According to reviews found elsewhere on this grinder, that locking lever is prone to unlocking when the machine vibrates in use. Seems like the change was a bad idea
Hi Nick, I was thinking about buying one of these and had a question. Are the grinder plates made out of aluminum or stainless steel? I saw in one of the reviews that a guy was looking for a grinder plate with larger holes. If made of aluminum, I think I could throw one of those plates in my drill press and make the holes larger pretty easily? I’m guessing the manufacturer has extra blades for sale?
I had it and was really loud and got a cabelas carnivore meat grinder and is way quieter

@@WR_CTorch they are stainless steel but weston does not have replacement or other blades for sale for this model.
