- Hey! So in this video me and Emil Ernebro compare guitars in No. 1 Guitarshop in Gothenburg.
I'm a D'addario artist, simply because I LOVE and use their strings (they are the best IMO) check which ones I'm using here (classical guitar):

I very much will what amazing playing by the both of you!
Hallo saya dari indonesia bisakah membantu saya
Proof that the player matters more than the guitar
I was going to say the same.
I imagine that also the "depth" (?) of the body of the acoustic guitar plays a bigger role in terms of sound and volume than the price of the instrument (if both are well constructed?) :D
As for the electrical.. well no comment ;-)
Amazing players!
Emil is probably *the* best finger style guitarist in all of Sweden and Lucas is very, very good also. Even highly skilled players wouldn't make those guitars sound nearly as good lol
Also that tech get cheaper with time.
A new guitar at $600 probably got better electronics than that $45.000 from the 70s.
@@morilot
It could have better electronics, but it doesn't. It takes a lot of skill to build them and absolutely insane amounts of money to compete with the established brands.
They don't have any real competing pressure to make guitars both cheap and great, when cheap and decent will give more profits.
Then there's also the fact that guitars with that type of price will be the ones whose maker was a master luthier and the instrument itself likely being one of the best they ever made.
A testament to how good mid range guitars have become.
The fun-meter is peaking!! Always an absolute pleasure to hang out Lucas!! 🎶you’re the best!
Love your playing Emil. I'll be binging your videos in November looking to learn another of your Christmas songs!
I got the ad, "Do you want to play like Metallica?"
No, I want to play like Lucas and Emil!
same
genuinely preferring the less expensive guitar is not a failure, but a paramount success!
Lucas, would you please consider posting the entire jam session uncut? I would so much love to listen to it
Thank you D’Addario for supporting these two wonderful artists!
2 really excellent guitarists who make my playing feel like rubbish ...More please !!
don't compare please, you are you. Be happy this way! and if u want improvements just try to practice when u have some time.
@@florin3426 little story. i am an absolute fan of a british folk musician and have always been fascinated by his technique. i found myself frustrated again because i thought i should be able to do all this. I bought his biography and read that he played guitar 10 hours a day. it's hard to compare yourself to someone with so much experience. stay within your means, practice and listen to the pros. by the way, i don't play 10 hours :D not everyone can be a full time musician and sometimes that's ok :D have a good day!
That was not a jam, that was a GEM!!💎
Thanks Lucas for your joyful spirit that comes through the music. 🥳
Damn Lucas AND Emil!? 2 very different style and both very pleasing to thine ears!
Great vid! I liked how the jam was playing in the back while you guys were talking :)
Amazing, what a great video. The Jam session at the end was out-of-this-world
Love you guys! We need an album and a tour!!!
First two guitars have a clear difference in clarity, looking forward to the rest as we speak
Mic + positioning might also play a factor
Lucas where are you? You ok?
What an epic collaboration! My two favorite CZcamsrs together ❤️. I rarely notice the difference between instruments on a cell phone, but the Ibanez sounds like a shoebox compared to the Santa Cruz😄. Of course, in the hands of Emil, the shoe box also sounds fantastic👍! And please.. don't tell me that in the end this was a real improvisation🙏😉
oh my god the way you two play is absolutely amazing. how do u even play that groovy its so cool
great sounds guys
Amazing guitar skills
Great energy between you tow, a pleasure to watch
That jam at the end was fire 🔥
Years ago, I made a first trip to Sweden. I had the feeling that Gothenburg was not pronounced as it was spelled, so I asked my German friends how it should be spoken. They proved wrong. How could it be "Yet-a-buuri"?
I feel the same way after watching these videos. What I think I know is almost always wrong. It leads one to despair, yet I find amusement and inspiration in my defeat with these brilliant presentations. Wonderful!
Wow, absolutely love this
Playing with a blindfold is harder than looks

Salve colleghi!
I hope a duo album is coming soon!

