With the vinegar cure for the fish, it's basically a Korean ceviche! Perfect for a spring day lunch at the beach.
Refreshing cold raw fish eaten while overlooking the ocean. Hard to beat.
I don't have any fish so I just made it as a light salad, vegetables with the same dressing. Looks good with fish though!

최근에 SNS에서 호남에서는 재료가 신선할수록 빨갛게 무친다는 얘기를 지나가듯이 봤는데... 사실인지 모르겠지만 생각해보니 저희 아빠 고향(전주)에서도 육회를 고추장에 버무리고 여수 출신 엄마도 간장게장보다 양념게장을 더 좋아하시더라고요. 정말 지역색이 반영된 것일지 아니면 입맛의 차이일지, 신기방기 ㅋㅋ

Fish that is flash frozen is best for Sushi/Sashimi. Fresh Fish contains many types of small 'worms' that will cause stomach issues.
And what about the fishy smell of fish
The fish used for this type of recipe is supposed to be very fresh, so they're not as smelly. Some of the ingredients in the marinade (eg. chili powder) will help mask the remaining odor.
