Perfect for a side by side. What I have learned, riding side by sides, is what ever you put in it is going to get ruined so there is no point in spending a bunch of money. For 79 bucks you could replace this 10 times if needed for the price of top end models. Great review.
I love these types of videos. I would LOVE some kind of coaxial speaker for cars on a budget video! You sure are excellent at delivering these gems to our amazon shopping cart.

to really test what it can do . especially rca sometimes the 1 volt can be horrible or it might actually be not so bad

from somewho sells fusion and the kicker kmc marines stuff they have alot of features the cheaper ones dont..like zone control, sat radio, the remote function so you can have volume controls and etc at the rear or front of the boat away from the radio, some even have wifi and apple airplay. dsps, and speed based volume
I bought the RF PMX2 for a build I just did. It was like 450. Really nice unit, the customer thought it was amazing.
On the side of the box at 1:32, next to 14. it says "Four channels power output : 50W x 4"

This looks like it might be a nice HU for a DIY portable BT speaker. What is it's idle current when it's on?
I have the NVX H/U you showed in the intro. My boat came factory with a Clarion GR10BT and I absolutely hated the push button volume. This is my second season with the NVX and it is still working just fine. I exclusively use it for BT and no complaints. The RCA’s are sufficient for my Taramps Smart3K and Wetsounds SDX2.
Would be cool too see a couple different versions of these tested. I was actually looking at the kicker unit for the dirt to demo build. Using it outside on a stand or mouted in the side door so I can give two person demos.
Imo these types of units are def the best for extreme vehicles. I do wish I knew more abt them. Luckily you shouldn't need too much in the way of features. A touch screen and everything would be overkill
How does the screen look in direct sunlight?
This reminds me of some of those cheap DVD players that Circuit City used to stock, that used to play video and audio files from DVD-R's LONG before expensive name brand units did it. And for about half the price. Clunky, unpolished interface, and didn't always play the vids right. But they let you play gigs of MP3's via a digital connection from a 99 cent DVDR back when any other option(of which there were few) would cost hundreds more.
I remember those. I bought an Apex just for that purpose back in the day.

For people with those issues you were saying in the beginning of the video. Just buy a RCA to Bluetooth Reciever. Plug the rcas into your amps, amps to your speakers and just use your phone in the front seat. Mount your phone or keep it in your pocket to enjoy music and nav.
I bought a rockville that had the Bluetooth built into the amp pretty cool but after restart it goes to max volume, scares the shit out of people 😂, went with a cadence Bluetooth interface, their older model that has no amplification, idk how I like it tbh. Might switch it up.

I put one of these in my boat this year. So far so good. sound is decent and volume is plenty on the four speakers it is driving. also have taramps 4 ch amp 1 and 2 powering tower speakers and 3 and 4 bridged driving sub. stereo sounds good over all we will see how long it lasts
What is crazy is this tiny little Marine stereo .Puts out more power then a 250 watt Pyramid power booster equalizer
Saw this on Amazon the other day and was curious about. Thanks for saving me the 79 bucks. The rca voltage is the let down for me. I've been installing professionally for almost 10 years and have started specializing in boats & side by sides since the lockdowns. Most of the brand name gauge style radios are overpriced for what you get. They have fewer features and generally cost way more than a single din.

If you're running coaxials , it will be more than adequate.
Marine radios are INCREDIBLY over priced. Even the best features on most dont justify the prices. Im willing to bet the profit from these for the "big buys" are incredibly high vs. the cost.
It looks A LOT like the Rockford Fosgate. I put a stereo in my enclosed trailer using the Rockford and It’s awesome. I paid way more than this one costs
Yup, it's a Power Acoustik pm43 stuffed into a gauge pod with a 4:3 screen.
It’s a shame the rca outs are only 1v. Would be cool to see what some of the “slightly” more expensive units would do. That Fusion at being the most expensive better be a miracle worker.

Make sure you have the +12V connected to constant +12V and only the turn on wire to switched 12V (ignition)

Yes you can basically spray it with spray can clear coat. The problem is if you ever have to repair its really hard.

I know this is unrelated but why no amp dyno tests at 12.6volts? All these amp dyno tests are for a selective audience. I bet there’s more ppl running 12.6 than 14.6. But the 12.6ers takes this info in as if they’re running 14.6+ volts.
because 14.4 is the nominal charge voltage for a running vehicle. (modern cars will vary depending on load and temperature but will keep it generally around 13.8. 12.6 volts is what a fully charged 12 volt battery should read after sitting for several hours.
@@CotyRiddlenot arguing with you, your comment is a good one but as a mechanic for decades servicing all makes & models & generations have never seen or metered 14.4 volts...gas, diesel, hybrid, EV, marine, military 12v, 24v on stock alternator/s
interesting. I have seen it several times. usually though its right after a cold start and for a very short time. with all the confusers now days and alternators being computer controlled and with clutches o.0 i have no clue. on my 2000 civic i see 14.4 after start up but it will quickly drop to 13.8 and once warmed up around 13.6 and will increase back to around 14 volts when the ac or headlights are on. my 06 dodge is pretty much the same although likes to hover right at 13.7 volts most of the time.@@Dauntless.steadfast.fortitude

I've seen a few people that have gotten them in the base head groups and said they were junk. It's a 400.4 inside basically I believe. Which isn't a great amp to begin with.
