Thank you for this video. This will be very helpful for my daughter who is 13 almost 14. I had oily acne prone skin as a teen and in my 20’s. She’s in the same situation so this is most helpful.

I’m a physician in my 40’s, and struggled with extremely oily skin since adolescence. I also live in a hot humid climate which makes me even oilier. Aside from prescription oral spironolactone, the most helpful products I have found thus far are to battle oil are: Cardon purifying clay cleanser every morning (because i wake up with an oil slick) which also contains hydrating ingredients thus it doesn’t strip my skin. I follow with Torriden dive in toner, which is basically water and multi-weight hyaluronic acid, to add more hydration, it feels very lightweight, not sticky at all. After serums, I use Numbuzin no.3 porcelain-base skip tone up cream spf 50 PA++++ as my all-in-one moisturizer, tinted sunscreen and mattifying makeup primer. This is very drying but is perfect for my extremely oily skin in humid conditions. If I don’t use this my makeup slides off after a few hours. After makeup, i apply powder sunscreen from Brush-on block, which is the most affordable powder sunscreen i have found so far. I also use it for touch ups and sunscreen reapplication.
On weekends if i am outdoors/active i will wash my face numerous times (because my face sweats a lot too, my sunscreen sweats off, and i can’t stand having feeling thr oil buildup on my face). I know dermatologists traditionally recommend not over washing the face, BUT I find that as long as i use a non-stripping gel cleanser (right now i like Prequel’s Gleanser, Dr Idriss soft wash, La Roche Posay Toleriane gel cleanser and Effaclar medicated gel cleanser with SA), and follow with the Torriden toner and sunscreen, my skin is very happy, without rebound oiliness.

Have you been able to reduce your sebum secretion? No. You are just managing it somehow. Niacinamide and retinol don't help at all. I have tried already. Zinc PCA is also useless. Salicylic acid too is the same.

Is it really necessary to wash your face with water every day if you have oily skin? I mostly use toners. My skin is mature, so my acne is not so severe anymore. But I still have oily skin and apply a topical retinoid prescribed by a dermatologist like once a week. I use Bioderma Sensibio H20 toner to wash it off. It's an amazing, gentle toner. I would appreciate if you made a video for people with oily skin who overdo skin cleansing and get red flaky irritated skin as a result. The actual opposite of what was intended. I'm very much fixated on all the impurities, so my cleansing strategies are often too aggressive. Which I hugely regret afterwards. What do you think of manual cleansing by a beautician?

I’ve been using generic tret cream .05 for 4 years. I still breakout. I am due for another tube but considering Altreno. Is the mineral oil in that base going to cause clogged pores?

I have oily but slightly more mature skin now, I am on spirolacotone and tretinion with niacinamide. Would any of these products work well with my tret? I don't know if the salicylic acid would be too harsh with tret
