I was searching nearly one hour for a solution (because I used the first Methode) now I finally found that video which explains me that in roughly four minutes! Thank you so much for creating this video, nice work and keep it up!👍
one problem with the first one when i tried to use the thumbnail method, it made the object disappear (if the object or context is important my character had fingers, was holding a hat which had a rigging part, and was ik rigged)
I’m trying to do this on an animation but every time I set the influence to zero the object I’m trying to have my character hold moves back to a completely different part of the animation. Even if I set key frames closer it still does this. Does anyone know the work around?
Literally the most helpful tutorial!

if you want the influence to instantly snap it's recommended to set the interpolation to constant. (it's linear by default)
Where do you set the interpolation
