How it works:
Your contribution goes straight to the individual/family we reach/help.
After we reached/helped 1 individual/family: We then move on to help another.
Our objective is to reach 1 economically poor individual/family, one at a time.
Important notes:
1. I personally don't receive/get/take/pocket any amount of financial contributions from you guys.
Your contributions go straight to the families we reach and to other expenses.
2. I do not publish on youtube the stories of the families we reach w/o a signed release agreement and parental/guardian consent.
The release agreement gives me a permission to publish their stories on youtube.
3. Business, personal and GoFundMe fundraiser accounts: All the funds, contributions, sources of income and other monetary sources that go into my accounts are being reported to the taxman. My bank also reports to the taxman every year, by the end of the year, FYI.
There's a Certified Public Accountant who does the accounting and auditing of my accounts.
The Certified Public Accountant reports to the taxman.
4. You don't need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution to give help to people in the Philippines.
Reaching and giving help to people in the Philippines is not illegal.
There's no law that states, that you need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution first, before you are able to give help to people legally.
5. GoFundMe checks the fundraiser account from time to time.
They sometimes ask for verification and validation.
The reason why I upload films about poverty in the Philippines is to spread awareness.
To combat economic inequality, social injustice, oppressions, repressions, abuses and exploitations:
1st: We have to be aware.
2nd: We should pay attention.
3rd: We are ought to do something about it.
We as Filipinos and citizens of this planet should not turn a blind eye, not to play deaf and not to pretend mute.
We as human beings have a responsibility to give care and to show compassion to others.
We as citizens have a great responsibility to safeguard our ball of genuine democracy.
We as citizens have a responsibility to fight tyranny and corruption.

It's fascinating to see people who have child after child when they are struggling with extreme poverty. Simple living can be honorable if it's done with high thinking.

You lament parenthood, did you toss your babies into the gutter to die? Children are a blessing, they need and give honest love.
Just because the parents can't give the start in life that you think a minimum, it does not follow that everybody who can't match your expectations should give up and let his life be empty of family.
Not only does it feed her family, it also helps to clean the environment,,,so she is doing good, no matter what others around her say.

At 20:58 I could see some flower pots with plants. I have often wondered why the poor people don't grow some vegetables and herbs in pots? They don't even need real pots - they can use whatever a container that they find, like a plastic bucket or even sturdy plastic bags or old sacks. Growing, even just a few vegetable plants, e.g. potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, onions, garlic, lettuce, cabbage, kale, etc., could give them some vitamins, fiber and other nutrients. Would it be possible to buy them some seeds or young plants so they could grow them? I mean, every single family in the slums could do that. They do have some space for a couple of pots.
Abject poverty sure makes u look older and stressful.

Neighbor's will regret insulting her now she has 5 bags of rice. She finally got to smile in the end of this interview. I pray they go back and give more food, medicine for the little girl, whatever MaryAnn needs for her children and baby. May God be with them all.
God bless him? the guy pockets donations. I have no proof of such except that I lived in the Philippines 20 years. I KNOW filipinos. What is shocking is that so few who can afford to give don't know life.
@@joewilliams7783 Here's a lesson i learned in life. God says to give to the poor. If someone that receives money to help the poor and pockets as you stated, they will stand infront of God and answer for what they have done. You did your part by giving out of kindness and obeying God. Mark helps alot of families, so we should be grateful for that. Look at how many families, if he didn't, look at how many families would of never got help.

I wonder when the daughter will make the decision to stop having babies. This, if I am correct will be her 7th childbearing at her age of 33. I feel sorry for the small daughter who was sick, too sick to even eat. You can see the torment in her eyes. That type of poverty has a very serious, and often lifelong mentally damaging effect on a child. I fear that she will repeat the cycle of her grandmother and her mother as it is all that she will most likely ever know.
Mark u r doing a good job with these people, but my opinion is see if u cau get them on birth control pills, giving them food stuff is good, but they need to be thought of prevention
Watching this is a real eye opener. You see who the lack of birth control leads directly to suffering.
Who taught you that access to birth control has an impact on overpopulation? Did you not take sociology in college? The poor have children because they can have family, even though they don't have a Saab.

I don't believe that some of these people want to have so many children. I guess poverty has some of them blinded due to lacking knowledge and also being not able to afford birth control. I am happy to see them so happy in receiving help. Mark and team also all involved great job helping out the families. God bless.

Lola Ely is putting in a graft so big respect to her. I hope she doesn’t share that bigas with her kapitbahay’s. Mary Anne looked so pitiful. Sadly those children of hers will repeat this cycle. Being poor should not exempt anyone from having children but common sense has to kick in at some point.
I recall one of your earlier videos, of a woman working on a farm. She got chemicals in her eyes, and made her blind.

im half filipino and american living in the states. i am ready to find a wife in Philippines to have a kid with.
There’s no amount of help that can alleviate these poor people’s lives unless the root of the problem is addressed: their own worldview if they have one. They came from poor families, they were surrounded by poor living conditions, they grew up poor, they will go through the motions of the vicious cycle of poverty, exercising their right to have babies even though the couple cannot even have enough for the two of them, they will have poor families of their own and work all day for a cup of rice. They don’t even have a floor in their bamboo shacks. That’s their view as the normal. This is the entire society’s responsibility-- government, government agencies involved in social welfare and health, government agency involved in education, local governments, local health care and social welfare, government housing, census, business corporations, schools, etc-- all agencies government and private then we as volunteers. This will happen when we have a leader or leaders who really care for our country. Until then, all they can have is help that gives temporary relief from the subhuman life that they themselves (without thinking) chose to live. Education for the young should be the government’s focus among other kinds of assistance.
