- Finally got around to showing off the footage from the Bass Raider since day 1 of the build. This little boat has been so fun to work on and take to the lakes. Easy to load, and budget friendly for sure. Just depends how crazy you want to get with your mods. List of gear below.

This is what i love to own. Thanks for uploading. Many days i tried to search , at last this is the one i like most.
Love it! I am a DIY fishing junkie and your video came out super nice. Wish had that setup. Clean and neat and rigged up beautifully
You changed my mind about getting a kayak. You did a awesome job! Clean and well thought out. Good job!
Very impressive, much more customized than I made mine. I just throw the paddle and everything else at my feet. Even if you had to get a new hull, it looks like most of that can be easily transferred over and redrilled. I did more to my trailer for the boat than the boat itself!
Great job on choosing the best mods for your boat. I’m gonna have to copy some of them for my boat. Thanks for sharing
Really like your setup, so after a year in a inflatable kayak, that was killing my back I decided to get me a 10E too. My problem was there none in Phoenix AZ so last Saturday I drove 430 miles to El Paso TX to pick one up from Academy Sports. You have the best setup on the Tube so I’m hoping to get mine done up like yours. Just picked up Mercury 2.5 and Minn Kota 40 lb trolling motor. The Amazon boxes are show up now so it won’t be long before I’m on the water too. Thanks for your videos!
So glad I was able to inspire you. I also look forward to getting on the water soon. Take some video to of your build. Exciting for sure when all the gear starts arriving. Cheers!
Awesome job . Just sold my full-size boat and the simplicity here not to mention no boat payment is awesome!
Great job on all the modifications. Very nice work. Thanks for sharing.
You, sir, have mad skills.....awesome mods.....
Great job on all of the mods, really looks great!
I used this motor on my SunDolphin SunSlider paddle boat, czcams.com/users/postUgkxBZWgzfpS2Jj7JqIHyaSZjyVHNUgCKCBf as a substitute for peddling. i've used it once so far. My boats weight capacity is 545lbs. This 36ft lbs thrust motor propelled our little crew with ease. My friend, son and myself weigh 371 lbs combined, plus the weight of equipment. I truly enjoyed the little motor, it was super easy to install and works well. The motor itself is pretty lightweight. I will need to use it more to be able to comment on quality/durability. Many of the touch points are plastic which feels a bit cheap, but this is my first trolling motor so I don't know if this is normal. Considering the price point it's probably what you should expect. All in all I believe I got what I paid for and it does what I've asked of it. I would recommend. Kayak's, Canoe's, Small Dinghy's and Paddle Boats, I think its suitable for these applications.
Awesome build man. Just picked up a 10E today. Cool to see what people are doing with em.
You are a champ...great job...this is pride at it's best...awesome work✌
Awesome built out, the ultimate quick deploy fishing boat that gets where the big boat guys cant. Also props on filming and editing. keep it up.
Matt Thank you checking out the build.
You didn’t spend to much on if your happy with it
I’m happy for you that you did it and to have someone that likes going out on the water fishing with you
Have a VERY GREAT TIME !!:-)
It's so nice to see a fellow Pelican Bass Raider owner post such a detailed video. Thank you so much for sharing the info. The quality of your video is top notch and your mods are super dope! I'll certainly be borrowing a few of these ideas. I've been scouting prices and models for a good outboard match. After seeing your video I'm convinced that the Suzuki 2.5 is the way to go.
Vj O thank you for your nice comment. I enjoyed this little boat very much, but have since sold it and moved on to another. I would like to get another small boat for electric only bodies of water. Have a great day and happy fishing 🎣
Nice build! I’m considering giving up my Nucanoe F12 for one of these. Thanks for all of the cool ideas. 🎣
Great job. Looks very well equipped for some good fishing.
That's a great looking rig! I need to get back to mine and finish it up.
Nice job on the mini boat. You gave me a lot of great ideas and something to shoot for...
Just got one myself… saved this video as a guide. Really like the set up. Thanks for the video!
No problem and hope you enjoy it.
See you live in NC. Sure hope that I get to see it up close one day. Great job!
I agree. Wished you would have made video on slow step by step how to run wiring through body without splitting boat in half. Love what you did. I've had several pelicans and sundolphin boats. Honestly, their mire fun and maneuverable than big bass trackers. I just back my truck into water at tailgate with truck running. Push boat off and reverse.
Love it! Job well done!
The best of the best. Great job ! Thanks !!
Pelican bass Raider looks outstanding great mods really nice video good job.fish on
love all the mods love pelican boats,my next purchase already have the catch 120.i also live in nc near Raleigh.
