#LoriLoughlin #CollegeAdmissionsScandal #OliviaJade - Zábava
This whole situation will always be ridiculous to me. Lori and Mossimo had more than enough money to hire tutors over the years so their daughters could get the grades to EARN a college education.
Exactly. Sunny Hostin from The View asked "how mediocre must you be to have access to the best education but still not be able to get into a top university on your own merit?
They didn't even have to do that. So many high profile universities will allow you to "donate" your kids' way in. They could have built a new wing of the library or something at whichever place they wanted their kids to attend.
On top of all that, before she even began college Olivia was already having the type of business success that people hope to gain after getting a degree. This whole thing was about two privileged, stuck up rich people who felt like their kids just weren't good enough as they were, so they paid someone to falsify a scenario that they felt they could brag about.
Thank you both for your responses!
*From what I’ve read, it was more so forcing her daughter into something she didn’t really want to do. But I agree, I don’t know why a donation couldn’t have been used*
I know that Bella and Olivia (or just Olivia) weren’t all that interested in going to college, which makes the situation even worse. Their parents could and should have taught them the value of an education as they were growing up.
Interesting how people like to pretend that Olivia Jade didn't know full well what her parents were doing. Glad these ladies are calling her out.
Right it's like. The Girl knew that she is not a rower! She knew what was going on. Don't you still have to have an interview for college? I would think that someone would have asked her about rowing.
People don't always know what their parent's are doing. I speak on that because I experienced that since I was a victim of attempted rape and exploitation as a kid. To this very day because of those situations I am in a human trafficking program and the things happening right after that and before I aged out of fostercare were done to me because of who I am and who I am related to. I wouldn't know about a situation if the police involvement happened while I was underaged. In my situation, that is the case.
We all judge and want to know things that are none of our business. Who is to say that nothing happened to the daughter? That is why, in order to get help she has to take on a crime that people who don't want to help are hiding? The possibilities with some people are endless of what they will do to others to survive. Its so hypocritical.
@@Cantetinza17 Or she's in witness protection for some reason. Usually they give credentials to anyone in those situations. Maybe fraud? I don't know. Those are the only things I can think of. Nowadays anyone can blackmail anyone into silence. From what i've noticed about my own situation.
@@IamMichelle88 but she did know bc she lied abt being on the rowing team
Give it a rest the girl was only 17, do you expect a teenager to educate her adult parents. You people are lacking brain cells.
This season has really been refreshing with the choice of topics
Definitely a lot more depth
Yes👏🏾
Yes less superficial
Agreed
I'm glad Loni mentioned Felicity Hoffman, because she/her family had the same allegations against them. But she did the right thing in response to the situation. She was remorseful/apologized, she did what time they gave her (if you'd like to call it that), and she also paid in full for the students (that got there on their own grades/merit) who would otherwise be scraping, scrounging and struggling to pay for their education in those schools. Lori Loughlin on the other hand, refused and defied it all. And still chose to use her privilege in the situation. We see you Aunt Becky.
And don't Lori going to her court date like she was going to a red carpet.
@@citydweller99 That's right she sure did. I forgot about that.
Exactly there was no remorse from Lori. Felicity owned what she did while Lori continued to act like it was no big deal and she indeed got off with a slap on the wrist. I am glad these ladies kept it real about Lori and Olivia because both are being rewarded.
I think Loni was dope mentioning her bcuz she's really remorseful & sincere about what she did was wrong...
I felt for Felicity. One of her daughter's had a serious learning disability and the other was an over-achiever. In her own way, I think she really wanted the one with the learning disability to succeed. Felicity just went about it the wrong way.
Remember the mom who gave the wrong zip code to send her kid to a better school . She’s still in prison. Zip code white rich privilege
I was just about to say this !!! Facts
So what's the reasoning about all the black artists who have served time for worse criminal charges?
How have the found success in the same industry?
@@personaldove what ?
@@personaldove that’s mainly rap that has nothing to do with black ppl Lori is a privelaged white women
@@person8520 Remy Ma shot a woman and left her bleeding to death.
She's back in the game and has a reality show now and even got invited to the Real.
Sounds like its the same thing for me.
Rap or acting are both entertainment regardless.
