The idea of the horned helmet as a symbol of Viking warriors is a modern invention, rather than an accurate historical representation. But thanks for pointing it out.- The popular image of Vikings wearing horned helmets can be traced back to the 19th century, when Viking folklore and mythology experienced a surge of interest and fascination. Artists and writers began to depict Vikings wearing elaborate costumes, including horned helmets, in their works. Also It is believed that the horned helmet may have been inspired by the ceremonial helmets worn by Germanic tribes, such as the Suebi and the Cimbri, who were contemporaries of the Vikings.

Some bronze age Scandinavians had helmets with horns that were used in religious practices but that was much earlier. Vikings absolutely didn't have war helmets set with horns. Perhaps helmets that were part of ritual costumes but even that isn't 100% confirmed.