Absolutely stunning
Crap I truly LOVE your boat! I know you are proud and who could blame you it is as they say, "Like you like it".
Looks like a ‘military grade’ bass boat. Love it!
Insulting. “Lowest bidder” lol
Yak killer!!! Awesome job. I want to do a tiny boat project so bad!!
Thanks for the info...Still working my way through my new hobby called Bass Raider
Yes, a great video, and an awesome Bass Raider setup. Keep up the good work. Thanks fotr sharing amogo.
Just got a bass raider 10 e and I am trying to do this exact thing ! I love the cleanness of the boat . Very nice mods! I wish you did a video of how to do the wiring ! I am clueless !!!
I went into this wanting to see the mods I left thinking wow what a great vid production nice mods
Did similar to mine, all though not as many. Bought padded seats as part of the original purchase. Added a foot switch up front & spun the head around on the motorguide thruster 30 to make it bow mount. Handles wind better. Foot switch saves the tiller handle switch since you're not crankin it back & forth constantly. Also haul mine on an 8' flatbed carpeted utility trailer! Back it in just like a bass boat. Tried a 4hp air cooled outboard for about 15 minutes. Found it too awkward to twist around and steer it, plus it barely moved the boat with 2 large men in it. Sold the outboard immediately for $17 less than I paid for it. Not bad.😁
Superb piece of kit. So neat a tidy. Well worked out to what suits you and where. Thanks for sharing Ray K UK 🇬🇧 YNWA.
Very awesome looking boat at a decent price point.
Cool video. Love your camera shots and editing.
Cleanest mods I’ve seen...well done!
Man you did an awesome job. I want to buy one and now I will. I’m 330lbs Pro Athlete and hate having big boats I have to repair all the time. So this would be nice for me.
I hear ya. I like medium size boats though. Only problem is having to store larger boats and worry about damage in areas. I will be able to pan fish and crappie in areas with a lot of lawdowns and lake feeding creeks. I'm not a pro athlete but a pro crappie eater. 😆
Awesome video! Love what you did with your Bass Raider!
Great mods... I’m thinking of getting one myself now.
Nice build man
Great job and great video. Thanks for the comment on the shaft length. I still found myself watching your new video trying to determine how deep the cav plate is in relation to the hull/pontoon bottoms. It bothers me about having to raise it 1/2 inch and I don't like the pitch (or lack of pitch) of the transom - but that's Pelican's fault. I like the idea of the battery and the gas engine in the back, but once I remove my front battery (I carry 2 now), it seems like a lot of weight in the back - especially when driving it on gas with no passenger. I really like what you did with the front rod holders to get rid of the standard stock vertical mounts. Overall, the best Pelican videos on the web. Thanks for the help.
Thanks so much for the comments. I have not had to use the small plywood block on the Suzuki motor since the first run. I do not use reverse much when out on the water, so the shaft rub on the rubber edge of the boat does not rub down. I plan on adding a second recessed pole holder on the starboard side. I like to have one on each side for trolling.
Nice job editing 👍
Great vid I like this kind of stuff. 👍🏻 Just subbed
best job I ve seen
This thing is sick I love it
Hell of a job
Nice rig. Very clean!
You have made some great mods to your Raider. After reading the comments, I realize that you have sold it. However, after looking through your videos , what I was hoping to find were videos of how you did the things you did. There are countless videos of Raider modifications on CZcams, but very little tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome work man!!
I have to say, the creativity is what led to all these good things, never let appreciate for imagination go to the wayside... cheers brother!
Very nice setup.
This is sick... love it
Great video… cool-ass little boat man.
You got it going on there buddy. I like it.
You can put the transducer on top of the the trolling motor just in front of the blade, just use a high quality zip tie.
Nicely done.
Very nice video! Good resolution shot with a pretty steady hand, not panning too fast enabling me to see what I was trying to see without struggling. Well edited, good use of music too (not too much or too loud). Good content, well done. You have earned yourself a subscriber. Thanks for the video and keep them coming. I would like to see more of what you do with your Bass Raider.
I watched this video because I have been considering getting a Pelican Bass Raider 10E as well. I have a 24' sailboat and want to use it as a tender/dinghy. I intend to drag it in the water behind the sailboat and when I get to some shallow flats I will anchor in deeper water and then be able to use the Bass Raider in much shallower water. I live on the Gulf coast of Florida. I currently use a Hobie Outback for this but it is not nearly as stable of a platform as the Bass Raider nor does it have the weight capacity. I have a 2HP Honda 4 stroke that I intend to use on it.