What people don’t get is it’s not even so much about race, rather than power. These are very powerful people. And people saying “she did her time move on” no she did not. If a poor person or a person of a lesser class did this, they would be sent to prison for YEARS. Not months. And they would be listed as a felon and probably wouldn’t be able to get another job. So yea, it’s messed up that they got a slap on the wrist. They literally committed fraud and got away with it.
true power is the keyword. Although many people in western societies such as the US, white people and lighter skinned often occupy most of the positions of power. As well as men.
If the power exists mostly within one race then it is in fact about race
All of these things can be true at once. Race does play a part, but over all as you said, it's ultimately money being the power, which leads to all these things.
They are not powerful people!! Or they wouldn’t have been charged!! Power player’s move different!!
I agree with you, of a rich powerful black person did that, they’d get a slap on the wrist as well.
They should’ve made them pay for someone else’s education. Someone who got in based on merit but couldn’t afford to go in addition to a real jail sentence not the slap on the wrist they received.
Yes. They should’ve done this on their own💔
Right...500k worth of scholarships.
@@knoname1092 yup. A few of the parents who got caught in this scandal paid 6 to 7 figures to get their kids into schools.
I agree 👏🏾
Idk why they didn't. My mind is blown 🤯😵
This is a side note and completely off topic, but I LOVE Adrienne’s sweater in this segment! I want one. 😍
Not with those brown trousers though
I actually like the brown trousers
Cute af! I need it!
Adrienne's top is beautiful! I low-key wish you could touch the screen on your phone and it tells you where she got it from.
And Garcelle’s top looks similar too. 🙂
On red table talk Olivia said a lot about how she wants to give back and help those who can’t afford education… but we’ve yet to see any of that unless she did it privately, which I doubt. So I agree it would make it much better if she ended up donating what she made from DWTS. Because as of now it seems like she’s just trying to leave it all behind without helping in the ways she can and said she would.
Of course she is going to say that for tv
@@yogaqueen1527 I know, but I mean she should ideally still keep her word, especially if she used that to make people forgive her.
@@LY-wl3uf she is young, pretty, privileged, rich and white. She is already forgiven.
She’s full of crap and more self obsessed and conceited than before
I remember seeing a comment that said they should’ve brought a student that applied to USC the same year Olivia did on the red table talk and let them have a discussion.
"3?! 30!!" 🤣 I love Adrienne !!! Totally agree with her on this 😂
straight up facts on this one. I came here thinking they'd be like "people grow, people change" nope. adrienne brought the toxic industry in this. YES
True but Felicity did do the right thing though she owned up to it..
I never knew who Olivia Jade was until the college admission scandal.
The Real has stepped up their game!! I'm here for the honest conversations! This is what they've been claiming for years....now they're doing it!
Side note. Love Loni's makeup! That pink shimmer eyeshadow look suits her so well
She looks great!
But, what sis go to prison for? Lbs
jeannie is glowing. i remember her being a little timid and tryna find her way, now she seems fully aware and strong af
The most ironic thing is that their kids didn’t even NEED a college education to get ahead! They stole spaces from those who really earned it! Disgusting!
I just love how Garcelle and Loni were looking at each other lol..like we see each other!
I love all their views on this topic. Aunt Becky and her daughter want us of all to forget and act like nothing ever happened.
I love how much more real they're getting with topics
I was so surprised when I found out Olivia was on DWTS.
They got a slap on the wrist
I’ve never seen a single Olivia Jade CZcams video and I don’t know anyone that has. I think the way CZcams boosts certain creatives is also questionable.
Seeing as how the “time served” was so ridiculous, no! It’s too soon. Period. If they had actually gotten the appropriate punishment then sure, I’m all about forgiving because they served their time.
Felicity only served 11 days and you people have it out for Lori and her husband who served 2 and 5 months.
@@McDonough_Georgia YES! Thank you! How much time do folks think is appropriate? This was not a violent crime and a first offense. People are so dumb. What they did was wrong but damn.....

I love Jeanine
Jeanie : Did she do the time ? I’m just asking questions 😂
Adrienne and Garcelle with the peek-a-boo tops 😍
They look so good 😍
All these lady’s this season are looking like fire …. Beautiful ladies
I have a problem with it because she and her husband fought tooth and nail against punishment and didn’t at all appear to be sorry for it at all! But I doesn't matter and I’m not surprised at all that Hallmark and that apple pie show was going to bring her back on once they thought enough time had past for people to forget and accept her face on tv again.
