Brilliant swing training from you and Mr. Hogan! I've been watching CZcams golf instruction videos for over 5 years, and nobody has ever mentioned that speed happens in two parts - body, and then arms+hands. I have watched "A" players at my course and noticed that their hands picked up speed through the ball, but I had no clue as to how they made that happen. Now, I know. Thank you!
Also, I mentioned in an earlier post that one of the differences between you and Danny Maude is that Danny uses a launch monitor. Now that I've seen a few of your videos shot on a real golf course, I like your approach much better. I like seeing real results! With launch monitors I get smothered in numbers generated by a computer that don't help my game at all.

Apparently Hogan had 6 degree flat lie angles compared to standard. Would be super interesting to see you bend a club that flat and make another video. It would promote a very rounded Hogan style swing. Maybe have another club at standard to swing both and describe the feeling.

Steve, one of your best videos to date. Thanks. I’m watching the API from Bay Hill and your video between shots and every one of the pros have their left hip starting the downswing.

Good stuff, Steve! I haven’t read this Hogan book but have The Five Fundamentals. Really enjoying your videos and the Eureka swing. I picked my canes up this afternoon and can’t until it dries out to give the Test a go!

I played with a golfer who had a swing just like yours Steve. I had to ask him if he was a Ben Hogan "student" and in fact he he was. His ball striking was super consistent.

Nice one Steve. I remember getting this or one of his other books 35 years ago. As an early teenager, the book alone assisted in dropping my handicap to single digits. Such a master of the game we love.

So the previous two part video you made regarding the finished position of your driver I started doing drills like that at the range and it was noted that I was automatically swinging my hips first without thinking

Thanks Steve, for referencing Moe Norman, a Canadian golfing icon. I enjoy you vocal and demonstrations of Mr Hogan's words. Who do you think hit more balls in practice? Moe or Ben?

Good stuff. Power Golf was published 1948, 5 Fundamentals 1957. Videos of Hogan ought to help too, but slo mo not so good back then. Issue for me is the arm swing - think there has to be some arm movement in addition to body turn to reach the release position?

Just played a round of golf. Started by trying a similar swing to Bryson (had success at the range) but it didnt work well. Got to the 8th hole and went back to a eureka swing. Hit one ball with 6 iron 15 yards short of the green. Switched to my eureka swing, hit 6 iron again, flew the green and even flew the road to the clubhouse landing behind the clubhouse 😂 not shitting you, hit another one with 7 iron and landed on the green 20 yards further than the 1st 6 iron i hit.
You couldnt make it up, i just started laughing to myself 😂 safe to say eureka swing is my go to swing now!

Looking at Hogan’s swing the first left to left looks like a very strong lateral hip “ bump” left rather than turn.

Literally my jaw dropped. I went out to the garage and tried this. I have been working on my swing all winter and lost a ton of speed. CHS was 103-108 after i just had finished working out. Incredible

Ben Hogan had a longer backswing (higher hands) making his drop into slot maybe a foot more than yours. For years I have been outside in and at 70 realized the cause. Trying to generate clubhead speed my body took over, imagine thinking (incorrectly) that the center of the swing was my chest and the faster I moved it tada. Now I realize the return of the hands back toward the ball take a shorter path much like I’m hitting with a hammer which keeps the club on a more in to out path. Having said all of that I love your videos especially your sense of humour. You and Danny Maude are my favorite instructors.

      Thanks for the compliment 🙏🏻
Hogan actually swung a little over the top in relation to his backswing yet still hit from in-to-out in relation to the target line. Eureka!!!