I like what you did with your Bass Raider. Your video has given me some inspiration as to how I will end up modifying mine when I get it. Looks great, nice and clean mods (well finished). I would have tried to limit the amount of new holes in the hull by putting the battery voltage monitor in the battery box lid rather than cutting a hole that large into the boat. As long as you keep an eye on it though and keep it sealed well, it should be OK. You don't want water intrusion into the hull, it will get really heavy and be a pain to get out. I have read some reviews from other people who have had issues with that.
Thanks Rory for the great review and thanks for Subscribing. It has been a fun little boat indeed and would like to move up to a larger fishing boat in the next couple of years. This one is also nice for lakes that only allow for electric only boats. As for your comment on the water getting into the hull, I have never had an issue with that yet. If i get any sort of water on the inside floor I use a sponge to mop up and ring out. The pontoon drains are high up and each side as you have probably noticed and I do tip forward occasionally to let out any small bits of water that might have squeaked past the edge liner. Then I leave them open for a couple days to completely dry out.
Great boat
Great looking boat
Great job 👍
Man that is awesome.
Awesome build. Kinda wanna add small lights now but had been planning on keeping mine people powered without a battery or motor.
Suddenly not so sure.
Awesome little boat brother you did a fantastic job rigging it up! I have to disagree though you can never have to many mods 😂 I also really liked the editing you done in the video very nice! Keep up the great work I’m looking forward to checking out some more of your videos!
Much appreciated, hope to get some more videos out soon.
Looks awesome.
Great job ! Tight Lines.
Great ideas!
I really like this
I would change that motor for a 5hp tiller and I would also fill it with 2 part closed cell foam.
Nice build though!
Nice job
Nice video!
Love the mods to your bass raider. I got one for Christmas and would love to have your setup. I too live in NC. Wish you could do mine.
Best one yet
That was awesome
I am trying to wire my boat up similar to this to for navigation lights and a fish finder.. I am looking for some insight on how to do it. You got me stoked.
Great ideas! I'm always reluctant to drill holes in boats, especially on the side where you have your transducer mount. What do you do to waterproof things after you do that? What kind of weight can you support on a mount like that (not that a transducer is heavy)? I've thought about installing a bimini, trying to work out some details 1st.
I just got a old v hull for 400 and refurbished it then I just got a pelican
kayak I think this will be the next toy
Excellent!
Music is 🔥 Got me going 😆
I’m a little late to the party, but dang. What a nice video and an even greater build.
Perfect! You don’t do any thing half way. Beautifully done.
Yeah, this one is nice!! And I’ve seen about 30 videos on bass raider mods!
Thank you, wish I still had it. Bought me a Bass Tracker instead.
I like using my trolling motor up front. Seems to go faster. Maybe it’s just an illusion lol nice mods tho thanks for the ideas
Nice job 👀
Great Mods
Can you provide the design and size of the PVC pipe used for the LED lights and rods on the front of your boat?
I just got my Raider 10e and will keep following your great vids. Do you have a link for the electrical rocker panel? Thanks.
Here you go. I just pieced it together with Switches I found on Amazon. Thanks for watching and enjoy your new Pelican Bass Raider 10e.

Man, I REALLY would love to see how you did a lot of this! I cant seem to figure out how I would run my wires and set up that switch panel. I'd love to have my Pelican looking this fresh!
I just drilled the small holes in the middle and towards the stern to pass the wires back and forth. With all the hard Styrofoam it is challenging for sure. I suggest getting a second person to help with this. My wife was a huge help in getting the wires through the hull. If I were to do it again, not so sure I would have done all the extra work, but it does grab the attention of others. Using wire hangers to pass the wire through was also a big help. Once you get one wire through, attach a guide pull-wire so you can pull back and forth for future wire runs.
@@TheMechnicalOwl Amazing mods! Did u consider running all the wires inside the hull so u didn't have to run them down the middle of the bottom and add a floor to the boat? Does having the wires in the bottom of the boat prevent u from washing boat out with a hose?
Danggit man. Awesome rig
Thank you, it was a fun project.
Awesome!!
Very impressive
Hey great videos guys! I was curious how you fished the cable through the hull for the depth finder?
Yep I want one.
Completely badass! Bro this is the best one I've seen yet. And the background music is perfect. I got some questions one pvc pipe size. Get with me if you can. And always keepem tight
PVC used was 1 1/2"
Very nice!
Chris can you give more info on how you did your pvc rigging for poles and lights on the front of your pelican, please! I just bought the same boat and love your setup. We’d like to do the same but would like more info and punch list. Thank you so much.
Thanks!
Awesome 👏🏼
I really appreciate all the mods you did to your Pelican 10e. I need to find a way to modify mine so I can use oars. Do you have any tips or ideas?