On the Red Table Talk, Olivia says “me and my parents are super close, especially me and my mom” but your telling me you didn’t know? hmm
I cannot get enough of these ladies fits they always look so beautiful😍
So right. Thank you The Real Crew
Yes, this is not a race issue, this is a power issue. I feel bad for Felicity Huffman because she owned up to her mistakes and did her time, for LL I’ve lost respect for her.
This conversation is all of my thoughts exactly! I feel like Olivia just says the things that her PR person has rehearsed with her to say. It seems so phony. She need to take as much responsibility as her parents. She wasn't forced against her will to stage a photo shoot on a rowing machine. At least with Felicity Huffman, her remorse felt real. I don't see any remorse from Lori and her husband. They did their time in jail and now they expect everyone to just forget about the whole situation.
Yess!! Thank you!! In complete agreement with Jeannie and Adrienne. Was so disappointed with Daily Pop‘s previous coverage on this topic when Olivia Jade got DWTS. Truly expected more of an objective and real opinion concerning the wrongs that were perpetrated and continue to be brushed aside due to this particular family’s undeniable and disturbing privilege. But thank you ladies for actually keeping it REAL.
Lonnie “ooohhh NOOO!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tks for saying that about Felicity Huffman, I felt the remorse.
It’s funny to see Garcelle being conservative after watching her on Power when Ghost blew her back out in the most vigorous way. Lol
I didn’t see that lol
Being conservative? I don’t see it
Chile are you thinking of Lala? Cus when was Garcelle on Power👀
Garcelle wasn't on power LOL.

Excellent points, Ladies!
Having a job shouldn’t be considered a privilege, no matter the income level anyone should be able to work
Why is Olivia Jade even on dancing with the stars? It’s so disappointing
I love the shower more and more , you guys are “on”! I almost felt like I was in church today !! Jumped up snd shouted a few times lol 😂 I also went away feeling positive 😇👍🏽 great job ladies and I have to say that today loni looked absolutely perfect!!!!! Loni you get today’s star trophy….you looked like perfection today !!!!
Or is it a second chance after serving her punishment??
Why we have to make sure we are happy with the time allotted for a crime.
they listened and did something about the lightening in the studio. it seems more brighter now.
Ok so my issue with this entire situation when it comes to people with power and money that are white… I hate to say it… but they easily are given the chance to not look at the past and try to redeem themselves so we can “ put this all behind us “ … yet if a Black person with or without money did this same exact thing and served time for committing this crime… they would be marginalized or ostracized even further because of having this kind of scandal attached to their name and not be allowed to work or it would be hard for them to be back in society ! And that just me keeping it real ! The fact that it’s been two years and all of a sudden now we want to be forgiving… I was already annoyed with Olivia being interviewed on Red Table Talk taking “ accountability “ in front of three generations of black women thinking she could fool us with the pretty privileged naive white girl act… and then now she’s on DWTS… what u do going forward is ur business but I also have the right not to support and speak out and not be a consumer because of the wack stuff you did ! I don’t care about them getting roles or being able to open up on reality shows & performing ! I wanna see what could they do in relation to this scandal to give back to the students or help those who truly wanted to be in the school fair and square
Ditto!
Exactly
You said it the best 👏🏼
I completely agree with you.
Are you oblivious to the serious crimes and criminal records of most Hip Hop artists in the industry?
Please don't be deliberately ignorant.
They want to punish her forever. And what was her big crime? Trying to get her daughter into a good college.
Jeannie is prego?!? Where the hell have I been? She looks so amazing!! Congradulations to Jeannie and Jeezy!!
Lol she's in her second trimester yep it was unexpected but happy for her and Jeezy 😊
Fr 😂😂😂😂😂
You're only late by a few weeks. I believe she announced it when she was about 5 months and now she is 6 months pregnant.
I shocked Hallmark took her back, but she didn’t kill anybody so…
I heard it’s a spin-off or something. On a different network. But still wrong.
I wouldn’t be surprised if their ratings went down too. People probably going to start a petition to get her kicked off the show again!
@@jujubee6030 Dream on I bet their ratings go up. Think about it you clicked on this channel captioned "Lori".
I felt the same way about that actor on Empire after he faked being attacked and he still kept his job.
She paid her debt. She did her time. It aint like she murdered someone or sold them
drugs. So one mistake and she should never act again?
