yes you can get 3 harbor freight predators for the price of 1 honda engine but the honda will outlast all 3 predators without breaking so if you need an engine for extended running the honda is worth the money.

Hey brother, just picked one of these up from northern tool as well! Want to put this in a bycicle, (would’ve gone smaller if I could’ve) Anyways, the manual doesn’t say anything about breaking it in... does it not need to be broken in???

I would run it moderately for 4-5 hours on fresh oil and then change it asap. Then run it 15-25 hours and change it again. Use small engine synthetic, get Amsoil if possible. You will have one happy running engine that will last a long time.
