      You ommitted to add the smartband can also be used for turning on and off the bivvy light remotely. On a run the light only stays on for about 20 seconds one press of the button on the smart band turns it on until you press it again to switch it off very useful.

      @@WetLines I recently bought a set of four of the nd1 alarms. They work on the same receiver as the S9 so have all the features and I also bought the bivvy light and smart band. I have used them for about 2 months now and generally they are fine. The only issue being that two of them do not hold a charge properly. One will actually discharge completely when switched off if left for 4 days which is a bit disappointing. The other dodgy one will last quite a little bit longer but will still not take a full charge or it will but will discharge faster than the two that are ok if you see what I mean? To be fair with new Direction they asked me to return them and they would send me another set but I've pimped them with my own logos etc so I won't do that. I researched on the net a little bit and apparently with the l i o n battery if you let it discharge completely and freeze it for 24-hours and let it thaw out over a couple of hours and then recharge this sometimes brings the l i o n back to full capacity, so I am going to try that first. Of course the whole alarm will have to go in the freezer because they are a sealed unit and there is no way you can get inside them to remove the battery. Apart from that they are great alarms very compact and I did a range test the other day and managed approximately 300 yards with these mini alarms.

    Fantastic review , i have the K9's and they are a great bit of kit just wish they would sort the app out for the receiver as it just does not work on new android devices i contacted New Direction and been told the same thing for the last 6 months they are working on it but besides that ND alarms and accessories are the mutts nutts great bits of kit .

      @WetLines Před 3 lety

      Cheers Liam! Appreciate that. I love them, I came from a set of delkims, which I'm sure for some people are far superior. But for me, the features these have and the accessories to link make them a brilliant choice. Sure there's the odd niggly thing with apps and such, but they're the ones for me!!

    • @WetLines
      @WetLines Před 8 měsíci +1

      Nope, no issues. I'll be honest, I have recently upgraded to fox alarms, just coz. But the alarms didn't let me down. The light did after a year or so stop functioning as it should, I think I got it wetter than it should have been possibly. The wrist strap thing I stopped using, wasn't really a sufficient enough vibration for me personally. Head torch was fine, no issues with that. So overall, bite alarms and receiver absolutely spot on great value and zero issues.

      Hi. Thanks for the feedback and honestly, since using them there's nothing I don't like about them that I've discovered yet.
