Reducing shrink tubing on your carp rigs used to be a time-consuming faff. That’s not the case in 2023 thanks to ND’s new gadget: the Shrink Tuber. It’s a tackle box-friendly 11 x 3cm battery-powered pen with a ceramic heating plate up top. The plate rises to 90-120°C for a few seconds, allowing you to run the part of your rig with the shrink tubing along the plate, reducing it down in a few seconds!

I don't drink any hot drinks, so don't take a kettle, so this could be handy, but I think it should have more of a V top rather then a flat top.

I’m a firm believer in the seven “P’s” so I tend to make plenty of rigs up in advance which saves me the faff of doing it on the bank. Far more time for gluttony that way 👌🏻😋
At least make it magnetic on the bottom so we can use both hands when we shrink the tube.

Nice product, but i think a lighter is more versatile, although good for people that struggle to shrink tubing without ruining there rig using a lighter.

Another great presentation from Carpology but yet another unnecessary gadget that anglers will need a USB / power bank for 😩
This device could cause fires if it’s activated in your tackle bag or box by mistake. Imagine your shed or garage going up in flames because you didn’t shrink your tubing whilst making a coffee on the bank with the kettle like you’ve done a thousand times with no dramas. I certainly won’t be getting this product - ND stop trying to reinvent the wheel

Just use the nash shrinker tube if you want a new toy and save yourself a tenner and it's lighter than the nd.

I do love a lot of ND products. But I think I will stick to my lighter on this one. Even you were struggling to get it right, and you do this for a living!! 😮😢

Most people will still need a kettle so now your going to carry more stuff. I think this fishing gadgetry is getting out of hand, inventing stuff for a problem that doesn't exist.

Would have a lot more helpful if you had shown us how bare braid and mono/flouro reacts to it. I’m guessing badly, that’s why it wasn’t shown. Come on carpology, do some no bullshit reviews instead of the ‘you need this’ adverts!
Im gussing the fact you only tested coated braid on that is it will melt everything else.Even melts the shrink tubing if you hold it there too long such a useless product.

or just use a lighter, 3 for £1. Wet the rig with a big gob of spit so you don't burn it and carefully flame the tube.
