I don’t know if it has been mentioned in the comments by someone else but some guns, and especially, magazines may not be legal in some states. For example magazine capacity in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, etc. . Flying? You could be arrested in the airport when you pick up your gun if it is illegal where you land.

Another thing you can do if you have soft luggage : use a cable lock 🔐 as one of the case locks and wrap it around the metal frame of the suitcase. I used grommets to make 2 small holes in the fabric liner. The last time I flew with it, TSA did not allow checked bags to be locked.

First rule of a firearm is it's always loaded, you have to be the safety, learn first so you don't get burned later!

    Thanks for the informative video.
I took a look at the USCCA reciprocity map and it's dated 19may2021.
    Is this the latest?
    How often does this change?

Thank you this was a helpful video. However, you pretty much skipped over the whole subject of traveling inter or intra state via a personal vehicle with firearms, which i believe happens far more often than travel by air or other public transport with a firearm. This includes just going to/from a range. For example, there are some states like California where getting a concealed carry permit has been almost impossible, and therefore, that firearm locked in the trunk or in some sort of locked case is still your primary defense since it is the only defense you have with you. With that in mind, while you know the firearm must be unloaded, what does unloaded mean? You might want to travel in your truck or car with a loaded magazine or speed loader of some type in case of any emergency, but is that generally lawful or do magazines always have to be unloaded as well? If loaded magazines are legal, how do they have to be secured? In the same locked case as the firearm? In a separate locked case? Anywhere in the trunk (if you have one) as long as the trunk is locked? Finally, you noted that you cannot just travel on an airplane with ammo in a plastic bag, but what about in a car or truck? Can it just be in a plastic bag anywhere in a car or truck or does ammo also have to be in a locked trunk or a locked case? It would be much more helpful if you talked about these issues rather than talking about uncommon airplane travel (uncommon for many of us) with a firearm.

What could go wrong, if your plane due to weather, mechanical issue or defective passenger is diverted to say a City or State without reciprocity?

I was in the market to buy a S&W Equalizer. But after I saw your tweet promoting PB fascists, I think I'll be getting a Ruger instead.

They teamed up with Perception Brand, not Proud Boys. Stick with your Ruger, wouldn't want to be seen with the same brand as someone who doesn't look past a single tweet that also didn't look into the situation.
