This trap might not be as difficult or gory as other traps, but the idea of having your eyeballs sucked into a tube is HAUNTING! The sight of the tubes attached to the eyes is pure horror, which is why they used it as the poster. It's awesome and effective (not to mention, to use it as the " X " in the title, which is obvious lol )
when you watch this in theaters it's extremely sad to find out this trap isn't real and it's just a vision John has. He runs into the janitor at the hospital and watches him looking like he's about to steal from a patient, and has this vision of putting him in this trap. When it's over and we're back in reality, the guy chooses not to take anything and John simply tells him "good choice." So none of this was real and I was very disappointed since this was the movie poster trap. But also it was such an easy one to do. I woulda flipped that dial to five and broken all my fingers so fast.
The thing he did wrong was to turn the dial 1 by 1, because that lets you feel the pain of which you’ll have to endure 9 more times (for both hands), it would have been better to do it in one go for all or maybe 5 fingers of one hand just so u can catch your breath and get some help from the adrenaline and then do the other 5

Kerry in Saw III was tested for living an empty life dedicated to her work and nothing else. In Saw IV, Morgan was tested for not leaving her abusive husband. Hank in Saw VI was because he was a smoker with heart disease. It's not just about if you're a bad person. Jigsaw targets people if in his eyes they don't appreciate their life or the lives of others. "Most people are so ungrateful to be alive. But not you. Not anymore."

Without context it seems this janitor stole something so the question is if his fingers are worth more than his eyes. It is painful but fingers will heal. in 2014 i broke all my fingers and was 3 weeks in bandages and 5 weeks physical therapy, making a total of 2 months recovery, but it was way worse than him
Dude got LUCKY. Just turn the dial and get it over with. Sure your fingers will break but its WAY BETTER THAN GETTING YOUR EYES SUCKED OUT. Its and easy trap. But jigsaw did not tell him his fingers will get broken.
I'd rotate that frickin button to five so fast. The problem with some of the "players" in John's games (which are NOT rigged, unlike those created by his apprentices) is that they act so slow that the pain gets to them in increments, and it makes them hesitate more. I woulda done a rip-a-bandaid-off approach.
Just remember he has only 60 SECONDS, going through the pain of breaking each of your fingers in 60 second is the real challenge to me, and i might be wrong but i dont think turning the dial in one go is an option

The problem with some of the "players" in John's games (which are NOT rigged, unlike those created by his apprentices) is that they act so slow that the pain gets to them in increments, and it makes them hesitate more.
