If the sith were hiding on Achtoo it would be an excellent rhyme for Yoda hiding on Dagobah. The dark hiding the light in the latter and the light hiding the dark in the former.
@ScreenCrush You missed that the female alien Jedi on the right is of the Theelin species. The same species as Rystáll Sant who is one of the backing singers/dancers in Maxx Rebo's band and the bounty hunter Latts Razzi who appeared in the Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 4/5.
However Rystáll Sant is apparently a human Theelin hybrid. Also this Jedi is portrayed by none other than Dafne Keen aka Logan's Laura/X-23 and His Dark Materials Lyra.
Finally the young male Jedi on the right with curly hair at 12:00 is portrayed by Game of Thrones and 1917's Dean Charles - Chapman. He played King Tommen Baratheon in GoT and Lance Corporal Blake in 1917. Basically the main supporting lead.
It’s a long shot, but worth remembering that Bane actually tricked the Sith to blow themselves up in a cave so he could start his rule of 2. I’m sure a cave with thousands of spirits of Jedi and sith haunting it would make a powerful shrine

The jedi wore both the white and gold robe and the brown tunics during the high republic Era. The white was the formal more ceremonial garbs, the brown was a more casual, field uniform.

High Republic = The Old Republic. they changed the name to High Republic to refer to what the republic was called during that time. Even when Palpatine was senator of the republic. The High Republic was refer to the Old Republic. Reason being is because the Galatic Republic fell to the Sith. When the jedis were able to restore Order , it became a New Republic and the High Republic was thus referred as the Old Republic. The High Republic is Disney attempt to rewrite the stories of Knights of the Old Republic. Because before the accusation of LucasFilms, Kotor was the official history of the star wars Republic. Since KOTOR is now considered Legacy, Disney is now calling it by the name it was referred by during that time period. The High Republic. In a Nutshell... LucasVerse the history of the Republic is called the Old Republic. In the DisneyVerse everyone still referrs to the Old Republic as the High Republic.

You know, this wouldn't be the first time the Jedi "covered up". Even when Qui-Gon told the council that he believed he faced a Sith, they were like, nah dude, you were on something. It is like a total denial thing, which could actually be the thing that marks the end of the high republic, where the Jedi drift into this state of denial we see in the prequels.

Yeah they can go route for "technicality" just calling their enemy "rogue force user", or "fallen jedi" refusing to accept they are full on sith. Or they may go more noble route - lets say they find dark side artefact or place that is so powerfull almost no jedi can resist it, so for PROTECTION of everyone they erase every account of this event and swore secrecy, so no jedi can fall to that artefact/place ever again.

The Wookiee Jedi is actually a new character called Kallnacca (I probably spelled it wrong). The showrounner confirmed it last year in Star Wars Celebration when she brought the character on stage. She also confirmed the character is played by Joonas Swotomo, the actor who played Chewbacca in the Sequel trilogy and Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Joonas Suotamo as Kelnacca, a Wookiee Jedi Master. Suotamo previously portrayed Chewbacca in the sequel trilogy films and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Wookiees actually live to be at least 400 years old. In Legends, Han had been partly raised by an old Wookiee woman named Dewlannamapia, and she was nearly 600. Chewbacca, at the time of "A New Hope", was 200 years old.
Chewbacca in the Solo movie is more than 190 years old, which according to some timeline dates (varies by what & where you read/check) puts Chewie at 205 at least.... so a bit over 200.🤷♂️
My money's on Carrie-Anne Moss being the secret Sith master. in the combat scenes it almost looks as though she's *training* Amandla Stenburg. The trailer also seems to be giving us little clues about how the Jedi could be viewed in something other than a positive light, abusing their power- the mind trick scene, for example - which ties in with the line about who is ALLOWED to use it.
I'm extremely impressed by the amount of knowledge you have on SW and the amount of symbolism you picked up on, bravo. I think you pretty much nailed it with the plot.
So the green lady walking out of the door in the white and gold robes is Vernestra Roh, the “Vern” from the THR novels with the purple whip saber 😎🥰

This has incredible potential, I always said Disney should have gone back, not reuse existing characters in a passing of the torch merch run. Hope they use the same aesthetic style for the Jedi we saw in Survivor with Dagan & others.
when i looked it up on where it fits in the timeline. i read that it takes place over 100 years before episode 1: the phantom menace.
Frankly rather refreshing to see such positivity around the Acolyte. I don’t know yet if it’s warranted, but hey I already plan on watching it, and I’ll make my judgment then.

