This little cactus man is fantastic, I'm really enjoying all the different run options and possibilities this game has to offer. I can't wait to find out what else this game has to offer!

It’s really really hard to bring the damage back up when you just don’t take any damage upgrades

Actually, cutting your damage is better earlier, because when you take a damage upgrade, they are whole numbers and always round up.
So if you were to compare taking the same damage upgrades before and after a cut, you would find that taking them after leaves you with more damage.
(Though this is probably too much math for DF)
My favorite part of these runs is the moment half way through where DF just starts unintentionally picking all the worst options.

I've had several "nooooo..." moments, everything would work out fine if he just get a character that benefits from attack speed, damage and crits and just do that... since it's what he's going to do regardless of what character and items he picks anyway. For a second when the video started and I saw what character he picked I really thought he might finally go for low cd and aoe build.
At this point I believe he's picking the wrong things just to troll us.

DF, please redo this build and focus on cooldown. You can get it so that the cactus fires extremely rapidly. Also, when you had two cactus balls, it's because the cooldown resets after it finishes regardless of whether you actually fire it. So if you continuously move, you can actually save up those shots and fire them one after another
man, this guys plays for fun, not necessarily to do everything his fans says

another thing he couldve improved on is not getting the peirce when you critical hit because the cactus balls just bounced around and only exploded once they bounced off the edge three times, or the rare occurance of it not doing a crit, at which it there was still a bunch of bounces and pierces stacked up after so...

Also saying that the attack speed stacking is multiplied per upgrade, but then again thinking that stuff like "you deal 3 times less damage" would be counteracted by taking more damage first because it would have a lesser impact.

I find it funny that there's an ability that heals 1 before you dash and +3 dash, which by late game he's dashing around a lot, yet never gets. Might be worth getting
The Heal dash adds 30s base CD to dashes as well
@@alexritter370 But you just need to get the other upgrade that let's you recharge all dashes at once. Then you have dash on a 40 second cooldown (before reduction) but heal to full everytime you do it. And are far away from everything.
I like how DF never notices the quite obvious clues to what happens in game
case and point, the cooldown he had at the beginning that he threw a cactus whenever it went off
its better to get more base damage when you have high crit damage because it scales better as if you have 1000% crit damage, 1 base damage gives 10 damage
This character is a ton of fun, I recommend going for as much Cooldown as you can and using just enough attack speed to keep shooting out his balls
The reason you had 2 different damages was because at 11:30 you took Taunt which increases enemy speed by 30% and damage by 50% to enemies that are within the circle of the AoE. They'll also move at normal speed until the enter the AoE circle.
Maximum screen bounce is 2
Area of effect includes explosions, darts, slowdown aura, damage aura, etc. anything that literally has an area of effect.

A little info on the cactus bombs, they do double damage on contact, whether it explodes, bounces, or pierces.
Pro tip, in the top left right next to your bounty and character icon you can see all of the abilities you have. They slowly fill up with blue until there fully charged.

I love how DF focuses on attack speed. Bounce and pierce is terrible for this character. I love how he can play it so wrong but that's why i love watching him.

He is honestly terrible at pretty much every game and just brute forces everything. Its amusing to watch though.

I dont think he’ll ever, ever, ever ever ever ever, choose cooldown reduction in any form over a small increase in damage.
Is there a dash cap? You could theoretically build a dash build that pushed cooldown reduction. Never stop dashing at the end. Add explosions when and after you dash and you're set.
Also add the ability that heals for 1 when you dash, and you'd basically be immortal.
I really want this game, DF makes it look super fun
Cool build idea: get the hurricane thing where projectiles fly around you, get cooldown and piercing so they stay longer, and use cactus guy since he has an ability. (The piercing means that the orbiting projectiles can hit more)
The extra bounce and pierce upgrades help late game get deeper into the hoards.
You keep skipping it, when it really helps dig deeper with each shot
Try turning off damage numbers ro reduce lag, it worked perfectly for me
I wish he’d grab damage upgrade to scale with the crit damage because more base damage = insane crit damage. And when like every shot is a crit, well…