100% agree! If she didn’t serve time, people would be upset and if she served time, people are still upset- can’t win. People need to move on to more important topics. Olivia is clearly more interested in the arts and personally think she is a great dancer. She’s working hard at it and reflects in her performances
Awarding bad behavior. Draw a line in the sand, my values won't let me watch them.
👍🏾
This season is a breath of fresh air 😍🤩
According to the court of public opinion How long should someone be punished and who decides that amount of time.
Since it’s this family the so called “kids” aren’t to blame for anything. Like they’re old enough to know what’s wrong or not.
I personally don’t know anyone who knew who Olivia Jade was before this happened. Maybe we don’t watch makeup tutorials or whatever she makes videos on. But it seems INSANE to me that she’s now at the status of the other celebrities (ala, our very own Jeannie Mai) to be on Dancing with the STARS! She’s not a star!! I agree with the hosts, their status is definitely a representation of white privilege that is still very apparent in our society.
There’s a lot of people that are like “oh well she didn’t kill anybody” and that’s true. But what they did was wrong. And the part that pisses me off is that she was like “I didn’t do anything a mother wouldn’t do for their child.” What kind of message or lesson is that? There are plenty of mothers who want their kids to work/earn their way into college not buy their way in. The fact that you don’t have faith in your kids to get in on their own intelligence says alot ab what kind of mother she is. I understand that life goes on but let’s not act like what she did was okay. Her reputation is forever ruined whether she continues to work or not.
The ladies outfits are on 10 today! Nice!
I love everything they said here and fully agree
Olivia is just as guilty as her parents. Did she really think she could get into that school on her own? And now participating in DWTS is just her getting things she didn't work for.
These lady’s are such hypocrites.
LOL Exactly black rich women judging white rich women.
I'm seriously impressed by these ladies. I feel as if they've all grown some more and really do some real talk.
So if someone does wrong no matter who they are they never have a chance to make it up and redeem themselves. Everyone deserves a chance to make amends and live a new and improved life.
The point is to have and show genuine remorse which they didn’t do. Like they said Felicity Huffman was genuine and served her time. Lori and Olivia was like what’s the big deal doesn’t everyone do this? And fought in court as not guilty until they saw they weren’t going to win then changed their tune. Then after getting out while on parole asking to go on vacation to Mexico. Olivia saying she just wants her life back.
@@michelleelmore5533 Felicity also plead not guilty in the beginning she only plead guilty when they were going to give an 11-day sentence. If Lori plead guilty from the beginning she was looking at doing 1-2 years in prison. This is how the justice systems works, clearly you have no idea what you are talking about and why wouldn't Olivia not want to get her life back, is she supposed to hide forever just because people like you don't like her.
why was olivia jade even given an opportunity to be on DWTS? That's a mess up on DWTS' side!
What a joke 🙄 to society and family TV. A cheating felon setting a poor example for our
Audience, that's sick 😫
I hope that no one watches the show Lori will be on. She doesn't deserve to be able to be in the spotlight anymore. She is a disgrace. Also, she is not such a great actress, and there are others who deserve the role. PLEASE don't watch the show - let's show Hallmark that they've made a very bad decision in letting her return. Also, let's boycott the sponsors.
Is it me or saying wack, is actually wack lol
She did her time. Just because she has made a name for herself with tons of hard work before making this huge mistake, and that name allows her to go back to work shortly after doing her time, why is that wrong
I just came from an unrelated recommended video that was so divisive that it had my blood boiling.
In contrast, these ladies are always so reasonable. I feel better now. Lol
I LOVE gracelle on the show. She fits so well
This is so off-topic; but I love the colour combination today 👌👌😘😘
I would say pay for someone who can’t afford to go. I mean pay everything. Dorms books and food. And whatever comes with it
Garcelle 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 ALWAYS on point!!!!!! The only way to make a difference is to be loud and keep the conversation out there!
To be honest. Ok they do that and then what. It's nobody on the green earth that will be satisfied with the amount of punishment said person receives. They said she should go to prison. She did that. Said she should to community service. She did that. Said she should pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines. She did that. Now she should pay tuition. 🤔 ok if she did that will that then be enough? Idk just asking. When is enough enough? And when are u done paying your debt to society?
Thank you! Even wealthier people don’t get caught doing this bc they have enough power.
They really want Lori to suffer. Nothing she does will be suitable enough.