I’m excited for the idea of exploring new areas of Star Wars, but the trailer didn’t do much for me, in fact it left me wondering why not kick this era off correctly by actually doing a movie.
Star Wars is immensely underserved with a Disney+ series, especially when it’s SFX/VFX heavy
Also, when Carrie Anne Moss‘s character was fighting the assassin. It totally resembled the fight scene between Neo and Morpheus in The Matrix

Definitely worth noting that the O in the final logo could be connected to the "eclipse" in the SW game of the same name, which I think is also High Republic era (and hopefully actually gets made). Might be a historic event, or just an allegory for the light of the Jedi being eclipsed by darkness

I find it interesting that you like the High Republic stories so much. I read the first book and it was confusing and felt pointless with boring characters. I did not continue further in the series after finishing book 1.

12:52 Honestly I think the jedi on the right is 100% plo koon. the kel dor are a relatively small species within the star wars universe and plo koon was like 300 years old when he died in RoTS so this could very likely be plo koon as a jedi knight or even a jedi master. Also I think that the sith is 100% going to be Darth Plagueis. Maybe the assassin could be his attempt at a first apprentice before Palpatine came into the picture.

@@GGBlaster that scene definitely implies a lot, but leaves enough unconfirmed and unsaid that they could change the story at any time. Trust me, I want the story to be 100% cannon. It's just still not fully fleshed out yet (in cannon content).
Daphne Keen is playing a Theelin/Human hybrid. Theelin were the race seen in the Clone Wars that have 3 horns on either side of their face.
The alien padawan isn't a Zabrak. Her name is Jecki Lon, and she's a Theelin/human hybrid. The Theelin species appeared in Return of the Jedi as one of the alien dancers in Jabba's Palace. The Theelin species is a favourite of showrunner Leslye Headland. Also, the Wookiee Jedi is an original character for the show named Kelnacca.

Seriously both Disney and Lucas before them just failed Star Wars. It’s an ENTIRE GALAXY. Yet all they give folks are the same stories with the same or similar characters. They never even think of making a true darth vader in his prime movie or series. I’m not even a Star wars fan. Never have been. I just hate wasted opportunities when it comes to great stories. Terrible.

Charlie Barnett’s Yord, who wields a yellow lightsaber. He’s a Jedi Knight described as “an overachiever and a rule follower,” and his by-the-book attitude regularly clouds his judgment. He’s accompanied by a young alien padawan: Jecki, played by Logan’s Dafne Keen, and the apprentice to Master Sol.
Jecki has been confirmed to be a half-human, half-Theelin, a hybrid alien species first seen in Return of the Jedi-one of Jabba’s dancers added in the Special Edition re-release of the movie, Rystáll Sant, was a human/Theelin hybrid too.

This acolyte trailer looks awesome very excited for this series i had no idea this series takes place during near plagueis era. Would be cool to see plagueis hope it is an apprentice his master darth tenebrous is my favorite sith.
One of the reasons I like this channel is the editing. It hasn't been great lately, like differentiating audio (sound from Ryan being fine but cuts from other sources being turned way too down) or clear markers meant for post-edit not being edited, but this video is great, in that respect.
This video has some significant downvotes, but I equate that to SW fans responding (check out the official trailer released by Disney. It interestingly has many downvotes). This was a well made video. Thank you for putting forth the effort. I enjoyed it through and through.

If the Acolyte wasn't influenced by a Sith artifact or went to Korriban, then someone went to the Maw and spent their time for too long and got influenced by Abeloth.
