in the rear tend to be too high and therefore not making contact. Then most of the weight is taken by the hinges.
Succint ! Thanks. I will dedicate my next relief in your honour! My seat broke the other day and pinched the heck out of my derier!
This was so helpful! Thankyou.
Hi mate, thanks for sharing, can someone please advise the brand of the White linking things that used to fix the seat? And what's the name of it?
Brilliant, got it, very grateful
Lifesaver, really helpful thanks!
Perfect. Thanks very much for your help.
That was helpful! Thank you!!
Reall good tutorial you couldn’t go wrong.
What a helpfull instruction. Thank you very much
Hello, I live in an Arts and Crafts 1918 bungalow; I own a Villeroy and Boch Strada 2-piece toilet in Biscuit, which matches the style of the house nicely. The toilet came with a plastic seat that V&B makes exclusively for that model, as they do for all their toilets. My question is, can you switch the V&B plastic toilet seat out for a regular elongated oak wood toilet seat which would look much better? Is there some type of conversion kit available to do so?
A client asked me to look at their loose seat, the hinge set up looks slightly different to your video. Do they all work on lift up principal?
These hinges look more like a horizontal barrel, all white.
thank you so much....just fixed mine :)
where do you get the fixings?
This was very useful, thanks. The instruction that are printed on the plastic parts bag are completely unreadable! I had problems removing the old bolts, which were obviously corroded. I solved the problem by first squirting some WD40 done the hole and left it to do its magic while I had lunch. Then I forced a thin, long flat-bladed screwdriver done the hole next to the bolts to hold the nut still while carefully undoing the bolts with a decent ring wrench. They were still stiff but yielded eventually! No more cleaning this toilet with bathroom cleaner, soapy water only in future.
Very informative, cheers.
Great video, never too old to learn about new things. ( like your watch, what make is it )?
The answer to the mystery! Thanks
Thanks. Really helpful.
Surely it's a damn sight easier to fit the seat before the plumber fits the bog, cos surely you can get behind and under it before its fitted to the cistern, if you know what I mean
Excellent, informative video.
Thank you!!!!
Brilliant. Thank you.
Thank you 😊
Great video thanks sir for that 👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Thank you!
Спасибо! Отличная инструкция. 👍
Thanks very much... I think I should be able to manage this now - without calling a plumber!
Same here, was gonna pay £40 to a plumber to do mine as I couldn't find the access. Now I can, yay!
Thank you sir.
Great video, thanks. where can we buy them
Hi , can anyone tell me whats the brand of the white hinge ?
Very informative but those fittings are not very user-friendly, are they? All a bit “finicky”. And those toggle switches look very fragile! Must say I still prefer the old nuts and bolts with easy access from below. Why can’t soft-close loo seats be fitted with them? But thanks for posting, very clear instructions.
super
great video, made my toilet repaired. Please offer international delivery and i'll be your russian customer!
Where can i get these fixings?
Welcome back to another round of "why is this a recommended video" 🤣
I am unable to remove the fixing on mine ( on either side). Using screwdriver the screw come loose but do not come'up' . Presume the part it is screwed into is loose. Any ideas how I can remove?
how did you eventually do it?
Have added lock washers and some mastic - time will tell.
A first class video but - however tight I made the fixings the seat still slid about due to the offset pivot.. Now I'm going to try some mastic.
The previous seat was a much better design as it had a bar right across. The seat then slid onto the bar and was secured by two tiny screws - very easy for removal. However the soft close didn't last long and doesn't appear to be repairable
i hate toilets. I cant figure out how to fix mine. the holes are to small for any of the achors ive tried
Thank you for this great video! The instructions that come with the seat are sh*t, without this video I’d have to pay someone to fit it.
Very nice presentation. But whoever made such a complicated thing out of something that used to be simple and straightforward should be locked up in the Tower for life. I just went in to install my new bidet seat and found the old seat won't come off and it's bolted underneath out of sight, like the one you show. I don't know what I'm going to do about it. Maybe I should just build a bloody little outhouse and be done with it.
THANKS FOR THE INFO, BUT i DO NOT THINK THIS IS A USER FRIENDLY FITTING.
u
Easy to install, czcams.com/users/postUgkxjA-hDN2m8_mi0Dg0JD8U6QiArozIAc4I and comfortable. No idea what other people were talking about when they said it was difficult to install or uncomfortable.
WTF! toggle zips. These are the best invention ever.
Also, toilets with no access are the worst invention ever, UNLESS YOU HAVE TOGGLE ZIPS! WHERE DO I GET THEM!!!
Never ever ask a question again.... Just Google it