Keep it and thenk you for everything what you do. Also wanted to tell yoy that ,Georgia, country from where i am there is so many and so reach music with a lots of jazz classical and other style music, it really would be nice to see perform by you and by your style. Greetings from Georgia !
Guys! It was such fun and joy to see &hear You playing together! Greetings from Hungary!
As far as cool videos go on CZcams these days, this one is on the top. Thanks guys 😊.
I love the honesty! I could have sworn the test was just for show but I was wrong.
Come back, bro, we all need your music
Discovered this, long ago.>bought many cheap guitars. Occasional guitar snob coming by: " ..What wood is that .?" .." Plywood," I’d reply . .(for a laminate). 😊
YOU GUYS are incredible in this field, says a hobby: bass/guitarplayer.
Subbed
Two guys having fun great double act more please thanks and brilliant playing of course 👏🏼👏🏼
Very Nice Video as always. 🙋♂️🎹
Great music! I almost forgot about the Les Pauls in the end.
The ‘57 very clearly needs a refret. You can hear it buzzing. This is common especially with the super low frets they used on these. I have a ‘56 that looks just like that one. It was unplayable when I got it. After a refret, it’s a much better instrument. No comparison. Is it worth the huge price difference? If you are only buying it as a gigging instrument, no. These are Vintage guitars that derive their value from their collectibility rather than quality/sound. Nevertheless, I can honestly say it’s the best playing and sounding guitar I own. I didn’t pay that much for it either.
YOU ARE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First two: the cheap one sounds very even and stable, while the expensive one is even but has that projection Lucas mentions.
Electric: the expensive one has better clarity when more strings are played (guess better pickup?).
Im not a guitar guy. Love the channel though.
Pretty nice format i like it when ylu go outsite and do some musik stuff xD
Wow two of my favorite's guitar players playing together. When are you playing in a concert in Sweden?
Love Emil!
Really loved the jam session at the end. That was awesome and made my day. Thanks guys. Great video as always.
If you cant hear the difference between a cheap guitar and a nice one GREAT! Buy the cheap one and save the nice guitar for some one who CAN!
Amazing jam
“That thing ain’t no shredder, the guy playing it is” was some of the best insight I ever been told in my 20+yrs of playing.
Revelation does make some great guitars. I've got one of their semi-hollows and really like it
Two of the best and crazy players in the same Video! MORE!
Make an Album, for goodness sake👀
You guys are freaks man. Should do more colabs if you can
The 1957 is super expensive because of the age and hype. Would be fun to try the same thing with a brand new Les Paul Modern, or even a Studio.
5:00 Maybe its just me - but it says fretless?
Mega duo!
Awesome Jam :)
2:34 Santa Cruz guitar on the head key tuner there is a MARTENITSA - Red with white thread (Every year on 1st of March, Bulgarian people celebrate a centuries-old tradition called the day of Baba Marta (baba means ‘Grandma’ and Marta means ‘March’), related to sending off the winter and welcoming the approaching spring). In fact, all guitars have them
Simply wonderful no matter what the guitar.
Im savarez guy myself but its soo cool that you guys are sponsored
C'est un véritable cadeau que de vous voir jouer ensemble. Merci à vous deux pour cette petite récréation musicale et amicale.
Great video, loved to see Emil and Lucas, two amazing musicians, together. 😊
Also, does anyone know what song is playing during 1:39? I'm pretty unknowledgeable and new to guitar.
I have an RTL55. Had the frets given a good levelling/dressing at a luthier, put some locking vintage style tuners on, Oil City master wound P90s and it's absolutely superb. Cost me about £500 all in. Even if I had the money I wouldn't buy the Gibson. I'd rather have a luthier build me an electric and an acoustic to my spec and taste, and still have tens of thousands left in my pocket.
Been a long long time since you updated your last content
IBanez AC340 is an exellent guitar in the price range, even comparable to the famous Yamaha FS830
Nice change for a change Lucas❤
Too much talent in one Collab!
I’ve never heard you play anything like this but I would be so curious to hear you play something like Mexican corridos tumbados by someone like junior h, natanelo cano or chino pacas just as some examples. Best wishes and as always I look forward to the next amazing thing you put out
Hey man, we miss your videos! 🙌
i would be very happy if you play Take Five, with some extras added by your genious soul.
2:42 Lovely! Tasty playing there. 😍
Love their strings as well. NYXL
Magnifiques guitaristes!
My man is swinging hard! Got me grinning like a fool!
Hey Lucas, great video as always! Mind to show us your gracefull skills by playing "Suteki da Ne" from nobuo uematsu?
No vids in MONTHS now. Should we send flowers?
It's not necessarily a failure if you enjoy playing one guitar over another! Beauty is subjective, of course.
Where are you? We miss you bro :(
Lucas: keep posting videos. I’m an old professional guitarist but appreciate young guys with incredible talent. Both my wife and I try to promote you every chance we get because we know that your account is monetized.
Great summertime song
14's? That man plays that fluidly and easily with 14's? Crazy talent and beautiful sound.
It would be interesting to see you do an arrangement of classical gas.
Some golden guitar playing here
I think one cannot hear the difference in price, but definitely difference in frequency spectrum output. The thing is: who is looking for what. Sometimes you can find some sound without really going crazy about the price...
I’m loving it.
Where is Lucas?
I've been playing for 25 years. And still learning. As with any instrument it takes devotion. I will pay anything. I don't care if it's $10 or $10,000.
Jeez those are some chops
Your renditions of tarrega are really cool
Perfect guitarists
Imagine walking into a small guitar shop and see these two. The combined guitar power in that shop could probably defeat a country!! 😂
The obligatory sales section for daddrio was 🤑
bravo!
Super bien 👍
Fur Elize album I need when you release
Comme quoi un bon milieu de gamme fait parfaitement le job !
The sound is one aspect but the playability, look, and longevity are another. The cost difference is in materials, attention to details, mechanical bits and the smaller market for an expensive instrument. Obviously, this doesn't apply to vintage collectibles. The Les Paul needed some work but was priced as an antique not on the playability. All this to say that when you pick up most cheap guitars your hands and eyes will know the difference right away.
1:40 Chet Atkins (Fingerpicking)
Fantastic show Lucas, you guys could make a rubber band strung over a biscuit tin & make it sound great. $57,000 V$700 ??? I've always been dubious about the whole vintage guitar thing, I know that people say it's the way it makes you feel but really!!! One's reminded of " THE EMPERORS NEW CLOTHES " could you name me anything else that's almost 70 times the price that doesn't work or feel better?? Alright ridiculously expensive Watches!! . This one I know to be true because I've owned one & the £60.00 Seiko kept better time & was more reliable. Most people would like to drive a vintage car for a day, but for a year!! Better get a bus pass. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE.
As good as it gets!
Come back Lucas ❤
The comparison was interesting, but the playing was fabulous.
Why fretless guitar have frets? )
