Parents have this misconceptions. That the child is their property. This leads to the child hating them eventually, since they're treated as objects. One of these 2 thoughts might come to mind. If the child doesn't kill itself, it becomes twisted to the point of losing its emotional humanity. Then, the parents complaint to relatives, how that child has betrayed us and repaid their generosity with nothing.
They never seem to realise what actually happened.
When someones mind is twisted, broken, reformed again and again and again since their childhood, they can lose their morals.
Parents need to understand they need to earn respect. Or at least, not try to lose the conditional respect that's forced out of the child anyways.
And they have the nerve to say, they were generous.
I want those type of parents to burn in the depths of hell.

I realized that most Indian audiences are immature way early in my life. As a teen when we would watch a satirical content, my friends could never read between the lines. They took everything literally. The major contributing factor to this could be that most of us are not taught to empathize since childhood. We Indians are sentimental and emotional but our empathy vanishes into thin air the moment we step out of our home. To others we are completely indifferent and one clear example is when people do not help each other in times of trouble. Moreover, our Institutes of education have done us much harm by shoving the tunnel vision syndrome down our throats since the child even begins to understand emotions.
Had AIB made a direct statement about the stress Indian parents put on their children, they would have again been under fire for inciting hatred against parents. And it is very difficult for those who haven't lost friends to understand where this video and message is coming from. Growing up in 90s, we lost many young talented youths to suicide, just because their parents weren't happy with the 98%. It is only in India, where if a child gets 96%, the parents ask why did the child lost the 4%. Parents abroad would constantly remind their children to be who they want to be but in India, parents would ask you to be like someone else's child who scored better or has a better job or spouse.
I do not wish to indulge in an argument here but when you ponder over it, I'm not wrong. I would like to part with a Ethiopian proverb, "He who does not realise his inner disease should never expect to be cured".

As a student I think it is fine if teachers raise their voice once in a while but not all the time. Students need to realise that the person standing in front of them needs much more respect than they deserve.
Students don't actually mind teachers scolding them when they feel they deserve it. It's only when teachers raise their voice, or shut down the student's voice, or ridicule them to demand respect, that students lose respect for the teacher.
My favourite teacher in school was one who would always let me make my point in class even if I disagreed with her, and would only scold me when I disturbed the class while in session.

neeraja unni I am happy to tell you that I am Indian. My parents always respected my opinions, I am a willfull person so that gave them more reason to do so. That freedom of expression has made me a healthy individual. I will not say that my childhood has been perfect, nobody's has. But their upbringing did a lot to help my growth. I am a different person and never forced me to give into convention. In a society which rejects a woman-mind, body and soul; they have raised me to stand up for myself.
What makes me happier is that, there exist people like us who won't treat our children as we have been treated.

Nothing offensive about SC's and ST's here. It's the truth. SC and ST quota is Grade A donkey crap. Talent and knowledge of an individual is what should matter. Quota should be based on how much parents earn and not by Caste system. Jeez, because of this, SC and ST people are richer and FC/OC are poorer.
You obviously don't know that 30% of Indian population(the so called upper caste people) owns 75% of Indian lands and over 90% of India's top jobs.
It is not that SCs and STs are richer... They are getting richer slowly. A very small percentage of the SCs, STs, and OBCs have reeked the benefits of the Affirmative Action. If the upper castes are getting less money than before it is just a way to equalize resources and bring people into equal social status. Thousands of years of discrimination is not going to disappear in just a few decades. What is needed is participation by the OCs in the fight against Casteism and not Reservation.

I agree that Reservation is not the perfect solution, but at the same time this is the only other alternative provided to people who have been continuously enduring discrimination for millenniums. If it was "Separate Electorates", Casteism may have loosened its hold a little but I doubt that discrimination would have stopped. It is not up to the people from the backward classes to stop discrimination, the power lies in the hands of the upper caste people. Unless that happens they have no choice but to fight back discrimination and rebel against the present social order to take what should be rightfully theirs.

Why can't there be a way in which the SC/ST certificate can only be used once and no more? If reservation is provided to one member of the family and they're lifted up to the level of, say the general class, then why should the second generation STILL be favoured? They don't need to provide reservation again and again to generations and generations!
ALL RESERVATIONS SHOULD BE REMOVED. No care if you are a SC or ST because if u have a great mind and potential of doing something, nothing can stop you regardless of your cast. But some people need financial help which can be sorted out. BUT NO RELAXATION ON CUT-OFF MARKS.

All these things soon will become the new normal or have become the new normal. Yeah they were ahead of their time but there is still a time limit. For example. This video speaks about donations and basically getting into colleges and reservations. But due to the digital revolution today any teacher can teach you any subject for any number of hours for free or paid and there is nobody stopping you. It doesnt matter you belong to a rural area or an urban area. It doesnt matter if you belong to an iit or a generic 3rd grade college.

This is really emotional video parents should watch this video and realize how it feels when they do same to kids. Parents keep pressuring kids, interfering in their every choice and almost all kids arw frustrated feom young age. Really parents should see n learn. AIB is always unique for presenting every important serious matter in unique and effective way. There are 4 CZcams channels which are my fav and all of them are unique in their own way. AIB is from future. Excellent acting, very good content and can pull off any stories in extraodinary way and never get disappointed from u guys in fact i always get a suprise.
