      But in a lot of places, toast box have displaced Ya Kun stall... and that is because Toast box has a stronger backing as their boss is Bread Talk.... which is pretty much international by now... Ya Kun is stil very singaporean local based... thus it is more authentic...

      @@BlackKnight_999 I agree! Toast Box standards vary from different outlets. ( Though i find them pretty even. ) Ya kun is pretty good for almost every outlet (That i know of ). Killiney Road i feel the standard is dropping sadly. ( Only the Original outlet which is located at the same name of the brand is good ) Hopefully they pick themselves up.

    In Singapore there are couple more dialect groups, Teochew originate from Shantou, Guangdong, and Cantonese similar to Hong Kong, then we also have the Hainanese and Hakka and Hockchew as well....

    Singaporeans don’t really drink ovaltine actually.. the common popular chocolate malt drink in Singapore is Milo. It taste better than ovaltine and can be found in every drink stall and coffee shops
