Bees making a mess of waxed plastic foundation? How I fix it without adding more!

This video shows what I do to encourage the bees to draw plastic wax coated foundation frames. When the bees start to build bad burr and wild comb on them when in the hive. Plastic foundation can sometimes be a nightmare, most of the time it just needs more wax but when you pay out for premium coated frames It's a little annoying when the bees don't take to them very well. "That's beekeeping!" With every hive inspection I use this idea/method and it slowly sorts the situation to fill the frames out.

I really like the old method, wax and wood. Plus, if you want to harvest some bee bread how do you do that with these plastic frames?
Just my own preference I suppose!

Hi, yes I use both and I do prefer the traditional frames a little more. But these are easy when they work and have a lot going for them in different elements. With bee bread situation you can just scrape to the plastic frame. 🐝