Whats meant to be will be. If it was meant for another student to have had Olivias spot at USC then THAT student would have gotten it. Because our steps are ordered and no one, and I mean NO ONE can alter your God-given path. And in my opinion anyone would pay to have their child in a particular school if they had the money. Don’t tell me that bribery isn’t all over the place. 🤣🤣
@@Sarah3944 this exactly this.... 💯
I think really it's the fact she don't seem remorseful for what she did.....I mean she went to prison for a couple months, paying Affordable fines etc. And now she back working making millions again. Without so much as a I'll pay for someone's college tuition. Etc .....and again if that was someone of color rich or not the results would be alot different! She didn't get enough punishment I agree with that.....but I also agree with the fact it has alot to do with money and power. A middle class or less person would be done for, years in prison , felony record and unable to work which is terrible but it's reality. Especially for people of color and/or people less fortunate.
N fyi that student WOULD HAVE gotten it had Lori and her family not interfered! That has nothing to do with God. That has to do with somebody who got something they didn't deserve and they got it a malicious way....doesn't matter if you rich or poor fraud and bribery is a crime.
The fine was extremely low compared to how much they paid to get a kid that did not want to go to college in. I think it would have been just if she was made to pay 500k, same amount she paid for fraud.

LOVED this! Yes accountability on both the mum AND Olivia. Flat out No if a Black family did this they would have been crucified. That has actually happened when this news broke out everyone gave a comparison to a similar story but only difference is that family was black and wasn't really trying to be sneaky or fraudulent but yet the consequences they had to endeavour was far MORE greater than this privileged family!
If the black family had money...they would also have light sentences like Aunt Becky.
@City Dweller I see what you mean but I still feel regardless if they were rich 100% they wouldn't be welcome back so easily with a pool of opportunities like nothing ever happened, such as the mum straight away had an acting gig and her daughter is on dancing with the stars😕
@@ma_5756 Are you slow or just don't get it. If you are a celebrity despite your color why wouldn't you have opportunities, stop playing the race card this isn't 1960's
It’s a shame that this tv show seems it’s ok to reward such horrendous behavior as Lori Laughlin did. Use to love the show but my family and friends and I have decided she’s not worth our time! They cheated they do t deserve anything but scorn! They took positions from kids who deserved it not their useless vane daughters! Too bad
Idk if paying for education/donating would help..I think people would find it performative
Who cares if people find it performative? By their actions someone who was more deserving lost their spot at a school because they cheated and stole it. For some people, the future of their entire family depends on them getting an education.
I guess it's the best way to give back to the kind of people whose opportunities you stole. At this point, it's about the end result (providing opportunities), not the intention as that's something we will never truly be able to know.
She was never in prison. She did 60 days in protective custody. Poor baby. She learned less than nothing.
Anyone else that comes out of prison is marred by social stigmas to the extend that they usually have to take some of the worst types of jobs. Slapping this family on the wrist, then giving them gourmet cakes essentially is gross misconduct that just perpetuates the cycle of systemic abuse rich people are willing to do because they know they're above actual consequences.
Yeah. Going to prison and paying the state money, does nothing for justice of righting the wrongs they did to students that got screwed over, that could have gone to that school, and possibly changed the trajectory of their lives. Starting a scholarship for actual deserving kids that could have gone if they had the financial means would have done more for justice.
Aunt Becky has been tone-deaf through it all...
Olivia knew 100%.
People who serve time are allowed to go back to work. She went back to doing what she has been doing for many years. Acting. No different than the rappers that serve time and go back to rapping after being released.
Rewarding bad behavior? Your kidding right? 4 words. Catch me outside girl.
Look I get the imbalance of the justice system. But come on.
What irks me is that the girl Olivia never wanted to even go to college. She kept of saying that on her CZcams page. The parents were trying to force and education on her that she didn't deserve and was not interested in.
We all make mistakes! Let the man upstairs be the judge 🙏
This is ridiculous, you need to move on, how can you wish for someone not to be able to work? The truth is most parents would have done what she did for their child if given a chance. The fact that she has money is what rubbed people wrong, if this was someone who was struggling the conversation would be different. She's not a serial killer, people need to give people a chance to do better, otherwise whats the point of the system?
No, them having money never rubbed us wrong. It’s how they used that money that rubbed us wrong. They haven’t even done as much as start a scholarship, something they could do easily. I’ve seen no actions to prove that they care about anything other than their reputations being blown.
