This gives me so much anxiety,lol. I had a brutal Meisner professor at Academy of Art and he’d literally emotionally destroy, and at times get aggressively angry, with us when we weren’t authentically responding to each other.

52:25 she's so good but I just want to shake her. She reminds me of me in first year when I used to think that as am actor you have to "act" and "acting" is serious so I have to be serious. I have to change my voice and affect mannerisms and *then* I'll be "acting" 😂😂😂😂 Obviously I figured it out in the end.

The meisner technique is intended to be connected so you go into remote online class, what a joke. Great business $$$ idea bad learning environment .
We are sorry that you felt the need to jump to such conclusions, considering you haven’t taken any of our online classes yet. We assume you haven’t seen any of our student testimonials either. It has been amazing to see the deep levels of connection, and the belief in the imaginary circumstances that we have seen our actors reach through our online program. We have lots of videos showing this success. If you’d like to take the time to watch some of our videos on relationships and scene work I think you will be impressed. @@thehoudeschoolofacting5472 dumb inexperienced Gen X students that can’t even socialize normally and spend the majority of their time on social media have little credibility to their testimony . It’s like asking a blind person where true north is haha. I studied with Lee Strasburg, another BS guru marketing the Method. I’ve studied with Gene Frankel , Stella Adler , Neighborhood playhouse , HB Studio and Robert X Modica so I think I know a thing or 2 about quality acting coaching . And the difference between scam artists wannabee gurus that are all about exploiting for profit in which predicate on dream like naïve acting students .