Cooldown reduction is the opposite of diminishing returns. It actually is accelerated returns.
Going from 1 second cooldown to 0 second would be an increase of infinity speed, so the way to understand this is that the closer you get to 0 cooldown, the more insane your speed gets because it is approaching infinity.
That would be the case if the cooldown reductions were applied additively, but they are not.The cooldown reductions are multipliers applied to the current value, which in turn means that the return of investment remains linear in value all else being equal.
For example, picking 4x 10% cooldown reduction does not go from 100>90>80>70>60, but rather goes from 100>90>81>72,9>65,6

the cactus work on cooldown, it turns your next attack to cactus, if you didn't fire it, it will turn the next-next attack, so on and so forth; with the right amount of cooldown, you can essentially shoot out cactus in every attack.
Basically the cacti projectiles are based on a timer and if you don't fire them then they build up and that's why you shot more than one at a time
You should have switched to increasing your base damage once you got about 500% crit damage as the base damage increase is a percentage increase to your base damage.
yeah when he got the upgrade to increase his critical damage to 1150% I don't know how much the damage upgrade would of brought him to but if it was 43 or higher he would of done more damage than the crit upgrade did.
You could probably choose one or two stats to purposefully not increase so when you get an option for an item that reduces your dump stat, you take it. Then at the end of the run, focus on increasing your dump stats with levels and only taking items that have no negatives.
It is just a thought but it sounds like it could make for an exponentially powerful build
You know it’s gonna be a banger when the first thing that comes out of DF’s mouth is ‘gain a lot more damage’

its really hard to see the cactus spread when you keep making it harder to trigger
the cactus if you can read says its a 8sec cooldown also if you get little friend any damage gain is 3 times less
love how df never notices the cooldowns in the top left on the stats page
i feel like the lore of this guy is he has two personalities the first one is a guy who never thinks before he acts and thats who we are seeing and his other personality is his editor a person how has to look at all the stuff he did and try to put it to good use he would be like a parent to a child

I feel like DF should have started to work on his AOE. The pickup range would have helped him collect coins and hearts while he kept his distance. I know that he dislikes picking the AOE, but I feel that if made a build around that it would help him survive long enough to kill his PC.
I think if you increased damaged just a bit the crit damaged eoulf have heavily increased

at your stats as ollin has a cooldown upon spawning thats your cactus you can save them up
It would be hilarious to see you do a glass cannon lode out (ps that means very high damage so like you always have to pick damage and very low hp)

DF please… PLEASE do more base damage when you get ur crits high like that!
Let’s say you have 20 base damage and 500% crit damage
20 * 500% = 100
Between the choice of increasing your base damage by 10 points or adding 100% crit damage, the 10 points is better because
30 * 500% = 150
But
20 * 600% = 120
You would need 3 of those 100% crit damage upgrades for it to be better than that ONE 10 point damage upgrade
(20 * 800% = 160)

Im not sure but the piercing and bounces probably increase the amount of times it can hit an enemy while in your orbit. But again I'm not sure.
the cactus are an ability that u can stack, so cooldwon reducion is the way to go to fire more cactus, plz bring back this character with a cdr build

I plaied this last night and got him doing 20k per shot and down to 12% CD and with 14 dashes And a lot of other stuff. Got to the point i could not kill anything
is an attack speed of 27.3 enough cause in my run I had that and 72 damage and still died

This hero dont need bounce - it lower his damage a lot. He need cooldown reduction, so he will spam this bombs like crazy.
Never take the +60% crit. That screws you over hard. All damage upgrades in the future are affected by the damage reduction modifier
The purple crits are probably double crits since you have over 100% crit chance
If you choose him agin and get the 5 pierce but reduce by 30% speed when your cactus 🌵 comes back to you are the cactus with the bunch of darts

I really like watching him play this game but the one major drawback for me is that each run eventually just becomes "atk speed + crit chance" regardless of whatever other options he has
