Very good comment. Some people need tough love but some commenters here do not understand what tough love is. Truth of the matter is millions of Filipinos are in deep poverty and desperation cuz they have many kids early in their lives, have no education, skills or jobs. Too many unskilled Filipinos and not enough jobs for them. It’s not always the government’s fault.😒😏🤨 Philippines has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the world. Sometimes the truth needs to be told.

You are totally right from your perspective... at the same time it's also a learning experience not given from each generation.
Soo much needs to be taught from early on and to break the cycle... The one thing I've seen is the attempt for the families to support eachother is so Strong in the raising until the kids change paths or a Catastrophe change's there path....
Yeah umm they weren't patronising at all. The English sub titles translation make it sound like that but I'm Filipino who grew up here in Austalia and while my Tagalog isn't the best, I can still clearly see that they've been very kind to the couple. The Filipino to English translation doesn't really represent how or what they've said it. Some words just doesn't tranlate across the best, lile some words have no specific English translation so to speak. Anyway, I just wanted to clarify that they weren't demeaning whatsoever. They were actually quite nice and supportive of the couple.

I volunteer for a charity and we're thought to be non judgemental. Judgement gets in the way of helping and can influence how you help or how much you help. Just my perspective 😁.

Having babies, missing fathers seems to be very common in the Philippines. I've been there twice now, and see poverty, however so many absent fathers. Foreigners can be chased for child support, but Filipino absent fathers cannot be traced. Contraception and tighter laws on child support will wipe out a lot of these issues. Women having the will to keep their legs closed might help! Poverty around the world, lazy mentality needs to change. You can re-visit the family in 5 years, still same situation, father will disappear with another woman having more multiple kids.
Lack of education about birth control and the catholic church oppose to using it. This is part of what our culture has become since catholism. They used to give free BC at public health clinic but not anymore.

Yes poverty is inevitable but, unlike us westerners we can’t live without all the extras. These two have each other and that’s all they need. The help you have provided them gives hope in their minds that they will overcome any obstacle. I am so proud to be Filipino, no matter what our hearts are always gentle and kind to one another. These people are able to control hunger and survive but not able to control sexual desires....that's why giving birth to more children being in poverty... Just for 10 minutes pleasure they allow their children to suffer in poverty till death...

The objective of the programme is commendable. However the interviewers need to be more mindful When conducting the interview so as not to hurt the feelings of the interviewees. I hope questions that border on their private lives are not asked in public because as a viewer I find it quite embarrassing to digest. I give credit to Cesar and his team for their painstaking effort though as it shows care and concern for their fellow citizens in need.
I'm 23 with a blind mother who goes to dialysis. I take care of her. But with the help of my sister. I have no kids (I know kids are expensive) and I still have some struggles. I'm grateful for the system set in place in the U.S. I get support from them and the doctors and nurses. Without the help set in place. I would be hopeless. I wish to work in the hospital someday. Give back.

Oh so kind generous caring loving donations and Sir Mark and team. I so glad this family have something to eat and drink etc.. covid 19 lockdown many jobs and business are close down now struggling. This families so lucky. These gifts has definitely put a smile on couple and their kids faces. So happy for them all.

Ceaser is not a good interviewer. His questions are too intrusive and sometimes just unkind. Why torment this woman about her mother insisting that she ask her forgiveness? She's obviously realized she made a mistake for which there is no solution given her poverty. Berating her for her decisions will change nothing and cause more heartache. Yes, they married too soon - drop the preaching.

Wealthy Filipinos around the world allow this to happen in their home country. Filipinos have mansions and yachts but they pretend this is not happening at home. They are very selfish to allow this to happen in 2020.

I'm a bit confused. Is she 23? It said she was 4 months pregnant when they got married. And also that she married at 17. Also that the eldest is 2. So if she was pregnant at 17 she would be no older than 19/20 or is there an older child that was adopted out because if she is 23 that should make the baby she was carrying at 17 around 5/6? Or am I missing something?
